Customers often highlight the excellent range and signal strength of the ROG Rapture GT-AX6000, with many praising its ease of setup and user-friendly interface. The router's strong performance, particularly for gaming, and extensive coverage are also frequently cited as positive aspects. Additionally, the availability of 2.5G ports is a key selling point for users needing faster wired connections.

Adds more speed with Charters 1 gig plan

Works well. Delivers over 1 gigabit speed with Charter Spectrum. Charter overprovisions the 1gig plan by 1100megabits/per sec. If you have a cable modem that has a 2.5gig port with Charter, you can get the overprovisioned speeds with this router. Currently I am pulling down 1060mb/s with steam and blizzard downloads. So I am getting 120mb/s extra with this router vs spectrums rental. Not to mention this thing is eons more powerful than what spectrum gives out. Well worth the upgrade if you want to eek out more speed from your Charter gigabit plan.

WOW!!! Is all I have to say about this fine piece of machinery! Bought 2 and set up the Aimesh feature. Blazing fast, full signal anywhere inside the house, front yard and back yard! You WILL NOT regret your purchase!! Very highly recommended! BTW this is a DUAL BAND router (2.5GHz & 5GHz) NOT a TRI BAND as listed in the Best Buy description but I was well aware of this before my purchase being that I did my proper research on this product before purchasing as I do on anything I buy now a days. Go get this today!

I bought this router to replace my old router that only had 1Gb WAN Port so it couldn't take advantage of 1.2G Internet that I got an upgrade from provider recently. The GT-AX6000 not only connects to modem at higher speed but also has better throughput and wider coverage so that even the camera at the far corner of my house get full signal strength, highly recommend for anyone who wants a single router setup for small to medium house.

upgraded my old RT-AC86U to this beast and so far I'm happy with my purchase. i'm running the Merlin firmware with no issue. Router is responsive and fast. I'm able to reach 1300Mbps with my 1.2Gig connection. Wifi6 works as it should. The few cons would be: -Should be tri-band for the price -maybe another 2.5g port or even a 10g one. Overall i'm satisfied with the Router

I har been using the AX5400 and was satisifed with its wired and wireless speeds. The range was not auite what i required for full civerage of the home so i opted to set up an Ai mesh using another router. I caught this AX6000 on a sale so i grabbed it to serve as primary access abd set the 5400 as a node. With the 6000, the speed tests show my download speed when wired. The 5400 never quite reachec the full download, but is perfect when expanding a string signal throughout the furthest partw if the house. The AX6000 perforns wondefully as the primary access point. THE router to get if you have 2gig internet

If you have 2gig internet, this is the router for you. I had to pair it with an AXE11000 router to get the full potential of my 2gig subscription (AXE11000 has Wi-Fi 6e) but worth it in the end. This AX6000 as the router with 2gig in, out 2gig to a 2.5 gig switch to use for other 2 gig devices, switch to the AXE11000 2gig WAN set in access point mode. I have turned off the antennas on the AX6000 to use it as my ethernet in and out for the 2gig ethernet so I can't speak to its Wi-Fi coverage but it's handling the ethernet perfectly.

Believe the hype on this router! Getting better internet than what my ISP provides especially from an upload perspective. Awesome having QoS and other features not typically provided when you rent from your ISP. Range works perfectly too as I am writing this on my back patio almost on the opposite corner of the house from where the router is placed.

    Perfect For My Needs

I needed a router that could cover my 2200 sq ft home. Instead of getting a mesh system, I decided to go with a more powerful router. This router provides the coverage that I need on the 2.4GHz band. 5GHz band is weaker at the further distances. The features are really useful. Make sure that if you want to use the Asus Router App, that you use it for the initial setup, otherwise, you may not be able to use the app without setting the device to factory defaults. It's a bit pricey, but for my needs, it works great. Also, I love that I can setup a secondary WAN connection and the router fails over to the secondary when the primary is down. I can also tether my phone to the router in the event of an outage. I recommend for anyone that works from home and has a similar use case.

    Disappointment

Overall, disappointed with this product. I have had other ROG products in the past, and this one by far performed the worst. Ever since getting this, we've had intermittent connection and constant drops. Just recently after 2 years and 2 months of owning this router the whole thing just stopped working. I attempted to reset it back to factory defaults and it won't even boot up anymore. The manufacturers warranty expires after 2 years. The app is easy to use and the setup was hassle free. But the product itself needs work.

Super solid piece of kit. Connectivity is fast and easy and the signal strength is superb across a 2000sq ft apartment with many structural walls in between the various rooms. Looks like a Half Life 2 head crab but at least the RGB is somewhat toned down from the previous model.

Fast, great range, the app is extremely useful and easy to navigate options without having to deal with a web browser on a computer, allows managing the device while away from the home as well. The only downside is a router this expensive not having triple band and is still only dual band.
