Many appreciate the upgradable RAM and the sleek design, although some users note that the device can get warm and the fans can be loud. check your open box products very carefully!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am disappointed with this purchase. I bought the laptop during my vacation in the US and didn't have time to thoroughly inspect its condition after picking it up. I purchased it as an open box excellent product, trusting that Best Buy's Geek Squad accurately evaluates their items. However, it turns out I received a product with a replaced SSD that reports 7766 hours of work and is an older PCIe 3.0 version. Additionally, there is a bad pixel that is only visible on a black screen, which I didn't notice earlier. Unfortunately, as I am no longer in the US, Best Buy is unwilling to assist me. They are only offering the option of a return with no possibility of partial refunds or alternative solutions. This lack of support is disappointing given the discrepancy between the advertised condition and the actual state of the laptop.

Best all rounder laptop, could be slightly cheaper
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great all rounder laptop that can do basically anything you throw at it. Gives amazing battery life when using it for browsing or documents. They have increased the price by $100 for this class of specs for every generation, so it is a great deal when Best Buy offers a couple hundred bucks off.

BEAST
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this laptop and the levono legion slim i5. Both had similar specs except I was able to upgrade the RAM in the g14 which was a huge advantage. Returned the lenovo even though it had an OLED display.

Great Laptop for 3D CAD Design
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The G14 best buy model with the Ryzen 9 7940HS is an outstanding option for anyone looking for a rather sleek powerhouse. I personally bought this laptop for college, as I will be majoring in mechanical engineering and need something powerful to handle complex 3D modeling. The G14 has the best battery life of any gaming laptop I have tested. The mobile 4060 is a great sweet-spot of performance and price. I haven't even mentioned the display yet. Beautiful panel, 165HZ, GSYNC, checks all the boxes for ANY user. I am knocking off one star for the following: This is my 3rd G14 unit after some annoying but necessary exchanges. Unit 1: dysfunctional trackpad Unit 2: Horrible trackpad "rattle" Unit 3: Less bad trackpad rattle, found a manual fix for this

A tiny but powerful laptop for a tiny guy
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very nice for an affordable price! The thing I like the most is the compact size. Easy to carry everywhere and you know it’s carrying a very powerful cpu and gpu. If anything consider upgrading the ram. And if you want also the ssd.

An excellent laptop (if you upgrade it!)
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I want to start by saying that you should plan ahead of time to upgrade both the RAM and the SSD of the laptop before purchasing. Out of the box, it is a great gaming laptop for the price, even better if you catch it on sale (and it goes on sale quite often! I also recommend getting it Open Box (Excellent) if it is available). It looks, feels, and performs very well, and I highly recommend it. It's smooth and quick and small. It does run hot, so only use it with a table, riser, or lapdesk of some sort; it can run 95°C during the most intense gaming/working sessions (but don't worry, the AMD inside is designed to be able to handle those temps). However, to get the most out of this little powerhouse, you should definitely upgrade the SSD at least; 512 GB is really not enough if you're planning on gaming, so I'd recommend grabbing at least a two terabyte drive, such as the Samsung 990 pro (which is what I upgraded to).

Good upgradability and balanced performance.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought an open box excellent and I had to exchange the computer 2 times because the first one had some internal issues. The second computer was not very clean so I had to replace that. but after exchanging two times, I got this gem. This computer is very fast, it has good upgradability. I upgraded this from 16gb to 32 gb and 512gb to 2tb. Now this laptop is very reliable. I use it for my work, games and watching movies. The tone of monitor looks good and the sound system is banging as well. Coming from Hp pavilion 2017, I gotta say this is huge upgrade for me and I am thankful for being able to get this gem.

Good laptop for the price. I recommend
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall, it is a good computer for the price. It does run a bit hot during long gaming sessions. Also the worst location for the power plug I've seen on a laptop.

It's genuinely good.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far, I've had only two things I don't like about this laptop and that's battery life and a software bug in the Asus armor crate program. If you want to buy this, make sure to turn off the power saving feature for when your screen goes dark in armor crate (and windows to be extra safe) or it will crash some programs with loading screens or outright restart the computer. Once I figured that out I genuinely began to enjoy this laptop. Would get that last star if the battery lasted more than a few hours, but it's a gaming laptop so I'm willing to work around that for the extra processing power. Would recommend so long as you know what to look out for and are willing to accept the power limitations.

Good laptop but has its own issues
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Definitely a decent laptop, specs were fair for the price and it did everything I needed it to, aside from the not as great as expected battery life from a 14" laptop, which was one of the reasons I purchased it. The biggest issue is a 2-part thing: First, ASUS's software isn't great, replace it with g-helper if you can if you want to resolve a lot of potential issues (which you really shouldn't have to do on a new laptop), and secondly, a somewhat common issue I only found out about recently had begun occuring where the keyboard would just disconnect and would only work after waiting for ~5 minutes or restarting the computer, which is beyond frustrating. I tried checking all the forums and trying different settings in the ADUS software/BIOS (with the laptop and Windows both being up-to-date), and decided my time would be better spent with a newer laptop anyways, which hopefully wouldn't have this issue. I still like ASUS and would still suggest them, but would recommend against this laptop unless there is a screaming deal or am easy solution is found.

Excellent Quality for Gaming on the go
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very compact and sturdy. Performed as advertised. Surprisingly very light for the kind of processing power it brings to the table. Unfortunately, the design is not for me. Ended up going with Asus Zenbook Pro (UX6404).

Great All-Around Laptop
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this laptop. I have been using it primarily for programming with some casual gaming, and it runs great. The fans don't rev up unless they're in a heavy workload, but they still don't get nearly as loud as other laptops I've used recently.
