Solid Motherboard

This has been an amazing motherboard. The connections were all there. The instructions were very detailed and the amount of extras you get with this motherboard.
Pros:
Tons of SATA cables
Built in WIFI with antenna (can be buggy, see below)
AURA Sync is amazing
Great Instructions
Great BIOS settings
Great Desktop Fan control
Amazing styling
Holds up my 1080 Strix very well
AIO Pump connections and solid amount of fan ports
Great plug locations to hide cables
Good amount of USB connections
Cons:
- The WiFi can be pretty buggy at times. (I have no Ethernet connections in my room, so WiFi is the only way)
- Antenna is kind of finnicky and hard to find a proper place for it.
- BIGGEST GRIPE: The Mobo does NOT ship with updated BIOS. If you were like me and got this motherboard with a new 9th gen Intel (I got a 9600k) it will not post, I had to borrow a friends i5-8600k to update my bios which was very frustrating. That was my biggest gripe with the Mobo but for the price it still was worth.
- No BIOS flashback (ASUS please put this on Mobos that aren't just the Maximus boards)
Overall: If you can find the new Z390-E for the same price as this board, go with that. Just due to the fact it has updated bios. But I bought this well before I got my 9th gen Intel chip. But if you are trying to save some cash, and don't care about the 9th gen chips this board is solid.

I got this for an 8700k to do some casual overlocking. I ONLY play games on my windows computer and this does a really great job. The UEFI bios is easy to use and there's even a button to overclock to 5GHz with 1 click. The built in bluetooth and WiFI means I was able to connect to my PS4 controllers without any problems and they were recognized right away in Steam. While I'm not a fan of RGB, it does look good and has expansion for additional addressable stripes as well as non addressable Red/Green/Blue LEDS. I was not disappointed with this motherboard and would recommend it for anyone looking for a quality board with great features.

I have to start this off by saying , it’s been 12 years since I built my last pc ( may it Rest In Peace ) ... So it’s time to upgrade my gen 1 i7 computer ! !
Welcome to the future , this MB is a beast ! I had to research what the heck an M.2 was ,and now I will never be without one ever again !
The BIOS is super amazing and easy to navigate, strings I’d never even imagine changing for fear of blowing my new toy into a million little pieces are now a simple click and save ... overclocking , it does that for you ! ! You want to turn off some USB ports , change fans speeds and settings and power modes .. and on and on .. so cool!
So the Pros. Tons and tons of features, super tunable, user friendly, and some RGB if you want it .
( Cons ) need my ram added to the compatibility list please !
Corsair vengeance RGB pro 8gb 3000mhz
I love this product , Asus mb buyer for life ! ! !

The only real issues I've had with this motherboard is the Ethernet/LAN port just stopped connecting. Tried for over a week with different software/driver's/windows installs and cat5/cat6/routers/switches. Popped in a pcie1x Ethernet card and immediately started working. Have read that a ton of people have port issues with this board and VRM heat issues. Would avoid. Though it did allow a 9th gen Intel with a bios flash.

Overall, it's a solid board and looks great. Has all the basic features most would want in a motherboard: SLI/CF support, good VRMs, plentiful usb headers, wifi, bluetooth, RGB led, and multiple M.2 PCIe support with a heatsink one one of the drives.
The only real con with the board is the not-so-amazing load-line calibration. You'll probably have to set a slightly higher voltage in BIOS than you'll actually get under CPU load.

I am receiving points in the ROG Elite Rewards loyalty program for my review, but considering this was purchased months ago, nb.
Though the m.2 drives are in weird locations, I love this board. It was super easy to install, connectors are in great places which made cable management easy, and the RGB is pretty.

My MOBO and CPU were starting to show their age. Looked around for different configurations and decided to purchase this motherboard to replace my old one in a NZXT Phantom 630 case. Bought an i5 8600k CPU and a Corsair hydro H60 cooler to go with it.
This board does not have as many I/O usb slots in the back like my old board but makes up for it for the M.2 slots. Over all working as intended. RGB effects are a nice touch. The bios is easy to navigate. s

Cool rgb lighting on this one (like so jaw drop) good board though with a lot of features for the cost. Bluetooth, fast WiFi, So much I/o. Picked this up with the new intel i7 8700k unlocked. Works great but had to do a lot of jogging with drivers

I purchased this Asus motherboard along with the i7-8700 8th generation CPU. I have used many Asus boards in the past and the ASUS - ROG STRIX Z370-E did not let me down. A solid performer and worth the price I paid.

Needed to upgrade an older mobo, so picked this up to pot with an i7 and new nvidia card. It’s a little larger then I anticipated and was a bit of a struggle to arrange some things in my case, that’s why the 4 star. However this has run fantastically and it was no problem to get everything working.

I needed to return this MB, as it did not support my processor (it was Gen 8 and processor was Gen 9), but ASUS is always a solid product. Ended up buying a ASUS - ROG STRIX Z390-E GAMING (Socket LGA1151) USB 3.1 Gen 1 Intel Motherboard and the outcome was phenomenal.
