Big power for on the go
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you like gaming on the go or need a smaller size laptop with desktop power the ASUS Zephyrus may be what youre looking for. With the Ryzen AI 9 running demanding games and design programs and normal everything in between has been seamless and fast. And with its RTX 5070 ti the graphics are stunning. Internal 1tb SSD and 31gb of ram give this little guy plenty of space for even some of the largest games. And makes it run smooth. RGB backlit key board adds some fun nighttime effects along with the slash lighting on the back of the monitor. These features are fully customizable as well. There is plenty of venting and fans packed in the sleak silver case, when the fan is in turbo mode it gets pretty loud. During long gaming sessions the computer gets pretty hot as well so having something to set it on is recommended. Overall for a small compact gaming computer this one checks all the boxes in my opinion. As an owner of multiple other ASUS gaming computers this one did not disappoint. I would definitely recommend this as a great on the go gaming computer. Only reason Im giving it a 4 star rating is, it gets hot while playing. Much hotter than other laptops I own. But other than the heat I love the Zephyus.

Massive Upgrade from Older Laptop
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Asus 2025 Review I’ve been a happy Asus ROG Zephyrus gamer for a bit. This thing has been able to play everything I’ve thrown at it on Steam. However, the upcoming release of Doom: The Dark Ages made me take a hard look at the specs of my 2021 version, and made the choice to upgrade to the 2025 option an easy choice. After some time with the 2025 version, and looking closely at the specs and gaming performance, it’s clear that the 2025 version is the better choice for me as a gamer. Before I get into the hardware, I have to talk about the physical design. This thing is beautiful. It doesn’t have the clunky, beefy feel of some gaming laptops. It feels like an ultrabook or something very high end. The trackpad feels like it’s made of glass and is super responsive. A big difference between the 2021 version I upgraded from to this is that the 2025 version also includes an integrated webcam. This means I can take advantage of Windows Hello and essentially use my face to authenticate. It’s not as fool proof as other versions of biometric authentication, it has a hard time recognizing me when I wear glasses or a hat, for example. But it’s still a welcome change to not have to get an extra webcam. Now, in terms of the guts between these machines, the 2021 model came equipped with a Ryzen 9 5900HS processor and a RTX 3060 GPU, which were, and still are, solid. No issues and no notes. But with titles now demanding more processing, and GPU power, it meant going from playing games at recommended settings to minimum here sooner rather than later. In contrast, the 2025 version is packed with beefier hardware in a more streamlined package. The Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 CPU and a RTX 5070 GPU offer a crazy leap in terms of what you can throw at the machine, easily handling games like Doom: Eternal, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, or Devil May Cry 5 at high or ultra settings with features like ray tracing fully enabled. But, the reason I was most looking forward to this new beauty was the screen! The new OLED display is a game-changer, both literally and figuratively. OLEDs are the best screen choice to deliver sharp contrast, true black, and wider colors. It’s sharper and supports HDR, although, I do usually tend to leave the Windows HDR setting off and then use the Armoury Crate app to tweak the display’s colors to my liking. While the jump from 16GB to 32GB of faster RAM was nice, I did read around the web that the RAM is soldered in, meaning you’re locked into the RAM you get at purchase. The 2021 version had both RAM and SSD upgradability in its favor. I haven’t opened this thing up to confirm, so do your own research here if RAM upgradability is a deal breaker for you. Speaking of the SSD, Asus upgraded to a PCIe 4.0 SSD, which means shorter load times and smoother gameplay. It’s also runs more efficiently and with better cooling, running quieter and cooler than the 2021 version. Now, that doesn’t mean this thing can run a modern AAA title at whisper quiet noise. When I switched it to Turbo mode in Armoury Crate, the fans were so loud that it sounded like the laptop was going to take off like a helicopter. Silent mode is just that, silent, and Performance mode had some audible white noise from the fans. But, if you’re going with Turbo, then you’re going to want headphones. In terms of IO ports, the 2025 version boasts: - 1 HDMI 2.1 output - 1 combo 3.5mm Headphone / microphone jack - MicroSD Card Reader - 2 USB A 3.2 ports - 1 USB C 3.2 port with DisplayPort, power - 1 USB C 4 port with DisplayPort, Power, and 40 GB data - 1 dedicated power port, supports 200W I should also say that when I plugged in a USB-C power cord connected to a brick that pumps out 100W, I get a warning on the screen that I’m using a “Slow Charger”, but I also like having only 1 cable to connect, and I have a hub that does everything over one cable. I also like the new AI features, including Windows Copilot, which open up new possibilities for background task management without tanking performance. I’m not extremely hip into letting the computer, or AI in general take the wheel, but the capabilities are nice to tinker around with. In terms of cars, it’d be like chasing a stick shift over an automatic transmission. Copilot’s cool and all, but it wasn’t a factor in me deciding to pick this thing up. It was all about the screen, the processing power, and the SSD. I love this machine - it hits all the right notes for me in terms of power, performance, design, and capabilities.

