Great laptop - get this over the AMD Radeon graphi
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works perfectly, easy to upgrade. I added an extra stick of 16gb ram to make it 32gb, and a TB SSD for additional storage. Ryzen is fine as a CPU, great battery life as a result. The RTX 4060 is the way to go for a budget gaming laptop build. Battery life is a true 7-10 hours depending on how intensely you're using it on Eco mode. The cons are as follows: It does get hot so you need a good laptop cooling pad or it will thermal throttle on full ultimate mode. The laptop also won't do 170hz on both sides when using a thunderbolt dock when you plug directly into the dGPU. The right side port is the dGPU, left side usbc is the iGPU port.

Good computer except .
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this for gaming and event in DC. While the computer runs well enough to support gaming, it starts to over heat in 30-45 min and youll lose access to you keyboard. Which is a horrible event if your in midst of an event showcasing your efforts over the past 4-5 months. So do yourself a favor and buy a cooling pad for this as well. Battery isnt bad unless youre gaming so keep it plugged in.

Awesome and portable powerhouse
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I came from using an Asus TUF for about five years so that set my expectations high when I started shopping. I heard mixed feelings on the Zephyrus, but when I went into the store and compared all the options, couldn't beat the bang for the buck with this awesome, portable, powerhouse. Pros: *Leading performance R9 and RTX 4060 that handles everything I throw at it without slowing down. *The battery life is long enough to keep me going. *Easy to upgrade storage and RAM *Display is sharp and natural with a resolution that makes up for the smaller size. *Chassis is solid, feeling tough but not like cold metal and overall portability. *Keys are tight and strong with adequate spacing in between *Large trackpad that works great but also has Bluetooth on-board for a wireless mouse. *The built-in micro SD card slot is useful Cons: Only two things that would make this device the best it could have been: an ethernet port, which many of the other brands didn't have either for this sized laptop. The only thing I miss from the TUF is the cooling system. Normal use and it's not bad, but once the RTX kicks on with a game, there's a lot of heat being dissipated that was worrisome at first. It does stay cool enough to keep working but I wouldn't run a game while in my lap. Overall, I am glad that I made this purchase and am sure that it will be mine for the next decade or so.

Worth every penny!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve been streaming and gaming almost everyday since 2018. Last year, I began a new career and started working upwards of 70-90 hours a week. My career affords me the downtime to be able to game/sleep/exercise when I’m not busy and I was really missing being able to game while at work 24hrs+ at a time. I have a desktop at home that is couple of generations behind and I had been in the market for a gaming laptop and after weeks of comparing and with this one being on a good sale, I decided to go for it! I am not an expert on computers by any means but as a more than casual user, this has been my experience: Opening up the box is an experience of its own that Asus has clearly put time and thought into. While not overall important, the consideration of the entire experience of the consumer is definitely worth noting. I’ve been using it for work and gaming for about 2 months now and I only have one minor issue and that is with the touchpad. It’s on the larger size comparable to the laptop and I find myself accidentally resting my hand too close to it while gaming and using WASD, causing it to move the screen when I don’t want it to. I’ve adjusted my hand placement slightly and it hasn’t caused much of an issue since. Other than that, the display is gorgeous (it does not come set to 165hz but rather the default of 60hz so make sure you change it)! The laptop automatically switches to ‘Turbo’ mode when it’s plugged into to boost fps and overall gaming quality and goes into silent mode when not plugged in. The fans are pretty loud when it’s in turbo but it definitely works to keep my CPU and GPU cooled! The battery lasts 6 or so hours for me when I’m just doing paperwork/browsing the internet, much less when gaming which is to be expected. I have played games from Disney Dreamlight Valley all the way up to the newest Call of Duty with no fps/screen tear/or lag issues at 120+ frames. Even not on sale this laptop is definitely worth the money and I couldn’t be happier with it!

Great gaming laptop at an affordable price
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This year's G14 is very powerful yet portable. It can pretty much be your main PC with the hardware it came with. The sound and video quality are great. The white color is also great and it doesn't seem to be yellowing at all. Battery life is better than all other Windows gaming laptop I have seen.

A Windows Based Mac-Book Pro Replacement
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This compact gaming PC gives you the form factor of a Mac Book Pro with the performance you'd expect from an ROG product. While this PC is now considered a generation old (2023) it delivers in both build quality and performance. Pairing a new SSD and an additional 16GB of Corsair DDR5 really brings the machine to life. As always, remove Armory Crate and install G-helper for the best performance.

Great specs at an affordable price
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Needed a new laptop and saw the G14 on sale. Very satisfied with my purchase. In fact, I haven’t seen another laptop with these specs at this price point. The QHD screen looks great. Keyboard feels great. Helldivers runs great. Overall a significant upgrade from my previous device. My only complaint is it runs hot, however you can easily disable the turbo boost on the cpu to decrease overall temps by a noticeable amount. Highly recommend this product if you’re in the market for a new gaming laptop.

Fantastic laptop
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My old laptop was nearing 9 years old and needed something new. It's light and portable, and I've been able to game while traveling. Fans get a little loud while gaming, but I usually have a headset on so don't notice it. The screen is crisp and has a great refresh rate. It's not my primary gaming set up and if it was I would have opted for a larger screen; I'll connect to my android tablet when traveling for dual monitors. Battery life is pretty good when web browsing or watching movies/tv. Excellent laptop when it comes to bang for your buck.

Greatest gaming laptop ever
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 (3K OLED, Ryzen 9, RTX 40/50‑series) is one of the most accomplished compact gaming laptops of 2024/25. It strikes a rare balance: Portable power in a sleek chassis Spectacular OLED display Quiet and efficient thermals Impressive audio and I/O It’s perfect for gamers and creators who need high-end visuals on the go, though be mindful of upgradeability limits and thermal comfort.

