Like many before me have said this laptops 7200 RPM HDD is very slow. that being said i threw an MX300 525GB SSD in it and it was good to go! Also the heat issues were solved by under volt (intel extreme tuning utility) and i run fan speed manual at 100% at all times since it does not bother me in any way. the GTX1070 is a monster. i found this after i bought the gl502 with a 3gb 1060 and could not take it back quick enough for this one(gl702vs)

This pc is quick. Love the speed it boots up compared to my old HP laptop. Love the 17.3 display! Still setting it up and finding a few things as I get use to Windows 10.

Great gaming laptop... A good middle ground between a cheap laptop and really high end

Purchased this to use at the race track for rendering Go-Pro video from our race car. Couldn't be happier with the results so far. The graphics card makes it so much quicker to get a decent final video than my old laptop.

This pc performs better than i could have imagined. I can play my favorite games, skyrim, doom, fallout 4 ect all on highest settings with no problems and run anything I want in the background at the same time. Grrat high end gaming pc under 2k :) Recommended

This sits on a cooling fan on my desk and there is minimal heat in the computer. 2nd Asus machine and love them both. I recommend this item and am getting a 2nd one to replace an older dell xps L702

I Was allways a fan Of ASUS. This Asus Strix is amazing! Plenty of memory and space, graphic are awesome especially with G-Sync. I absolutely recommend this laptop it’s top of the line.

This computer will handle most games that I said it with no problem Jesus has always been a great company I would definitely recommend this PC to anybody who is a serious gamer

My only complaint is the lack of back lights on the keyboard. Makes gaming in the dark, or typing a task. The brand is the best in my opinion they have done a great job.

This is a really good laptop, at a good price, but it has some minor flaws. First, the screen is bright and crisp, and shows well at all angles. The i7 processor with 12 GB memory is snappy, making multitasking a breeze. You're probably buying it for the 1070 GPU, and it doesn't disappoint. However, the unit does run hot, especially right in the center of the keyboard. Speaking of which, some people will love this keyboard, others ... well, not so much. I fall into the latter category. Finally, while the laptop has a great selection of ports, the placement could be better. All the ports are pushed to the sides, and towards the back of the unit. This leads to situations where cord management can be an issue, especially on the left side where the power supply plugs in. This is the third straight Asus I've had as my primary gaming laptop. This case is slimmer and the laptop lighter than any of them. I'll gladly buy this unit again, but I hope for the next generation they look to address the heat dissipation issues and port placement.

I purchased this item as an open box, but that didn't stop it from being flat out amazing. It handles any game I throw at it at epic level settings with no issues. I switched out the 1tb HDD for a SSD and hook the 1tb back up through the thunderbolt port as needed. Just exactly the powerful notebook I needed.

I use it all the time for gaming, it's great. No complications, fast, easy to use.

This laptop was able to run PUBG on medium settings at a constant 60fps rate. I would say thats not bad! I also use this laptop for video editing (my job) in Adobe Premiere. Runs great on that too. The only thing I wish the computer had was an SSD instead of a HDD at this price.

Laptop has great performance and speed. I use ut everyday to play games.

I would love to give this laptop a 5/5 however after using it for a couple months there are some issues I have with it. First like others say I have had cpu and gpu temps reaching. The upper 90's C which made me adjust the power settings from 100% to 95% just to keep myself from worrying about it (dropped them down to 60-80C Second the track pad is not even close to acceptable. When I'm surfing the web and not gaming I don't use a mouse so it gets frustrating when I'm trying to move the mouse and it just stops on screen for a few seconds. While I'm swiping my finger trying to get it to start moving again.

This laptop is a beast but does have some downfalls that make it the 4 star rating. First the good! This laptop doesn't stop or bottleneck on triple A titles or demanding games. Modded minecraft runs a solid 250 fps average on ultra, PUBG is smooth as butter and Rocket League shines and these are just a couple of dozens that I have played. Screen is crisp to back it up at 75Hz which is plenty! Now the not good but honestly not bad! If you are looking for a business looking laptop well then this is the one for you. It looks just not great, the metal top is nice but the inside deck where your hands rest is plastic and no RGB available keyboard, for the price you would want to see that. The only not good things are all cosmetic. Take my word for it and go look at this laptop because it is nice! And you get a gtx1070 with 8gb of ram on it! That's insane.
