Great until DIMM slots stopped working

Mine was a faulty board so I’m forced to give it 1 star. Otherwise, it’s good value and I will RMA it so I get my money’s worth.

It is easy to work with and the BIOS is easy to navigate as well. Very solid choice for any build, especially if you want to save some money

Great BIOS, easy to setup
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Installed a AMD Ryzen 2600. This BIOS is awesome, so easy to use and so easy to flash/update. After installing windows and installing the AI suite III, the suite application will walk you through BIOS flash. Nice and easy. Please note that one side of the RAM/DIMM housing does not open like it does normally.

Overclocking in BIOS is automated and manual settings are only available with the beta version apparently. I’ve also had about 6 hours of problems trying to get the WiFi PCI slot to recognize a WiFi card. Updating chipsets and utilities on this card is a nightmare and will lead you down a rabbit hole of issues. Needless to say I’m still using a USB WiFi adapter.

The issue I’m currently having is that the Mobo has issues with cpu coolers. 3/4 RyZen fans later and one finally works. I put a RyZen 7 3700 in with its stock fan( for now) I thought the issue was the header. But my RyZen 5 2600 fan works. So there is an issue with certain fans not working.

You need to update the BIOS in order to use, for example, the Ryzen 3700x. But in order to update the BIOS, you need to have access to a first or second generation AMD chip. If you do not have one, you need to find someone that does, bring it back to a computer center to install the BIOS for you, or request a loaner chip from AMD. In other words, it is a huge hassle.
