Many appreciate the upgradable RAM and the sleek design, although some users note that the device can get warm and the fans can be loud. Pretty Decent Laptop
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Performance seems to be pretty good. Gets a bit hot after running games for a while but that's kind of expected. Battery life is also decent considering it has a 4060; can last about 8 hours if not doing anything intensive. The only major complaint I have is that there is a bit of backlight bleed. However, if you're not working in a dark environment, it isn't too noticeable.

Loved it except….
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best portable laptop for gaming and doing school work. The sleek design is what won me over except for the fact that animation gimmick that flicker on the monitor cover is a feature that is missing and I was slightly bummed out that such feature is not present on the laptop I purchased. Loved the laptop but I still felt deceived and made a mockery by asus. I rather give more money to company that advertise their product factually than a penny to a deceiver.

A (heart) song to my ASUS - ROG Zephyrus G14 14”
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.OK, I'm not a hardcore gamer being the Legacy (pre-Windows) Boomer that I am. But, I do have my FPS addictions which include Battlefield. Oh yes, the legacy processing consuming game when mentioned I can see in the body language of the Tweener that I've asked about a gaming laptop goes "OMG, just buy an Xbox for the price and get out of my strip-mall storefront." But, I needed something to justify my conversion from a 5 year old desktop to a newer desktop which meant business applications as well. So, in my search for a solution I found this GEM which has exceeded my expectations. Imagine my spouse's excitement when I was able to run Brit Box on our hotel's WIFI when we couldn't really get our phones to work with it. Way to go ASUS! AKA "Happy Anniversery". So, how many boxes can I check off on my new ASUS? Speed, responsiveness, connectivity, enjoyment, on and on? Yes to everything!! (Heart) my new ASUS ROG GA402XV (oh, and screw you Intel). :)

Buy this one, not the 2024 version
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Better gaming performance than 2024 version, all-white design, expandable memory (not all soldered down), almost half the price… this is a no-brainer and one of the best gaming laptops you can buy right now. Definitely one of the best values when its on sale and/or open box.

Best Gaming Laptop She's Ever Owned.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this for my Daughter, who is an avid gamer and she absolutely loves it. Graphics, speed and sound are all top notch; bright, crisp with zero lag on gameplay. Battery life is much better than expected for others in this class. She says it's the best laptop she ever owned. If you or the person you are buying this for, we highly recommend this gamer.

Solid value to performance Gaming Laptop
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great balanced value gaming laptop, can run the games I play flawlessly on the go. My only gripe is the battery life is not near what is advertised. But fine for my use case of this machine. Solid build quality t this price point. Def upgrade the RAM, there is an open slot to double the ram. Otherwise great compact gaming laptop. Bought mine as an "openbox" and saved some cash. Box was clearly used, but the laptop looked as good as new.

Great Laptop
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love my laptop. No real issues too. Battery isn't a big issue. Haven't upgraded a single thing but I plan to buy a new wifi card. I was having issues with wifi before, it kept disconnecting but I didn't connect it to the wifi card or knew its been mention here on many occasions. It wasn't a big enough issue because it wasn't happening so often but now I might as well upgrade it since I got it for fairly cheap. I want to get more RAM and a bigger SSD.

Awesome piece of tech
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop is amazing from the nice design to the hardware. Construction of this laptop is solid and robust. Fast and smooth operations. Perfect for gaming and daily use. Although the one I bought had a 4060 gpu it still handled everything like a champ. Screen was prestine and able to handle outdoor usage with ease. Best budget laptop with all the bells and whistles.

Nice
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great gaming laptop. Decent enough with the 4060 being only slightly below the performance of a desktop 4060. Runs AAA fps games like cod and overwatch in 2k. Definitely get a laptop cooling pad and YouTube how to adjust the fans to the precise marks they need to be or else this laptop out the box will have overheating issues.

MacBook Convert
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As a lifelong MacBook owner and lover - it was between this and an M2 MBA - design is a significant benchmark for me. Its performance and capabilities then easily far outweigh that of the fruit company. I wanted a sleek, slim, light gaming powerhouse and I believe I have found my lukewarm porridge. Ridiculously pleased with this laptop. A couple things of note after two months of use: There is some bleed in the bottom corners that I noticed while playing Phasmophobia in a pitch dark room. I hope that's not indicative of other G14s. As a very casual gamer, it's not a deal breaker but it's not great. Battery is what it is - if you're getting work done, I'd say average is around 5 hours. Gaming is significantly less but you know this. The fan is a bit louder than I expected. Also not a deal breaker by any means, but is typically whirring even with casual use/media streaming. So why a 5/5? The specs are incredible in a beautifully designed, compact machine. "Everything is amazing and nobody is happy." I'm quite pleased, all things considered.

Best out there
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Did lots of research. The QC issues from last years mode made me hesitantw but seems Asus worked out the kinks. Runs hot but nothing crazyZ beautiful screen, very light weight and portable for gaming laptop. Blazing fast. Needs a ram and ssd upgrade but can do both for $150? Love the look as well. Havent done extensive gaming but solid 4060 should future proof this for a but. Silent mode for emails etc is quiet silent. Happy with my purchase.

Excellent battery life & performance
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very lightweight and LONG battery life for a gaming laptop. I love being able to tune how much wattage it's consuming. The only slight issue is when I do a restart, sometimes it tries to flash a new bios, and I could never figure out how to fix this. I just ignore it and it boots to windows, so its slightly annoying.

Excellent laptop for productivity and gaming
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop has been running in excellent performance for the two or three months that I've had it now and I have no complaints. It does not get too warm and maintains in performance no matter how lengthy the gaming or editing session I put it to endure through. Overall outstanding performance and I would buy this laptop again.

Asus Rog Zephyrus G14 (2023)
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Runs great. Game on your couch if you want to. Great battery for a gaming on a laptop. I immediately upgraded to 32gb and a 2TB Samsung ssd. Can play anything I've thrown at it so far. Purchased online and picked up in store. Would recommend get a cooling mat for it just to be on the safe side when gaming etc, but even without its not much to worry about. All around great gaming laptop.

If you can get it for $1000 don’t hesitate.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Absolute beast of a machine. For right at $1000 it was near a steal. Made even better for about $160 more to add a 32 ram stick and upgrade to a 2TB WD850x SSD. I’ve owned 12-18 inch laptops over the years. And I feel the 14 inch is great. It splits the difference between portable and comfortable to use.

Great Value and Hitting Stride with G14 Line
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For some background, I have owned 2 previous models of the g14. The first one was the Ryzen 7 model with a 1650 GPU. At the time it was a sweet spot for the power vs thermals on that chassis and I loved it. I eventually upgraded to last years models with the Ryzen 9 and 6700 GPU. I ended up reselling that model because it just never ran correct for me in the tasks I used it for. Now giving this series of ASUS laptops another shot. I also got this at a slight discounted price which helps! I absolutely love the balance of this thing! Sips power when I don't need it and rips when I need it to. I really appreciate that ASUS went back to NVIDIA GPUs this year. I think the market just has more support for these in the games and tasks I want to do. I also LOVE that there is now 16 gb RAM soldered to board (vs the 8 previously). I don't love that it is soldered but at least now I can easily add 16 gb to the open slot and have 32 gb total vs 24 gb previously. I also appreciate the amount of port options. It is not perfect but has everything I need and more. No need to travel with dongles! I highly recomend this years model to those who are interested. Be on the lookout for a small discount as I do see them pop up often on BestBuy. Great trackpad, great build, great keyboard, and I got lucky with a really nice screen with little backlight bleed. This is the best portability and usability I have ever experience in a gaming laptop.
