Love the speed. Takes up very little desk space. Perfect addition to my aimesh system.

Consistent performance. I had to purchase my own router because my Spectrum router kept giving me issues. It's been a month and I haven't had a sigle issue since the switch.

I like this size of this router I love the fact it has AFC out the box beginning day one the flagship new one that came out the rapture does not you have to wait for the update which is pretty lame especially since that one is $900

We have a 2 story house, about 1200 square feet on each level. We have always had problems getting a good wifisignal that covered the whole house. We have tried the mesh systems, before we got this Asus router, we had a main router and 2 wifi extenders. There were still dead zones in certain areas of our home as well as a lot of places where the speeds were like 20% of what they should be. I have owned a lot of Asus Rog products in the past, so I was excited to give this a try and see if it could solve our wifi problems forever! Out of the box, this is clearly a Rog product, it has the cool design, lots of square edges as well as a big light up logo on the front that can be customized with different colors and light patterns. Before I go any further, Asus, if you are listening, PLEASE add a brightness control to the front light. Its cool and all, but it is very bright! Yes, there is an option to turn it off completely, but I think being able to dim it would be very beneficial to still be able to keep it on, but not have it be so bright. Other than that, there are some status lights on the front and tons of ports on the back. In our house we have lots of desktop computers for home as well as a couple work from home desktops as well. Then we have the teenager with the gaming rig. We also have tons of security cameras, smart lights and switches, and lots of other devices that we need to connect wirelessly. Getting the router set up was very easy. There is a companion app that you can download on your phone to get it set up and handle all of the settings on the router. On the back you have 2 - 2.5G gaming ports, 7 - 2.5G ports and 1 - 2.5G WAN port for a total of 20 Gbps of Ethernet capacity. So, I would think for just about anyone that would be more than enough ports! I got everything set up, all of our desktops are hard wired and everything else is wireless. I was very excited to see how the wireless would be on this router. It claims up to 3300 square feet of coverage with the 8 internal antennas. I am very happy to say that it indeed covers our entire house without any repeaters or range extenders or anything like that. We have 1G service and there isn’t anywhere in our house that we get less than 500Mbps which we are VERY happy about. Not to mention we now can get wifi on our back deck and front porch which we never really were able to get before. The speeds for both wired and wireless have been amazing. We have had it hooked up for probably about 3 weeks now and haven’t had a single problem with the router or the internet going out or anything like that. Productivity on the desktops have been perfect, and the kids say gaming has been a lot better than it was before due to the increase in speeds. They used to constantly complain that online gaming was almost impossible to do because of the lag and slow speeds, and now that is a thing of the past! I have yet to find any major negatives about this router except for the insanely bright light on the front. It would be nice if it had VLAN capabilities because it would be nice to keep our work computers separate from the rest of the network, but that’s not a total dealbreaker. If you really want to dive into the settings there are tons of customization options like VPN’s, parental controls, as well as security from online threats and router intrusions. I very highly recommend this router to anyone! It has amazing coverage that far exceeds any mesh system or extenders I have ever tried (and I have tried a lot!)

So far the best wifi router/modem you can get for gaming

ASUS BE-18000 ROUTER, I'm a big fan of ASUS routers, this was a big upgrade for me. With its 6G capabilities all I had to do was get a 6G usb antenna for my PC and now my wireless speed has almost doubled!

Has been solid so far! You have to download the app to enable the AFC feature; it uses your phone location to check if it's allowed. One of the few router's that have the function enabled! Has been very stable.

Just don't waste your time. I wrote this comment on 06/20/25. Maybe in the future ASUS can update the firmware and fix the issues, but today it just doesn't work.

Simple concept set up with quality app configuration. Incease speed with stability, beyond expectations. Makes a difference for multiple devices handling heavy workloads. A nova slot of equipment, Recommend it 10 to 10.

Excellent Router. Very easy to set up. You have to upgrade the firmware to the version 3.0.0.6.102_38782 as the first step. Asus interface is full of options and very easy to use. Extremely fast when on 6ghz.

Easy set up, easy app with useful features that aren't behind a subscription service, parental controls

At first i had trouble setting this router up because it didn't let me set it up thought my computer. After downloading the asus app i was finally able to set it up easily

This is a very powerful and fast router. I use this as a mesh node for my main ASUS router. Highly recommend!

Great performance and range even in an area with high network congestion. Latest firmware update fixed most of the issues and runs pretty smooth now.

This router responds time is much better than my old one

I seem to be having a lot of stability issues. It will crash during the day on MLO errors (near as I can tell from the log) even though MLO is turn off. Seems to be a common problem (check message boards). Latest firmware is installed and a reset was done. The crashes, of course, taken down both wireless and wired clients.
