Customers praise the ROG Strix B450-F Gaming motherboard for its ease of use, attractive LED lighting, and user-friendly BIOS. Many appreciate its performance and competitive price, along with the ample RGB options and good compatibility with various AMD Ryzen processors. However, some users point out the lack of integrated Bluetooth and WiFi as a drawback. A few also mention minor concerns regarding RAM compatibility and the number of available fan headers.

Love the computer I built using this board.

Was used to build a computer with other Best Buy off the shelf parts and a case ordered online. It worked, it is fast, no delay in loading App or watching videos even though I did not expand it with a video card (I am not really a Gamer). For My use it works perfectly at a reasonable price. I would suggest YouTube videos about computer builds before use, unless you are an experienced computer builder. The instructions received with it were pretty complete and easy to understand. Still they covered only the board, other items installed was easier with a certain level of knowledge and experience a video can help with.

Amazing Motherboard with a small flaw

This was a great motherboard except one flaw which was no 3 pin connectors which kind of disappointed me, I thought the chipset heat sink had then because of the picture which it doesn’t, but I should’ve known that, never seen a chipset with rgb, I had to get a separate hub in order to use 3 pins and in order to connect it to the motherboard I had to use 4 to 3 pin transformers, other than those flaws, if you don’t need 3 pin connectors then it’s a great motherboard, the rgb is amazing and super customizable with armoury crate, would definitely recommend to a friend this is a very high quality motherboard.

Was worried it would not be ryzen 3 compatible, but came ready to use. No issues so far and runs great. Also looks great with rgb setup.

Great broad, perfect layout of connectors, love how great my NVME SSD runs. Easy bios to set the XMP and other monitoring. Really love the RGB included and absolutely nothing to complain about. The voltage for my CPU was a little higher than I thought it should have been so I slightly under volted it. I’m not sure if the board did that or the cpu because it’s a common issue with ryzen chips and multiple people commented about the issue with every brand of motherboard. But it didn’t hurt anything and it’s a 5 second fix.

Was a nice cheaper board, worked right out of the box with my 3800x. Overclocks well, but does warm up a little bit.

This motherboard is everything I expected it to be for $95 (when I bought it). I put my 2700x processor in this motherboard, and I can overclock BCLK to 103 which turns it into 4.0Ghz, but anything after crashes and for some reason disables my SATA ports (lol), so I've stuck to high overclocks on my x470 motherboard (also by Asus but non-ROG). I'm able to overclock my RAM to 3400Mhz without XMP (because XMP is terrible IMO). It's more expensive than some or most B450 because it has more overclocking capabilities, and because it's ROG. The BIOS has a built-in AI OC, which means it will find the best settings according to your CPU cooler and apply the overclock. Don't know what else to say so here's a pro/con list.
Pros
-cheap
-effective
-works with Zen+ right out the box
-RGB (duh)
-IO shield preinstalled
-all the design details
-good heatsinks for cooler parts
-two m.2 SSD slots? or ports? whatever you call them
-easy overclock, in fact, there is an AI overclock
-6 SATA ports for some reason
-8 USB ports
-crisp audio
-comes with stickers
Cons
-sometimes the AI OC doesn't work
-no SLI (big let down for me, I was gonna try 2080 NVlink)
-not sure if this is a B450 thing or all MOBOs, but if you put a PCI-e 8x, it will convert your GPU from 16x to 8x too
-no built in wifi, dish out $30 on an ASUS USB wifi adapter or just go ethernet

For those wondering, you can install Ryzen 3rd gen. Just make sure to have the updated bios ready on a usb and do that first! Smooth sailing after that!

This motherboard is really good in my experience I have been using this for about a month and I have not had a single problem. The BIOS was incredibly easy to figure out and had no issues adjusting my ram speeds when my RAM defaulted to a lower speed. If you are thinking about getting this, I definitely recommend it, just make sure the board is compatible with what you want to use.

Had to replace my old b350 micro atx motherboard. Gotta say this was much better. Lots of room, lots of options. I cannot stress the importance of having at least 3 cpu fan headers. It's got an led logo at the top left, fully configurable with aura sync. No issues with it, plus asus showers you with merch when you get this. Got a nice door hanger. 9.9/10 some people may want wifi.

This went into my first complete build. In the past I changed components as needed and it was time for a new mobo and this is the first time I have ever installed one. It was a walk in the park. The only problem I am having is trying to mount a cooler to the top, As you can see there is a few things in the way if your trying to go with a big cooler. Or maybe I needed a wider case? Who knows but it all worked out in the end.

I have tried many MB manufacturers in the past, and after all these years Asus still gives me the least amount of issues on a build. This one is no different. I built a machine with my nephew, and everything went together without issue. AMD 1600, 16GB RAM, AMD 5700, and an old 128GB SSD with 1gb mechanical. Easy to recommend.
