Great laptop
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great laptop. It has 8gb vram kn the 4060. Which is great. I am able to play Alan wake 2 on very high setting. Was easy to upgrade the ram and ssd also. Works great for gaming, tons of ports 2 usb-c, 2 usb A, mirco sd and hdmi out. Very powerful and will last a while.

Great Laptop
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop has been great so far. It is very quick, all of my games run and look great. I haven't had any issues with it getting too hot even under fairly heavy use. I bought this on a sale and feel it was a great value for what I paid.

A great gaming laptop!
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this laptop! I knew when I picked it up I would like it but since I bought it back in August I started using it more than my main pc setup. It’s very quick and plays pretty much any game in high settings very well. I would buy it again for sure

Best laptop ive owned.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Genuinely, going to come off as a generic, and company/brand riding review, but ive had multiple “gaming laptops” and i can say that as far as it goes, the g14 is the best one ive owned. Great display, great battery. Sold my macbook and couldnt be happier.

Best 14” gaming laptop you can buy for the price
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Came in perfect condition, performs flawlessly, there was weird screen glitching but it went away after driver updates. Excellent battery life, super bright sharp screen, smooth high refresh rate screen. CPU is fantastic with great power and efficiency, GPU genuinely surprised me. Really don’t understand why everyone is hating on the 4060 as a graphics card. I’ve always tried to stay away from Nvidia graphics cards because they just went for more and more power each iteration without really considering efficiency and now it’s competitive with AMD with better performance to boot. Was not expecting such good battery life from this little monster. Plus when Best Buy has sales on asus laptops they chop off like $300-600 off brand new and it makes their used laptops that much cheaper. I got this thing for basically $1300 when it’s $1600 new ($1750 or so including tax). I don’t know if I’d pay the full retail price for this but for $1300 it’s a steal. Really can’t get better performance for cost in a small form factor. Will see how long I hold onto this considering I like to upgrade when I get good deals.

Small powerhouse
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I moved from an Alienware m15 to this because i wanted something more portable that wouldn’t compromise on power. This checked all those boxes and the screen is beautiful. One thing that is a bit of a problem is the noise when under full load but I have headphone that help me with that.

Overall good but the warranty policy is what?
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop spec is really good: from CPU, dGPU, DDR5 ram, very nice monitor, sound, 3x USB 3.2 Gen2 ports, 1x USB 4.0 port, HDMI 2.1 port etc. I can not complain much about it. BUT there is one thing I just do not understand: as a owner of the laptop, I can NOT register my device at ASUS website. ASUS website even tells you that for warranty contact Best Buy since that it was sold by BB. I think this is kind of ridiculous. I am a legitimate owner and I can not register my property? It has been registered by BB? Come on, I paid for it, okay? It is also interesting that a BB customer service representative told me that I can directly contact ASUS for warranty... This is contrary to what ASUS claims over their website okay? Whom should I believe in? Again, this is awesome laptop based on its configuration and material used; I hope that I do not need to bother to use warranty so soon; I still have some optimism about this not-so-cheap product. Keep my fingers crossed.

Powerful Compact Laptop
|Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Display has great refresh rate. The Zephyrus will run anything with no problems. The monitor can go far back enough that it's flat which can be useful. 14 inches is a little smaller but that's the point of this, to be more compact.

Great laptop, but not for long gaming sessions.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.ROG Zephyrus G14 is overall a great laptop. The built quality is top notch, and the screen is amazing. Just absolutely superb when it comes to daily browsing, streaming , and doing regular white collar work. The laptop performs flawlessly in those roles in silent mode. However, when it comes to gaming, again depending on your gaming preferences like all laptops it gets very hot, even the keyboard. I've installed and played Atomic Heart FPS on "atomic" settings, and when the fans are kicking in it's like you are setting next to a jet engine. Yes, they are loud. I wouldn't recommend gaming laptop at all for intensive games and for long (over an hour) gaming sessions. A special note in regards to Armoury-Crate software. It's amazing, very intuitive and easy to configure for your needs and preferences.

Spicy little guy
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Amazing little powerhouse that handles everything I throw at it. Diablo 4, SoT, Guild Wars 2, the list goes on. Threw in an extra 16GB RAM and changed the nvme to 2TB. Perfection. It does run a bit warm, but you can change to gHelper to add custom fan curves.

Buy on sale or not at all
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.*I would not buy this at it's normal price point. It was on sale for 999 when I purchased* I bought this for light gaming and work when not home, but it will get hot quickly under different power settings out of the box. Look up guides on google and you can find ways to keep temps under control and your fingers will thank you. Love the size but battery life is fairly weak. For my uses it needs to be charged after 1-2 hours of use. If you are really committed to buying a laptop for gaming, this could work for you IF you don't try pushing for max settings and don't mind experimenting. Expansion of memory and storage is also simple. Just check the Asus product page and you can find a guide to follow.

