Happy with the purchase
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently purchased this computer for my daughter, who is currently in her second year of civil engineering studies. So far, it has exceeded our expectations in several ways: Portability: The compact size and lightweight make it easy for her to carry in her backpack. Processing Power: The computer boasts impressive processing capabilities, handling engineering software, data analysis, and simulations effortlessly. Gaming and Entertainment: The powerful specs also allow her to enjoy gaming during downtime. Stunning Display: It’s a true highlight. The high-resolution display provides crisp visuals. Upgraded RAM: We decided to boost the RAM to 32 GB, and it was a game-changer. In summary, so far, we’re delighted with this purchase.

Great Performance, Runs Hot
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I sought out a lightly used G14 from 2023 since you can add 1 SO-DIMM to expand memory capacity. I also tried out a 2024 model with soldered memory. Beautiful OLED displays, segment-leading performance, highly recommend uninstalling the Asus software for GHelper. My biggest gripes with the Zephyrus lineup is how hot and loud they run (keyboard gets too hot to the touch) and they're a bit too flashy looking. LEDs on the lid are a bit much. If I didn't want a touchscreen, I'd look for a lightly used 2023 model for under $900.

Very Convenient!
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this in October, have been using it ever since! Sometimes, it has its issues, but they’re easily fixable. I run games like Baldur’s Gate 3 and Overwatch in this and they work absolutely smoothly! For anyone buying this laptop or any other kind of gaming laptop, you should consider getting a laptop stand to deal with the temperatures. Otherwise, this is a really good gaming laptop and very convinient for a college student like me :)

This seems to be the sweet spot
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The 4060 seems to be the sweet spot for the price. The performance is significantly higher than the2022 6700 and similar to 6800 while using less power and not catching fire trying to expel heat. As for 2023, the 4070 has the same vram and only a tad more oomph. Only worth it if on sale and the 4060 isn’t. If you’ve got money and want it to handle demanding games above 1080p for a few more years, the 4080 is where it’s at. If you have unlimited funds, 4090, but I’d rather spend 1/2 the money and just upgrade sooner than pretend I’m gonna hold onto a $3200 g14 for 4-5 years.

Powerful, efficient gaming laptop
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I jumped from years of console gaming to the wonderful world of PC with this laptop. Couldn't be happier with my decision. This little beast is more than capable at running the latest games with no issues at all. It's portable, its powerful, its capable. I couldn't ask for more. Some reviewers have stated that battery life isn't great, that it gets too hot, that fans are loud. Yes, all that is true. But you don't buy a gaming laptop to play a AAA game on high settings for hours running on battery, do your research. These laptops are best used when they are connected to power without fearing to ruin the battery, when using ac adapter the power will bypass battery and go straight to the internals to power. Yes it gets hot, yes the fans spin and make noise, its powerful and small. That's what you get with this laptop. Explore Reddit to see what you should expect.

Works well, but fan noisy and it runs hot
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this for gaming. Display is good, works well for most games and ultra settings (BG3, diablo IV), but fan runs constantly and is pretty noisy. It also runs pretty hot.

A Beast!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love his laptop. It is super fast handled. He handles all games, wonderfully. It is a lower wattage, 4060, but with DLSS and frame generation turned on. It holds up like a champ. It does get a little hot a long play sessions, but as long as the underbody is well ventilated, it should never have any issues. The most demanding James, I will get a little loud, but that is to be expected from laptops. this next part is not a thing against the laptop. It’s self, but more against the company while I love Jesus, and what they’re doing with rock. I’m not a fan of their armory software, and a couple other preloaded junk they put in. However, that’s just my opinion. Some people like armory Creech, and some of the other Jesus products. It’s just not my cup of tea. All in all, I would definitely recommend this laptopto anyone.

