Many appreciate the upgradable RAM and the sleek design, although some users note that the device can get warm and the fans can be loud. A few customers also mentioned concerns about the keyboard's reliability and the storage capacity. Overall, the positive feedback on performance and portability outweighs the negative comments regarding heat, fan noise, and storage.

Can’t go wrong
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love this laptop!! So far I can play any game I want with upper level settings. Don’t expect much ray tracing, but if you upgrade the ram, it’s an excellent machine!!!

I love my G14
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great computer. I like the 14 inch size and the fact that the screen will rotate to 180 degrees. The battery life is pretty good around 5 -6 hours from 80% to 30%. However, I use it for engineering classes not gaming. I am sure gaming would drain the battery quicker. I would definitely buy it again.

everything is great but the keyboard
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.computer is better than my desktop that I can play any game on other than the memory but the keyboard has issues. The space bar only works on the left side and sometimes the keyboard doesn't accept any input but fixes after a restart.

Wow! What a little charmer...
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this laptop on sale for $999. That is an absolute steal for this computer. It crunches through everything I throw at it without hesitation. I can play everything I've tried at ultra settings and get a consistent 60-120 fps. I love that it is on the smaller side (didn't really want a 16" or 17". The screen looks amazing. I didn't think I was going to like the white color very much from the pictures, but in person it looks really nice. I did upgrade the storage and RAM before I booted it up. I added a 16GB DDR5 4800 stick for a total of 32GB and a 2TB SSD to replace the 512GB. I found these upgrades to be necessary (especially the storage) rather than just nice-to-haves. And for that reason, I wouldn't pay the $1,599 MSRP. But if you can get it for $999 (plus the cost of upgrades - which cost me about $180 total), it is a bargain and a half.

Great overall
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a gaming laptop so don’t expect the best gaming experience. It does a great laptop and does play game pretty well. I personally use it for work purposes as I found it for 50% off. WAIT FOR IT TO HIT SALE. Don’t pay $1600 for it. It has a better display than my custom gaming desktop I have

Amazing Portabliity/Performance
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After about a year of considering this I finally jumped on a $600 discount for this 4060 ROG and so far I am impressed. Was a bit concerned about upgradeability, but turned out to be really easy -- a 2TB Samsung 990 Pro replaced the original 512 NVME drive, and a 32 GB Vengeance Corsair brought me up to 48 GB RAM, though I am unsure how much of the addition is dual channel -- all of this has really speeded things up. Going from an ancient 2008 Dell to this has changed my world. ASUS includes the My ASUS app and Armor Crate for doing all sorts of tweaking and so far I am loving this. The laptop is driving my Dell display with no problem, and a 1.5 TB microSD provides some extra storage. I really like the looks of the 2023 Zephyrus overthe 2024 redesign so have no regrets there. As for battery life, it is what it is -- I do see a 6 hour figure when using ECO modes but that does reduce depending on what I am doing. All in all, hard to beat the $600 deep discount for the 4060. A 4070 would be nice but this meets my needs entirely as I am not a gamer.

Excellent laptop even in 2024
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was on the lookout for a daily-use machine for a while, and when this went on sale I jumped at the opportunity. Pros: very fast processor, capable GPU, just as fast as the 2024 model. HDMI direct to external monitor has very low latency. Vapor chamber cooling is impressive. Cons: I'm spoiled by Macbooks I use for work, so the display is only "good", and the inability to click at the top of the trackpad is annoying. I'm not sure if any Windows machines can do this. The keyboard backlight is lacking, especially on the white model. Other: USB4, at least on this laptop, doesn't have full Thunderbolt 3/4 spec. I was unable to get my 4k display working at the end of 2 daisy-chained TB3 devices. My previous G14 with TB3 on an intel chip worked great. It also only supports Windows 11+ Overall happy with the laptop. I use it with external peripherals 99% of the time so the display and trackpad aren't a priority. I used my previous Zephyrus M15 for many years, so longevity is promising. Big thanks to the authors of G-Helper as well, which allows fine-tuning of cpu and gpu usage.

Pretty Decent Laptop
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had this laptop for about a week now, and so far i dont have any major complaints. Seems to run even AAA games such as Starfield pretty decently. Occasionally gets slightly warm, but never dangerously hot. Looks amd feels nice. I got ot for the $999 sale price, amd id say thats a decent value. Overall very impressed.

Powerful laptop at a good pricepoint
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very happy with this laptop. The upgrades over the previous generation (larger touchpad, slightly larger screen) are welcome. Enough power to play the games I've throw at it already (FFXIV, Baldur's Gate 3). Hard drive is on the small side, but upgradeable. Same for the RAM.

overall review and issues.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far its been good. A lot of people say the armory crate is bloatware but it's honestly a necessity to control your cpu/gpu performance. Silent mode extends the battery life for hours and if your gaming on performance it's wonderful but battery life will only last like 2 hours. Very easy to insert more ram and swap storage. No idea on max storage but unlike ram I don't think you can over spec. The speakers a very clear for a laptop. The camera is great in good light and meh in bad light. There is a known issue though with this computer. Typically there's an issue with either the bios not being able to update or the motherboard failing. Idk how often it happens but I had the bios issue and instead of paying bestbuy $200 to fix the bios and test the hard-drive I just returned it amd bought it again. So far no issues and I've really enjoyed this laptop. The 14" display was a downsize from my previous 15.5 inch but I think it's still plenty of screen.

Goood
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is a very pretty laptop. The keyboard is very nice and the monitor looks great. For the price it was a good deal. The battery life is amazing for every day tasks I can go around 3 days of use on one charge. It can be finicky turning it on and off but I think that is just a windows thing.

Sleak and Solid
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This thing rips. First gaming PC, bought it to play starfield and edit photos and it does both of those things extremely well. Its also extremely easy to work on, with the back coming off easily for RAM and SSD upgrades. Read somebody elses review who has a clue about computers for the details. Otherwise it really is a great deal.

||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was my first ever windows based laptop that i purchased after sticking with Mac os for almost 8 years now. This laptop just blew me away by it's power. I exported a huge video file of 10bit for a timeline of 10 minutes in less than 3 minutes. My old macbook took more than 30 minutes. Ofcourse my macbook pro is a older generation. You'll be very happy with purchase of this.

Nice little laptop
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got it with a heavy discount, pretty darn good for the money to be honest. I was coming from a MacBook Air and the size is pretty comparable, I believe the screen is better too because of the 165 refresh rate. Also the battery is quite good for a gaming laptop. Quite a nice little powerhouse, haven't had any issues.

Awesome but with one flaw...
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.By all counts this could be an amazing laptop. It's small, lightweight, great screen, fast, looks great but with one flaw. We bought this as a gaming laptop for my son, which is what it's designed for. At first he had major issues with overheating and loud fans. That was one of the two main issues. Asus then had an update which totally fixed that issue - it was great! You could hardly hear the fans running after that, and it was running very cool. But unfortunately, the second issue it was having with stuttering while playing certain games did not go away. Sadly, we had to return it since gaming was the main use for the laptop. My son loved this laptop, though. If the stuttering is something you can live with, you'll love this laptop. It has all the other checkmarks.
