ASUS wifi 6
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.My previous router was also an ASUS it lasted me for 6 years ( that s 6 years of 24-hour usage!) so when it was slowing down, I just look for the latest ASUS model and my gamer son insist that I buy this! We are both satisfied.

Does not work with Xfinity in Jetsey City.

Xfinity could not find the routet even though I could see the default SSID. I then tried through the app. Here again, I got as far as changeing the SSID to something I wanted,but it would not save the changes. The app hung up and would not save. I deleted and reinstalled acfeq times, same results. Then after I gave up, I saw the SSID I chose, broadcasting, but I could not get into router admin to check the password or setup anything else. The app would not function.

Was great then wasn't
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had this for several years now. Bought it at Best buy. It was perfect then about 3 weeks ago it started dropping the connection with the modem red light would come on for about 15 seconds then it would finally reconnect and after another 15 seconds would be back online. But in that 30 seconds all the devices would stop what they were doing and some would require manual intervention to continue on. Others would just require you start over what you were doing. So we are going to switch to a Gen 7 router now.

Asus - Buggiest Routers with Great Marketing
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Asus makes the worst routers, They are plagued with a Watchdog auto firmware update bugs and floods of deauthorization packets, even if you have auto update switched OFF, itll just kick all your devices off the network randomly for anywhere from 5 minutes to an hour, to check for a non-existent update! Do you have time for that? I do not. Of course after 2 weeks/30 days your stuck with the most annoying piece of networking hardware. Their updates have not fixed any of these issues littering the search result of google. 3rd party Merlin software is your best bet IF they make it for your model.. Will never but another Asus router again. Of course they do not give 2 pieces and offer no help whatsoever. absolute junk with a nice web GUI. These reviews are likely before they start acting up, which I assure you they will

Asus is unreliable. Do not buy.
