Customers admire the ROG Zephyrus G14's performance, battery life, and screen quality, frequently praising its portability and compact size. Many appreciate the upgradable RAM and the sleek design, although some users note that the device can get warm and the fans can be loud. A few customers also mentioned concerns about the keyboard's reliability and the storage capacity. Overall, the positive feedback on performance and portability outweighs the negative comments regarding heat, fan noise, and storage.

This laptop is an absolute powerhouse. I have an HP Omen Desktop, and a MacBook Air for class, but this laptop is extremely powerful and compact. I used to have a larger gaming laptop and its was too clunky and felt like it was made cheaply. It has room to expand on RAM (up to 40 gb) and I plan to do so. This is a great laptop for Student. The Ryzen 9 runs at about 4.2GHz consistently. Very happy with these specs for just over 1300 after tax.

The laptop perfomance wise is great just have to disable some stock software to improve thermals and battery balance. Had to return the first one as there was some cosmetic scratches on the keyboard thats visible when backlight is on. The 2nd one has some screen bleeding on the botton right so thats also one thing to look for. Quality wise is a hit and miss, other than that everything works perfectly fine

Great portable laptop for gaming even with AAA games. The screen is the best out of all the recent 4060 laptops I have tested (stealth 14, m16, Lenovo slim 5i). It is a bit higher in resolution so it runs the same games at little lower frame rates vs the other laptops listed but the screen is A++. I wish it also had a second m2 slot for expandable memory but it is a 14 in laptop. Also you can feel the heat from this Laptop more than others.

Everything so far has been going great. Battery lasts a considerable long time doing anything but gaming but thats a given. Only downside ive found is the keyboard isnt the best for gaming. I find myself fatfingering keys. Temps for the cpu and gpu arent too bad. I would definitely get a laptop cooler for sure just for the added insurance.

Almost perfect device! Great display and refresh rate, power and portability is incredible considering the size and weight - not Ultrabook level but more than light enough for carrying around without noticing the weight. Looks fantastic, especially in white. Battery life is fine, plenty of options for power management within the software. One issue is that it only has 512gb SSD, which is too little these days, especially for a gaming laptop.

A nice little machine. So far it’s been used for some light gaming and general browsing. Performance in cyberpunk 2077 has been great. The screen looks great aside from some backlight bleed that is pretty noticeable on dark screens. Fans can get a bit loud but that issue can be solved by some tuning in armory crate, or even better, ghelper the less bloated alternative to armory crate.

This is hands down the fastest laptop I've ever owned. Not to mention, it's very good looking too. The white color is super nice and the RGB on the keyboard is amazing. This laptop has the latest generation of Ryzen laptop CPUs (Zen 4) and is super fast. It's called Ryzen 9 7940 on laptops, but you can compare it kind of to a Ryzen 7 7700X if you want to compare it to its Desktop counterpart, being a 8 core 16 threads cpu. It boosts to an amazing 5.2 ghz! It has an AMD integrated GPU, for energy savings, but it also comes with a mobile Nvidia 40 series GPU, a 4060 with 8 GB! This laptop is so powerful gaming wise, that it has replaced my Desktop for the meantime. The GPU is glorious, it supports all of the series 40 from Nvidia features, however, let me tell you, the more impressive one is DLSS 3 with frame generation! Whenever I enable that on games that support it (lots do), the FPS gain I experience are huge. I can game comfortably on the 165hz screen at 1440p no problem, and if there are any dips in fps, the integrated screen supports VRR.
Connectivity wise, it has tons of USB ports and a HDMI 2.1 port, this is super important, because since it has replaced my desktop at home, I connect it to my gaming monitor this way and since its 2.1, it supports the high refresh rates of my monitor at home. At home of course I use a keyboard and mouse, but on the go, the huge trackpad is super nice and very responsive and have not noticed any false inputs at all. The integrated keyboard is nice, has RGB backlight and the keys are good, they are the classic chiclet type, more than enough for on the go. The speakers are good too. I also love there isn't much in terms of "bloatware", I think ASUS has included enough to keep your laptop in shape (I like the software to check if everything is up to date, like drivers and bios) and also the Armoury crate one is great, it helps monitor temps, performance etc. The 14' inch screen is more than enough for gaming on the go and a I can't believe how fast mobile screens have goten, this guy has a 165hz screen, faster than my monitor at home!
Battery life, of course is important, but being a gaming laptop don't expect too much if you're going to be gaming on the go, always carry your charger with you. I was able to squeeze around 3 to 4 hours out of it while light gaming (if not gaming was about double).
In all, if you are looking at a powerful, fast, quiet gaming laptop, that isn't a huge behemoth, this is the one for you. It can even replace your old desktop if you want it to, like it did for me, highly recommend it!

compact computer, the best peroformance you will find for this price, AAA games in ultra over 30 fps all the time, 165hz screen is perfect for shooter games, for me at least is the perfect laptop, especially because i need to move the laptop around the house ( if you have kids you know you will need to move around when they sleeping, playing, etc) battery life is a little bit to short, but it is understandable they need to sacrify something in order to place everything inside other than that i'd say is a 10 out of 10

I actually like this model better than the newer one. Yes the display is better on the 2024 edition but not by that much. This one can be user upgraded with ram. It says it can only go to 32gb of ram but as usual, these companies lie about that. I had mine with 48gb of ram and it ran great. With a simple command prompt any windows laptop will tell you how much much ram it will accept and this one will go up to 64gb's. Of course since Asus soldered on a 16gb ram stick, getting it to 64gb's isn't real easy, but 48gb is more than enough. Plus throw in a fast 4tb nvme m.2 aand this one outperforms the newer model in my opinion. I took away 1 star because the keyboard lighting could use some work. The RGB lighting just interfers with the being able to see the keyboard real well.