The Defacto G14 Model
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've always kept an eye out for the Asus G14 series, and this year's is the perfect one. Amazing update in CPU from AMD with the 7940HS and it combos perfectly with Nvidia's 4060. Lots of power in a small package, and if you're willing to tweak things a bit, it stays nice and cool with plenty of power for longer sessions. Great build quality, high end components, easy upgrade path for adding another DIMM of DDR5 RAM or swapping out the NVME. Great Asus software as well.

Light laptop with heavy specs True power
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great laptop an I don't say that often. I've been through my fairshare of other laptops such as Alienware an dell . The zephyrus crushes those other laptops in terms or everything from graphics to processor 165 hz display an lights. Honestly I'm a big gamer an battery life was a no compromise spec I needed in the tools I use when gaming an may I say the zephyrus can put in the hours a just cope with a great deal.

Jack of All Trades Laptop
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fantastic, dare I say the perfect, gaming laptop you can buy within this price range. Has all the specs and features you could get (16 GBs of ram, 1440p screen, 512 GB storage) as well as coming in a thinner body than competitors. Acer laptops in this price range have similar specs and the like, but they’re bulky and heavy, and also quite ugly. This laptop looks nice and performs well, which is everything I could ask for

Does the job nicely and keeps my hands warm
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had this laptop for almost a month now and really like it. Sadly, not a gamer, just a lowly writer. Part of the reason I chose this laptop is because of the keyboard tilting up feature. It's a million times more comfortable for me when I have to spend hours at the keyboard typing away... I do notice it getting pretty hot, but that's a plus for me because my hands are always cold, lol. Helps keep them warm. I have it set to battery saver mode (max 80% battery charge when plugged in) and easily get around 4-5 hours with each charge. Love the matte screen--so much easier on the eyeballs. No complaints aside from setup, which was a pain--but that's Windows. So. Many. Updates. Oh, and during setup, if you log into Windows with the wrong account, you'll never be able to change it. Just system reset and start over. Only negative, for me, are the speakers. They're fine and get the job done, but seem nothing beyond standard/basic laptop speakers. I kinda figured a gaming laptop would have better sound. Maybe with headphones sound quality would be better. There might even be an equalizer or something in the Armory Crate to adjust the sound--I haven't looked too hard because it's not a major priority to me. I got this laptop to replace my SurfacePro (which bit the dust after many years, I think it was a 4, after all) and since the keyboard for the newer models is slightly different--not really sure what it is, just not nearly as comfortable for me--I decided to try something completely different and went with this laptop. The SurfacePro did have an amazing camera and better audio, but again, not really something I need to get my work done. Priority was comfort and this laptop is perfect for that.

2023 model refresh is a go..
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'll keep this short and sweet - this is exactly the 2022 model with a newer Zen4 based CPU and newer 4xxx Nvidia GPU. I know a lot of people have some QC issues with the screen especially but mine came out of the box with a perfect-no-screen-bleed screen. 4 stars for me because it still gets really hot (the entire chassis) under gaming load just like the 2022.. but the portability in this class is hard to beat.

The battery is dead after 8 months
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The battery is dead after 8 months, and I had to replace it since it was a gift for my nephew, who lives outside of the USA. The speed is quite good. But when you use the dedicated NVIDIA GPU it drains more battery. It won't last more than 2 hrs with Dedicated GPU. And with AMD built-in GPU and power saving mode it last 6/7 hrs. For Gaming, the performance is excellent but the temperature reached at 90c with performance mode. With silent mode or power saving mode it comes at 80c to 85c. So Asus needs to improve it's battery life with Dedicated GPU and temperature controlling.

Best laptop in the price range
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the best windows laptop i have used. It has one of the most powerful cpu and gpu in any laptop for almost any task your laptop need to do. The design is unique and beautiful. The touchpad is larger than those in most laptops. The keyboard is smooth and feels like ones that are in MacBook. The sound system and display is better than most laptop i have used but still not comparable to those in MacBook pro. The battery backup is also good but definitely not the best in the market.

||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far it’s pretty good, I been using it to 3D model and watch a bit of clips on YouTube and it holds up with ease. The screen is awesome and the speakers are loud. I like how compact it is as well, it doesn’t take to much space at all which is a win. The RGB keyboard and trackpad feel premium, feels perfectly balanced like all things should be. I’ll try running some games on it, and probably update my review.

Amazing for the Price
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's not perfect, hence the 4 stars. But it's amazing for the price. Spend about $150 more on a new, larger SSD and another 16gb RAM stick and this machine is nearly perfect. Hasn't studdered on anything I've thrown at it. Still gets a little warm, but nowhere near my previous model (2 generations before). Clearly I like these machines as I continue to buy them.

Puny Powerhouse
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've only owned this unit for a couple of weeks, but I also had the 2022, all-AMD model and really enjoyed that one (which has now been passed down to my son). I got this as an Open Box - Good for less than $900 including tax, and it looked brand new, box included and everything. Comparing it to the previous generation, I would say that it has some improvements that are worthwhile, such as a faster refresh rate on the screen, and some of the ports have been updated (HDMI 2.1, USB 4). I got it mostly because of the Nvidia RTX 4060 inside, as I am more of a Team Green kind of guy. As for gaming, yes it gets hot. Not sure what else you should expect in a chassis this small. The heat has to go somewhere, and that somewhere could end up being your lap or your hands, but it does not become unbearable. Ultimately, it was between this and the Legion Slim 5 14", and I stuck with the G14 because it has so much more to offer: screen has G-sync and higher refresh, better GPU, expandable RAM, and smaller chassis. Those mattered more to me than the OLED screen, which is the main draw for the Legion.
