I9 Intel chip forced me to upgrade motherboard for this build. Great piece of work at a decent price point. Added a 1090ti cpu some great ram and this gaming rig is future proofed for a few years.

Had a issue with the MSI z690 Carbon Wifi and ram channels not running in dual. Switched over to Asus Rog Strix and I have had zero issues. Great board good look, and a crazy looking m.2 heatsink!

The board seems really nice, but there are a couple of minor quality concerns I've got, plus a major red flag. For the red flag, and I realize this is a noob mistake, make sure you check memory compatibility from the manufacturer. I bought some Corsair DDR5 5600 that is not compatible with the board (which is really surprising to me considering this is the board BestBuy sells - with a BestBuy specific serial - and the memory that bestbuy sells is Corsair....) Also, note that this is a DDR5 board - must be DDR5 Also, note that this board has PCIe 5, for next gen SSD. This is a major bonus that is not totally obvious. That said, i've been having weird system issues with the board. However, I suspect it is ram related given the above. I am working to get new ram, but hard to do right now. As for the quality - there were two places on the board where they put that plastic anti-scratch film on the shiny stuff - except the film wasn't there, but the sticker to remove was. that sticker is very strong, and will peel off the shiny stuff underneath if there isn't any film. I am not an idiot, i promise. So now i am left with sticky residue on parts of the board where i really don't want to be cleaning/scratching. its a minor thing, but very frustrating QC miss. Lastly, if you want to know how i know the serial is best buy specific - its because i used it to get support from Asus support. except that, Asus support told me that because it is a best buy board i've got to get support from Geek Squad..... that is not cool.

This will make any and all games seem effortless. Coupled with I7-12gen, DDR5 RAM, and a 3070GPU this MB is solid as a rock. Dual WIFI and M2 has not been met in any other to date. IMHO

Worth it and works right out the box with my Corsair DDR5. Although, for this price a LCD is needed, and Aura and crate can be way better. Also, two PCIe 5.0 x16 for this price rather than one.

Board NVME SSD slot detection issues

I put the motherboard into my PC, im upgrading from a rog z490 MB. Everything seemed to work well out of box with the new I9 and ddr5 i had to buy to fit this MB. I noticed things started going very very slow one morning, freezing, being able to move my cursor but not being able to click on anything due to the freezing. I checked my task manager to see if i could notice anything and my disk tab was showing it was at 100% usage. I was confused as to why this was happening since the night of my PC was runnjng fine. I was looking through my computer frustrated as to seeing that everything was freezing on me and giving me a “Not Responding” at the top of each and every application i would go on and noticed that none of my NVME SSD’s were being detected. Which explains steam telling me that i had to redownload games, i attempted to reinstall my ssd’s and such to make sure the were jnstalled correctly and when attempting ti reboot my computer i ended up stuck in a loop of automatic repair with nothing being able to help me start up windows due to not discovering the memory that had windows installed on it already. I am planning kn just gettjng rid of my old stock drives and using strictly ssd with my Comouter, This MB was great, I guarantee if you did all the correct driver updates it would be a killer mb to have in your gaming rig but it just wasnt the move for me.

Worked great for 4 months and then all of the sudden my x16 slot is dead. I can only use my GPU on the x8, which is half the bandwidth. To replace it, ASUS wants to charge a $500 hold for a used or refurbished motherboard. I won't be buying another ASUS product again.
