The Speakers started making weird noise after 4 days of purchase.

Purchased this laptop due to a work emergency. I don’t know a ton about tech and computer specs, but it runs everything I need for my work and personal life super well! Frame rate holds up and it runs everything I use super smooth. Additionally, I love the size of it for traveling. Two things to note: it runs super hot if you do too much on it, but still runs everything smoothly. And the fans can be quite nosy - there are settings to turn them down, but this reduces performance. Neither is really an issue for me, but this may be different depending on what your preferences are and how you plan to use your laptop.

I have owned several laptops throughout the years and there are several factors that make stand out above the rest. This smaller form factor packs incredible power with stunning graphics and is incredibly fast. Starting with a powerful CPU, the system boasts 16 GB of DDR5 memory and a PCI 500 GB hard drive. Both the hard drive and memory are easily upgraded by simply removing the bottom screws. ASUS goes all out on their gaming laptops. The display is simply stunning and when combined with a very powerful video card, there is no hesitation, video flaws, buffering or staggering when playing demanding video games. I have hooked this up to an external 4K television with an HDMI cable and the display on the external monitor is also very good. The keyboard is also very nice and has a great feel to it. Rather than the boring white backlit keys, it has some colorful options making the computer even more pleasing to view. There are a few different backlight modes to customize how it looks. The trackpad is responsive and functions well with a smooth surface and easy clicking. The overall looks of the laptop are very appealing with a very classy white casing. The resolution, speed and power of this gaming laptop make it a great choice for gaming and general laptop purposes. There are plenty of USB ports for adding peripherals and an external monitor. While laptop speakers are small, these actually sound very good and are fairly loud considering their size.

This laptop is amazing and was able to run basically everything I threw at it. I was able to run warzone at medium-high settings at 165fps with dlss on. I’ve heard many complants that the laptop gets extremely hot to the point when it overheats and shuts down. For me, no such thing has happened. The highest temperature it has ever reached was 93C and I never had it overheat once. The battery could be better and from 80% to 20% it lasts you about 2.5 hours. I bought this monster when it was $600 off at $999. Overall a great purchase and I definitely recommend it as a long term laptop. Also make sure to upgrade the ssd and ram.

All the performance at half the size. Amazing battery life. HDR IPS display. Takes a little fine tuning to get the maximum out of it, but that's how any PC/laptop is. Definitely a recommended buy to anyone who wants a device they can carry around all day and then plug in at your desk for smooth gameplay. My only problem is that my spacebar wasn't seated right so it's a lot clickier than the other keys, make sure your model doesn't have any defects. Don't count on ASUS' support to get you through any problems that can't be solved by that one relative that's good with computers.

OVERALL: I have setup and used the ASUS Zephyrus G14 GA402XV daily for about a week now and I am still vacillating between stating this a compact high-powered work laptop that has excellent super powers gaming capabilities thrown in. Or is this an Ultraportable gaming laptop that is also suitable for daily work computing, video editing, and/or content creation. Bottom line, just flip a coin because it appears to do all things equally well, and in a less than 4 pounds package. To date it handled everything I have thrown at it and just laughs at me flashing “is that’s all you got?” PROS: Appearance, verges on a work of art. Hardware, top shelf CPU, middle shelf GPU, with a beautify brightly capable IPS display. Responsive “chicklet” keyboard with RGB options coupled with an oversized touch pad. Battery life; I can’t complain here with averaging 8 hours of work / daily computing use. I can get the advertised “up to 10 hours”, and maybe more if I turn features off and setup for Power Efficiency modes, but there’s no fun with that; to quote Maverick, “I feel the need, the need for speed”. (Yeah, much less battery life with gaming, but I use the power brick for gaming.) Fast charging, option to setup 80% for extended overall battery life. Chassis construction is Aluminum and Magnesium alloy and of course plastic, that presents an upscale overall quality feel to it. Better than expected SSD NVMe drive, a WD SN740 Gen4x4, (up to 5k MB/s Sequential Reads, 4k MB/s Sequential Writes, and 300 TBW endurance). Easily removable bottom to access/replace/upgrade the NVMe drive, add more memory, and/or replace a dying battery down the road. CONS: No dedicated “Print Screen” key, can’t find a hot-key workaround and I have to use the 2-step Snippet Tool. (Ahhh, poor baby…) Now I know others mention the small 512GB NVMe drive, and no AniMe Matrix lights, but hey ASUS markets many other Zephyrus models with those features; buy what you want. SPECS: I never like to rehash published specs, you can read those in other reviews. Better yet, I recommend you go directly to the ASUS website for current specs. Note that BB does has some minor errors, examples: Front Facing Camera Video Resolution is not 720p, it’s a 1080P FHD IR Camera for Windows Hello. Or Memory 16GB (8GB + 8GB); but mine has one 16GB module soldered onto the mother board that will facilitate adding another 16GB for actual dual-channel memory. BOTTOM LINE: The “El Camino of Laptops” metaphor: Is this a truck trying to be a car? Or is this a car trying to be a truck? Answer, it’s pretty much both. Will not replace a powerful gaming platform desktop computer with dual-screens with all the other bells and whistles, but then again you can easily take this laptop on the road in the front seat of your El Camino…

it's a gaming laptop for one game only and that's ROBLOX anything else this thing heats up like a pressure washer engine i remember i had this everything good except one thing that ruined it all it heats up terribly bad this i recommend this gaming laptop for people who play for 20 minutes this thing while i was playing gta v would heat up in less than 40 minutes and it would start blinking a white screen while i was playing and the game would glitch a little bit because it got that hot honestly if they made this laptop a little bigger this would function alot differently i do not understand the positive reviews but im guessing no one has ever used it to play games i recommend this to people who uses it for work and anything other than gaming it will work Like a brand new Super car good battery life and awesome screen display very beautiful but it works like a strong washer machine in anything else BUT GAMING* because if you use this for gaming it will Die on you in 2 years because it gets way to hot and the games starting blinking this white screen so i returned it so in my opinion make this same one but bigger

If you know about gaming and specs required on new and recent games, you will absolutely agree and love this laptop. The CPU is one of the most powerful as well as GPU. Performance aside (which is top of the top) it also looks and feels slicker and more eye-catching than most other laptops out there. It is relatively lightweight. The one small downside (if you can even call it that) the screen is a little small, but that is easily fixed by connecting an external monitor with great frame rates. Overall 9/10

With its igpu and dgpu toggle options this laptop has great battery life when not gaming. Also highly recommend ghelper over armory crate for users that don't want to spend time sorting through all the extra pages of things to get to some of your performance settings. It's minalmalistic and has all the settings and info pop up in a small window. Laptop can run just about anything with its dgpu (4060) at 1080p at max settings