Fantastic Upgrade
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I delayed purchasing a laptop for years, pushing my old HP Spectre to the limits. There were many laptops I looked into, including MSI, Lenovo, HP, Microsoft, even Macbooks (not an apple fan). Every time I looked, I kept coming back to some Asus device. The RAM is upgradeable, the storage is replaceable, the screen is bright, good battery, great keyboard and trackpad, very versatile with the GPU turning off in mobile mode. I use this laptop for programming and emulation in university courses and it's been a life saver since getting it. I have a hard time parting with any amount of money, especially over a thousand for a laptop, but this device always fit my needs and eventually won me over. If you want a regular laptop that can do just about anything you could ask and small enough to carry everywhere, this is the one.

Finally a laptop thats not to big and not to small
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bringing performance and smaller form factor is not easy! I think ASUS hit it out of the park with the G14 platform. After owning a 17inch gaming laptop and quickly realizing that it is NOT portable at all. This size definitely fits my needs 100 Percent. Now lets move on to the screen.... It seems like the current gen of 16/10 screens have really stepped up there game. brightness of 500nits great color reproduction, fantastic and a treat to watch content on. Battery life is also great with the current gen of 40XX graphics cards and the ryzen CPU and their low power consumption. One thing I did was Upgrade the 512SSD to a 2tb which is my only complaint.. Still better than Apple they sell a 256gb / 8gb of ram for $1600 LOL

2023 Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 4060 Review
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Honestly, I was expecting a sea of issues as other users have had with this product. So far, it has been amazing to me, and I've been using it for a while now. The screen is one of the best IPS displays on the market, the battery lasts all day on ECO mode, and it handles everything I throw at it! This machine is a total beast!!! I love it >:3 Just make sure you download G-Helper to go with it, it is a way better alternative to Armoury Crate.

Excellent laptop for students and gamers
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The laptop is excellent for almost everything. it has a very good display and good for students as it has a powerful GPU. I also used it for gaming as well it handles pretty well. It works excellent for AI or machine learning tasks as well. The battery is good as well. Compared to the previous gaming laptops I used this has by far the best battery. Overall it's a small beast.

Solid overall
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great looking design with strong performance. However, fan curves are a bit weird out of the box: browsing the web would make the fans turn on and off. Fixable in software so not an issue.

Pretty good for the price
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A little bit of tweeks with G-Helper to help with temperatures and fans decibels, a quick upgrade of the SSD and RAM and it became my favorite laptop by far.

Good all rounder.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Needed to replace my work laptop, bought this so I could play FPS games with my kids without needing to buy a second computer. It’s as advertised, decent performance in a small package. Battery drains fast while gaming, but that’s what you’re gonna get with a smaller computer. For the price ($1000 on sale), seems like a solid deal. Biggest complaint would be the aesthetics, it’s a little gamer-boy-ish, looks a little odd for a middle aged lawyer, but it’s not too bad and I don’t really care. And they made the 2024 model much more adult looking anyway.

ROG Zephyrus for the win!
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Did a lot of research regarding this laptop, which had super high reviews and came highly recommended. I must say, it has lived up to the billing. It's extremely light, has great battery life and the keyboard/trackpad are extremely comfortable and precise to use. I love typing on it. My use for it primarily was to livestream sports and for multi-tasking and productivity/websurfing. It's lighting fast and the screen resolution is out of this world. I'm planning to upgrade the RAM by 16g to bring it to a max of 32g. Also got this on sale at $1,049, which is an absolute steal. Do yourself a favor and get a ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14. It's applications are endless.

Could be greater if Windows stopped interfering
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Windows as an OS just gets in the way. Your usual fare, where you change some settings and Windows Updates changes them back. Or randomly deciding to not come back from sleep. The typical bloat for a gaming laptop, but nothing annoying so I've surprised myself actually by not removing any of it. Spend the first few hours installing updates (OS, software, firmware) and it's all good. Great compact machine that plays what I want. Yes, it can be very loud under heavy load but you should be wearing your favorite headphones while you're enjoying your favorite games. Battery life is adequate, for most of the day for work and YouTube, or about an hour and change for a small game like Tunic.