More of a High-end Office Laptop
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop is fast, runs Windows 11 well and the hardware is really nice. I've used it for almost two weeks now and I don't have many reasons to return it back, but there are a few issues. First, I'll start with the main positives. I like the way the keyboard feels. It's a soft and quiet touch which allows a very satisfying typing experience. My cat was walking across my keyboard and when I picked her up, she ripped off one of the keys with her claws, but I was able to reattach the key no problem. In other words, the keyboard feels great, and the quality of the keys are a worthy match for my cat. The trackpad feels silky and smooth. Clicking down on stuff feels nice, and it's a very soft, buttery feeling dragging my finger over the pad. Opening up the laptop is nice and feels almost watery. The build quality overall is very outstanding, and ASUS did a fantastic job. However, there are always going to be cons. I'd first like to say that switching between the integrated graphics and the 4060 graphics card automatically is a feature I found more annoying than helpful. It causes more time between switching to different programs, rather than it being instant. I ended up switching the mode to GPU only. Sometimes the laptop will just freeze. No rhyme or reason, nothing not even the mouse pointer would be responsive, it would just freeze. Earlier today my laptop randomly restarted itself for no reason. No explanation as to why or warning, it just restarted. Sometimes applications will close on their own, and the prime example is Apex Legends. You can argue that's the game's issue, but where I've had similar bugs across using all the applications regardless, I suspect it's also affecting Apex. In all honestly, aside from the fancy lights and the high refresh rate screen, this feels more like an overkill excuse of an office laptop rather than a high-end gaming laptop, and it's unfortunate. I'm currently financing this device, so I hope over time with all the updates I'll install that it'll improve. Until then I give it a 3 out of 5 (or 6.5 out of 10, but that wasn't an option.)

Packs a Punch
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Small and powerful, perfect if you plan on gaming on the go. However if you're more productive id recommend the bugger m16, your eyes will thank you. Especially if you're multitasking. Careful though as Asus laptops do have some QC issues. ( backlight bleed, fan issues, etc. )

Good portable 4060 laptop!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good lightweight 14" portable gaming laptop. I have the 4060 variant, which supposedly has better cooling compared to last year's model. I uninstalled the Asus bloatware and Armoury Crate and am using GHelper to control my settings. I undervolted the CPU and overclocked the GPU memory to get a little more out of it and hopefully it has been managing the heat better (haven't really been checking). Trackpad is good, 165 Hz display is great (old Thinkpad X1 was only a 4K LED 60 Hz display). Battery life is great when you use the right settings. Only had for about a week so can't speak to longevity. Primary use Intel i7-13700KF CPU/RTX 3070Ti on my main PC tower so I can't really compare the laptop AMD Ryzen 9, as I haven't done anything major on this laptop yet. If I wanted a good gaming laptop rig, I would have gotten a 4080 model (4070 seems to not be a great value this year).

18 months later...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop plays all my favorite games without a problem and the small form factor is perfect for travel. If you want a great gaming laptop without all the bulk, this is the one I highly recommend. My only issue is battery life, even in eco mode.

Good and bad
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.10 being the best Screen: 9 Keyboard: 9 Build : 10 (Heavy but love the texture of the hand rests, no fingerprint magnet. Don't like the shiny metal parts of the laptop because that can be easily scratched while traveling with it) Speakers: 2 Thermals: 4 (Not cool during light tastes and using discrete graphics. Very hot during gaming) Battery life: 7 Fan noise: 7 The thermals and speakers are a big turn off for this purchase. Would at least like to have the laptop be able to keep itself cool when working on Microsoft word, but the speakers are a MUST. Do not want to have to wear headphones all the time.

Great Laptop
|Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Laptop worked very well from day 1. Only thing was in the future if you wanted to upgrade the RAM, only one stick can be upgraded, which is a bummer. Other than that, fans not too loud, performance is good, and screen looks great.

Great mobile workstation alternative!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed to upgrade my old Thinkpad E14 to handle some grad school statistical analyses. I was worried a gaming laptop would be unsuitable, but so far the Zephyrus has been a pretty solid replacement. The form factor is compact, the styling is not too ostentatious. The performance is a solid 30% improvement in my 4-core logistic regressions. I bought a model with a dedicated GPU for light LLM work (later). Biggest compromises from a business laptop are noise (it's loud) and battery life. The battery life hasn't been a problem so far, but it's noticeably less long-lasting than even my old Thinkpad. Crossing my fingers that it's going to be as reliable / durable as the workhorse it replaced -- but so far, it's been a fantastic upgrade.

Love this thing!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Everything about it says it's one of the best size performance values out there. Great screen, great processor and GPU, upgradable ram, and USB4 for future upgradable workstation graphics. We use these for 3D modeling and it's very fast for that.