Top notch, even for the 4060 model!
I recently bought an Alienware m16 r1 that I returned, and this actually does a better job than that with a 4070 and an i7 13k for VR. The reason? Ryzen 9 7980 kills it! This is especially true when you add another 16 GB ram stick for iGPU performance, and for dGPU, optimizing the Nvidia Control Panel for VR and Gaming. I'm able to do High at 120 FPS with a dedicated router at full speed on Virtual Desktop with the HEVC Codec. I couldn't do that with the Alienware because the i7 was an unoptimized mess of a bottleneck. Not anymore!
This is the best possible PC you can buy for the price, in my opinion. I got mine when it went on sale for 1199! This is a killer machine, and if you want my hot take, the current war between AMD and Nvidia in method optimizations and squeezing as much performance out of a finite graphics card will only make this device better.
Expect Motion Smoothing to soon be a thing for AMD, and expect further optimizations for DLSS with Nvidia. Add a 16 GB RAM Stick, and that's all you need to make this device perfect.
I can't believe I own something like this. I feel so lucky to have got in on a good price. This device is my favorite one out of all of them. It's a solid pick for the price.

This laptop is perfect for people like myself who need portability and want power. The display is beautiful, keyboard is crisp, and the battery life (can be) solid. I also own an Acer Predator helios 16 with a 4080, and i still find myself using this laptop instead.

Be careful not to pack it tightly in a backpack. When I did this, the other items in my backpack pushed the screen against the keyboard, which left scratches on the screen. I have not had this problem with my other laptops, so I think it is a design flaw with this laptop. Seeing the scratches when the screen is black is very annoying.
Other than that, the build quality is great. The metal chassis gives it a premium feel. The screen is bright with vibrant colors. Turning the graphics settings to high in games makes them look amazing but causes the fans to sound like jet engines. It's fine after I put on my noise-cancelling headphones though,

Only issues I have with this is not enough storage and that 16G of Ram doesn't feel enough. Despite that, after a year+ of use, it still runs pretty good and does what I need it to do, although there were times where I felt as though it was running too hot. Was worth getting as my introduction to PC gaming.

Full disclosure: I haven't used this laptop for gaming. That said, I've put it through some heavy usage with video editing and music production and it hasn't struggled in the least bit. Or if it has, I haven't been able to tell.
PROS:
- Looks cool
- Lightweight & compact (for a gaming laptop)
- Semi-customizable keyboard lighting
- Keys are quiet
CONS:
- Nothing so far (after a year of daily use)

This is a good laptop for both school and gaming. Decent thermals for such a small device. The battery life is very comparable for the class it is in. Using the power saving options you can use it for about 6 hours of lighter use before needing charging. The keyboard and screen are great. The trackpad is also good. Speakers aren't good but not bad either, common for most Windows laptops.
The 4060 can do a decent job with most games, you might have to play on lower settings on some games though. I'd suggest upgrading the RAM with a 16 GB RAM stick since there is an open slot inside.
This laptop is just a little more powerful than my desktop which has a Ryzen 5 3600 and a Nvidia 3600 with 16 GB of RAM.
The only reason I am giving this laptop a 4/5 is because the chassis is warped and creeks a bit when you pick it up by the sides. Also, I think the 512GB SSD is a little small for a modern gaming device.
If you can get this device on sale I'd say it is worth it 1250-1300 is a good deal for what you get here. An open box is even cheaper.

Reallly happy with this gaming laptop. Solid material and workmanship and high-end technology. I'm not thrilled with the bright white case, and will add a skin to it. It does run a bit warm, but this is balanced by being one of the lighter gaming laptops available.

It's a great hardware choice. The keys are wonderful with very good travel. The display is as said beautiful and the colors are very vibrant. Coming to the performance you can get the best out of it for games, coding and editing videos. All in all a very wonderful piece of tech where the form factor is perfect to carry around college, office or to any place of your choice.

I am in the process of rebuilding my entire home-office experience and I am upgrading this laptop from the ROG X13 2022 model. Main reason for the upgrade was battery life and screen display.
This was on sale for $1,250 and after testing it out in store, I purchased.
Pros:
+ Very smooth setup. Just had to log into Microsoft account and go through a few updates.
+ Screen is beautiful: Bright, vibrant colors, and sharp resolution.
+ Battery life gets me a full workday without charging for productivity tasks on balanced performance mode. My last laptop would struggle after 2 hours and I basically needed a charger around at all times.
+ Fast and efficient. No bugs, spinning wheels loading, or need to restart.
+ Sturdy and aesthetics are nice. Nice build nothing feels cheap. Love the holographic color on the exterior, and the customizable RGB keyboard. The glass track pad large in size and feels great!
No cons yet, although I wouldn't have spent the full price on any laptop as it is a portable compliment to my desktop. It would be worthwhile to get it on sale if possible, but a beautiful laptop regardless.
