This thing is ridiculous. Over kill really. The speeds i now get on my pc is insane. Highly recommend if you a are gamer.

This is the possibly the coolest router I have ever worked with, literally. It barely gets warm to the touch at all even under a heavy workload. The firmware is a little flaky, especially with the MLO, but it is definitely a great router despite the ridiculously high price.

The portal is alive! Such a great router, easy to set up and use with all the mesh devises we have. Use it for small business and WFH stations.

Expensive, but worth it? I got the ASUS ROG BE98 Pro BE30000 to get the most from my internet service. I replaced a Linksys EA9500, which has to be more than 10 years old. I have 2Gig Internet service and was only getting in the 500's download speeds. I was hoping this would have gotten me to the 2Gig level. I did get 1185 megs down only once, but I'm still stuck in the 500's down.

Works great. Lots of options. The only thing I don't like is the web user interface. It's very slow to load.

I had an 8-year-old ASUS router, which wasn’t really up to modern standards. I went ahead and got the best router available. The ROG Rapture GT-BE98 Pro. It looked like a perfect router with plenty of ways to configure it. The onboard OS offers plenty of options to tailor your home network. So I decided to start pretty much vanilla with just the default settings on a basic home network. The problem was that things couldn’t get a reliable connection. This isn’t my first rodeo, as I have been in the computer design business since the 1980s. I went through every step I’d learned before, and still things refused to connect. I like a challenge, so I went in search of other remedies. I came up empty, so I called ASUS Tech support. Several calls later, I took it back to Best Buy and exchanged it for a new router. I got the new one home, and it was even worse than the first. It took between three and ten minutes to connect to the internet, and then you had a very poor connection. Connecting the internet to the 10G port (Default) enabled LAN but disabled Internet. Connecting to 5G allowed internet, but no LAN. It would take my computer a minimum of 5 minutes to connect to the internet when connected via an Ethernet cable. I called support and was escalated to Tier-2 support, who would contact me within two business days! I called three business days later and was escalated once more, but still no calls. I called and asked to be transferred to tier two support. I was transferred, and they had me email them the router config file. I will be contacted within two business days. Here we are more than two weeks later with no calls from tech support. I did get an email from them with questions, and I answered them, and still no calls. I need a router to be functional out of the box. The two I bought may be from a bad batch. ASUS has done nothing to keep me as a customer. Before you ask, yes, the internet is completely functional on just the modem and on other routers.

This router has been handling all of the devices well so far. ASUS has always been consistent, and the products never have let me down.

I think the price is a bit high; I think I can buy something cheaper that offers the same quality.
