Not at all a good motherboard

Owned for 2 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I don’t know how this has so many 5 star ratings but I had bought this not to long ago and it’s been crashing after like after a month or two and a buddy of mine said he had the same motherboard and the same problems. So take what I said or don’t just felt a honest review on my end was due!!! And if all the others but just me and the buddies didn’t work then I guess that’s some really bad luck but you all have been warned lol

Not worth it

Asus sucks

I took a gamble and lost.

No isp outage, no other reason. Went through the OS and updated bios per manufacturer recommendations. my other computer ran 5 without this happening. looks like a common problem with this board I thought I would be okay but nope.

Asus quality has gone down

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.After about 4 weeks I started getting the dreaded 55 error code and it would not boot into windows with 2 sticks of ddr5 that were on the qvl. Had another 2 sticks that were also on the qvl and the same thing. It will only boot with one stick of ram in the A2 slot. Had the same problem with the Z690 version of this board, although it happened sooner. Asus is charging a lot for this board and the reliability is not there. I am still in the return window because of the holiday extended return policy so this is going back unless Asus can provide some bios settings that solve the problem. I opened a case today.

All ASUS products undergo intensive quality control testing and inspections, this is a random problem. This error code: 55 is usually a memory related issue. To resolve this, please try running the motherboard with one RAM stick at a time in order to determine if both RAM sticks are working properly. Check if motherboard is running with the most currect BIOS version. For the latest BIOS version, please go to: https://rog.asus.com/motherboards/rog-strix/rog-strix-z790-e-gaming-wifi-model/helpdesk_bios/. Also, please try to disconnect any other third-party hardware and load default settings in the BIOS before testing the RAM. If the motherboard works properly without error, we recommend sending the motherboard for further testing. A RMA number is required before sending the motherboard for warranty service. For more information on how to get a RMA number, please go to: https://www.asus.com/us/support/article/818.

Asus ROG Strix Z790-E motherboard.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Replaced an older Asus Maximus V Gene mob with this ROG Z790-E Strix. I really like this MOB. It is faster than my pervious MOB and has undated features etc. I am using the Intel i5 13600K (very fast and a great buy) cpu with 32 gb of Corsair Ventage ram at 5600. Also, ungraded to a Samsung 990 1 tb m.2 SSD along with a Solidigram P41 2 tb m.2 SSD. I am also using an older Intel 350 gb m.2 SSD for M. Reflect Image backups. Best Buy's price was at MSRP while other vendors either were out of stock or were $50-$100 over MSRP. Delivery was fast at 2 days.

DOA

Constant bsods, ran every test to include occt, mem86, cinebench, sfc /scannow, chkdsk /f r/, and verifier since i woukd get random bsods. The verifier ran within two seconds it bsod’d. the loop of bsods crashed the os as well. Its a dogwater board witb terrible ddr5 stability.

Blue-screen-of-death is not always a motherboard related issue, this can be any component(RAM, Hardrive, video card) installed on the motherboard. Also, this can be a software related issue like, driver or OS. Please check if all hardware are compatible with the motherboard and are working properly. Update the OS or drivers if required.

Bad DIMMS
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I want to say that customer service at the yonkers store was by far the best ever and that Destiny at Geek Squad WAS JUST AWESOME she is the best. Now for the board heck no i dont know if it is just boards at Best Buy or ASUS drop the ball on this one but 3 of the 4 DIMMS didnt work got code 55. So my advice would be dont risk it unless you have the product to test to make sure all is working. I love ASUS products and the board does seem to be well built but that is as far as it goes for me.
