Customers are saying

Customers admire the ROG Zephyrus G14's performance, battery life, and screen quality, frequently praising its portability and compact size. Many appreciate the upgradable RAM and the sleek design, although some users note that the device can get warm and the fans can be loud. A few customers also mentioned concerns about the keyboard's reliability and the storage capacity. Overall, the positive feedback on performance and portability outweighs the negative comments regarding heat, fan noise, and storage.

I travel a decent amount. I used to have a Maingear vector pro (intel edition) sadly the battery wasn't anywhere near as good as I wanted. This lasts way more than that laptop and also it is a really good gaming machine. Been extremely happy with the purchase. RAM is on the lower end but it still gets the job done. I will probably upgrade the ram and the storage soon but it is a great machine especially for $1,100 which is the price I bought it for a while ago.

Very solid product for price. Bought the 4060 version, and has run very well. I enjoy the bigger trackpad and 1080p webcam on this model. Like any other laptop, just be careful when handling the internals such as upgrading hard drive or RAM. You don't want to discharge anything. The storage could have been double, but I am not being picky when the discounted price was $1100. Other than that runs very smooth and especially quiet when you undervolt and adjust fan settings.

This laptop is a modern day marvel. The combination of a comptent CPU and surprisingly capable 4060 along with the QHD 165Hz display make for an excellent experience. Coming from a desktop with a 3070, the least i can say is that i am pleasantly surprised, its ultimate and eco mode allow for great gaming/productivity performance while plugged in or great battery for travel along with its awesome software, it doesnt suffice to say that it is good, it truly is beyond excellent for the price.

I was pleasantly surprised by the performance of this computer. It is fast and snappy, can run games and it can hold the chrge for quite some time due to new generation AMD cpu. I tested this piece for backlight bleed, and it was minimal if not noticeable. It is not too heavy on the ports, but this is expected with the chassis of this size and for my type of work it’s more than plenty. If you can catch it on sale, it becomes even a bigger value purchase. I would definitely recommend.

This laptop has been a workhorse for me. I don’t do much gaming, but at the price point on sale, you couldn’t find much better than this for general/heavy computing tasks. I needed something more robust for some virtualization and rendering projects and the Ryzen 9/4060 combo has been great. The laptop itself is gorgeous and the keyboard and trackpad are fantastic. The speakers are solid, hinges feel sturdy, screen is beautiful, and the form factor is great for every day/on the go use. The only complaints I have are that the RGB lighting is uneven and not very bright (not really an issue as I don’t use it much) and the laptop must regularly be grounded. The touchpad is great but gets VERY finicky if static electricity builds up (makes car ride and couch usage a bit of a pain at times). All in all, if you can get it on sale, this is a phenomenal machine for the money and I am very happy with my purchase.

I was looking for something i could both use for gaming (primarily overwatch 2) while at home and on trips, without annoying my partner for lugging around an ugly embarrassing gaming rig. This thing is lightweight and sleek. It seems to easily stay under 80C without cranking the fan too hard. Powerful enough for everything, just seems great all around after a month of use.

It's a great computer. Light weight and plays Baldur's Gate 3 effortlessly. The issue is with the keyboard and trackpad. Keyboard randomly turns off and track pad sometimes looses sensitivity despite updating drivers and resets. I'm hoping it's just a bad batch

I highly recommend replacing the stock asus armory crate software that comes with this laptopwith G-Helper. It gives you much more control over many aspects of the pc such as fan curves, different performance modes, and battery charge limits. It's also more lightweight, which should help extend battery life. For me, it's a must have if you're thinking of buying an asus g-series laptop such as this one.

It does everything I need it to do and exceeds what I expected. Good battery life considering the specs. I can run almost every game I play at max graphics, with some in the high 90s and most going over 120. I'm very happy with this purchase and would strongly recommend it to anyone looking for a good price and performance for high-end laptops. The screen gets very bright and looks great. It gets a bit noisy, but all gaming laptops do. There are lots of cool details in the design of this laptop.

I've had this laptop for over 2 months now and I have to say I'm very pleased with my purchase. I bought it during a sale making that much more viable. I use this laptop for intense gaming along with college work. I wanted a laptop powerful enough to run programs such as multisim and C++ with fast performance and no issues. This laptop excels at everything besides storage space. I do recommend saving up for a M.2 replacement of at least 2TBs that way you have room for games on top of documents. If you don't just be prepared to do a long swapping process of cloning the SSD with all the files and OS. If you don't there's alternate options like a portable SSD that Asus also sells that you just plug into the type C port which is what I plan on doing in the future. Other than that this laptop is capable of running high end games and doing any other work you may need done. Also I want to point out the disappointing battery life. I feel as if it last maybe 2 hours at most while gaming and 3 without gaming. I do have my presets to use the most battery at all times though since I don't like using the integrated graphics as it causes issues with g-force panel while gaming. I can also say the build quality feels very premium for what you're paying for. Not to heavy and not to light with a full metal structure.

Best portable laptop for gaming and doing school work. The sleek design is what won me over except for the fact that animation gimmick that flicker on the monitor cover is a feature that is missing and I was slightly bummed out that such feature is not present on the laptop I purchased. Loved the laptop but I still felt deceived and made a mockery by asus. I rather give more money to company that advertise their product factually than a penny to a deceiver.

Honestly, the value you get for an open box model of this is off the charts. Already upgraded RAM and Storage for cheap and this thing is a beast. I use it mostly for photo editing, which can be RAM and GPU intensive depending on the task. Also some light gaming when I'm out of town.

I was in the market for a new 14 inch laptop and this G14 caught my eyes. The sale it was on was very much worth is and for 1,314. This thing has performed super well overall. Wile plugged in it gets a little loud(fan noise) when you get to a demanding game and the keyboard can get warm(not uncomfortable to me cause my hands are always cold). But overally just a beast and one of the best 14 inch laptops I’ve every touched.

This is a great laptop - awesome build, quality and performance and you can usually get it at a steep discount. That said, performance management out of the box is poor. I had throttling and fan performance issues even playing 10 year old games. Ditch Armory Crate and download GHelper and youll be mich better off. Wait to get it on sale ((i got it at $1299) and at that point its wortj the money.

In 2021, I had purchased an older version of this laptop with the Ryzen 7 instead. That laptop has held up through games and daily scrolling consistently. This laptop provides the same excellent quality with better performance and specs. Overall an excellent choice, sturdy, great build quality, and lasts.

Performance seems to be pretty good. Gets a bit hot after running games for a while but that's kind of expected. Battery life is also decent considering it has a 4060; can last about 8 hours if not doing anything intensive. The only major complaint I have is that there is a bit of backlight bleed. However, if you're not working in a dark environment, it isn't too noticeable.

Super good for gaming. Id get an extra 16gb stick for 32gb of ram, got a corsair vengeance 16gb 4800mhz stick for 45$. Got rid of the little bit of Asus program bloat and installed G-helper instead of using asus armory, much better and optimized.
