Serious overclocking board! Worked on first boot with zero issues. Top notch BIOS with all the bells and whistles. In fact, the bios is a real gem. 5 Ghz is easily attainable out of the box with a stock 9700k. Highly recommend people build this board with a decent AIO water cooling kit and quality memory and not even bother with the hassle of air. 5 stars all the way.

Asus continues to build great products, and this motherboard is no exception. It isn't their top tier motherboard, but it isn't something that you should pass up, based on price alone. For the price, it is great. I have a 9700k, with two Samsung Evo Plus 970 NVMe drives on it and its blistering fast. You won't be disappointed.

I really like this motherboard. installed easy and paired up with my AIO nicely. Manual was very clear and made hooking everything up on my first build very easy. Only complaint is the box has a false bottom that houses a lot of "extras" including m.2 posts and screws. after finding those no other issues to complain of.

It looks great and has a lot of different connectors. You could probably get something around the quality maybe for a little less but nevertheless its a great motherboard. I had the asus z370 plus gaming before the one and it didn't run my 3200mhz memory on default, I would have to raise it in the bios. Not this mobo, they run 3200 out of the box. No need to tweak anything from what I could se.

Not totally necessary but epic for our build. Previous board of dif manufacturer was fail on install. This one didn't disappoint at all, lots of supported features, good manual, lights etc look great. System runs so we'll. Bios update easy etc... Very recommend. Overclock auto almost too easy and super stable.

Just built my first PC and just kinda took a shot in the dark with a motherboard. It’s super easy to use, everything is clearly marked. Just use the instruction booklet and if you’re not much for reading there’s a great YouTube video that uses the COD version of this board that’ll be a great help.

I built my PC roughly 11 years ago. It was time for a new Chip, which required a new board. They had maybe 3 options on the shelf in the store. I chose this one. And it is a decent board. Has all the ports I need, and has a glowing aura of colors that stays lit up even when off, directly on the motherboard. I have no issues as of yet.

I bought this for my husband who wanted to build his own gaming rig. The layout is well designed. Supports 2 m.2 drives and has some cool RGB colors. He was able to tie his case RGB lights into the Asus aura system. If you are building your own gaming PC this motherboard will not do you wrong.

Being at the lower end of Asus' ROG motherboards, it is a bit of a step down from the Maximus Hero series I used last time. But it fit better into my budget this time and is sufficient for what I need. Plan to OC my i7 9700k at some point, and this should be up to the task just fine.

If you are into overclocking, this is definitely the motherboard to use. Are used it with a 9900 K, and it was very easy in the bios to set up and configure for overclocking. The motherboard comes with amazing accessories to make the initial build very easy.

Bought this for a buddy because his board died on him, very nice looking board and it had all the features he was looking for, Sadly he ended up sell his PC. He never noted me on any issues with it, so I'd say it was an overall great MOBO

I have to say, it's working well, but the default settings could have been better. Example: It's own Ethernet is specked to 1GB/s, but default setting limits it to 100MB/s. Sometimes when you change settings and save, says you didn't change anything, but good thing is it does saves the changes :) Performance overall is very good. FYI - using linux on it.

I've used ASUS MBs before. Always had good luck with them. I recently built a new computer. I got an MSI MB. It was dead out of the box. Returned it and got this ASUS MB. Easy to install. Easy to set up the BIOS to load Windows 10. I look to get many years out of this MB.

I purchased this motherboard for my 1st custom-pc build & I have to admit that I'm fairly satisfied with it! (Granted, it may not be the most "feature-rich" motherboard out there, but I'd say it's pretty good for someone who is wanting to build their own custom-pc without going over the top as far as price goes.)

Great board, easy to setup and get running, plenty of expansion slots. Took 1 star off due to the drivers built into the motherboard and auto loading in Windows 10 with some crapware, and the security risk of embedded software on a motherboard. Only a matter of time before a hacker finds away to embed a virus in it.

I'm one week in full use and this motherboard is working great. No problems to report. I was able to easily update the BIOS and I'm using XMP1 to run my DDR4's at the advertised 3200 frequency. It's all good.

ASUS makes some of the best boards but kind fell off and competition has all but caught up. The ASUS Z390 Series is pretty decent with a wide selection to choose from at a reasonable price. My first MB I had to return because it had a bad RAM Slot. BB returned it with no questions asked. After playing with it if you have little to no experience with ASUSs BIOS, be prepared to spend more time fumbling through the non descriptive manual and thrust your time into YouTube for clearer explanations of what each function is. The RGB software to me is garbage as I find the iCue Software more user friendly which renders the ASUS software useless for Corsair. If you go with ThermalTake (TT) and but their controller you will be able to use their software and controls from the motherboard. 1UP for TT. The 2 m.2 slots are a HUGE plus! Make sure you configure the bios correctly to recognizing it or you'll spend an hour or so thinking it's broken. Overall, this is a decent motherboard that will will accept 8th & 9th Gen Processors so you will get plenty of use out of it for years to come.