Incredible Laptop
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop performs incredibly well in both gaming and programming. It even outperforms my desktop Ryzen 7700 in the few Java projects I have worked on. The display looks fantastic as well, definitely an upgrade from my ancient 1080p monitor. The laptop can get pretty loud when gaming, but in exchange stays impressively cool to the touch. Turning on silent mode keeps the fans at completely reasonable levels if you absolutely need quiet performance. Be aware that you may have to debloat windows (or switch to linux) to get full performance out of this laptop. Copilot took up almost 8gb of my RAM when I first booted up te laptop. Overall, I highly recommend this laptop for its impressively powerful components packed into a thin and portable chassis.

A Laptop That Is Worth Gaming On
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There are some gaming laptops that allow you to have fun and play games such as CoD, FortNite, and others. And they work fine for that. You can rack up pretty good stats and will have fun. And then there are other gaming laptops which take it to a whole other level. The ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 Gaming laptop takes it to a new level. From the time you take it out of the box, you know there is something special with this system. The aesthetics are remarkable. The outside has a sleek LED lit stripe going across the outside which has a bit of a cool factor. Then when you open it up and turn the system on, the mutli-color backlit keyboard comes to life, it just makes you want to turn it off and turn it on again to see the keyboard light up. This is the best-looking gaming computer I have had. Boot up with the computer is very fast. With a 1TB SSD, you have a fast, responsive drive with a decent amount of memory. You won’t be able to load every game you own if you have a big library, but you will be able to put a lot on here. So download what you want and get started. As my games were downloading, I did connect my peripherals. There is one HDMI port so you can add a monitor to your system. There are also 2 USB-A and 2 USB-C ports. This allowed me to connect to another keyboard and mouse. I also used one of the ports to connect a DS 5 to it (you can use BT for this if you prefer). The one glaring omission is there is no Ethernet port on this system. If you want to run wired (and I usually do), you will need an adapter which allows you to do this. That being said, for the purposes of trin out the system, I just ran Wi-Fi and had zero problems do this. So now down to game play. The ASUS ROG G14 runs amazingly with all the games I tried. I ran CoD, FortNite, and Rocket League with no difficulty. The 3K video at 120 FPS was silky smooth on the OLED screen. I was amazed how responsive the base keyboard was as well. There is no noticeable lag in the keyboard commands. With all of that though, the image is a little small on a 14-inch screen. I like playing on a bigger screen, but it is doable. Some people don’t mind playing these games on a Switch with a much smaller screen, so this may not be an issue for many. When hooked up to a 27-inch 4K monitor, all I can say is wow. This really brought out how nice the system was overall. The NVIDIA GeForce Graphics RTX 5070 Ti performed amazingly. In the end, I really love the ASUS – ROG Zephyrus G14 Gaming Laptop. While I would prefer to have a built-in Ethernet connection and bigger screen, the rest of the system more than makes up for it. From the beautiful aesthetics to the remarkable speakers to the smooth picture on a 3K, OLED screen, gameplay on the go is fun. You don’t have to miss out on the fun when on travel. And with this system weighing less than 3.5 pounds, it is easy to take with you. IF you are in the market for a gaming laptop, I highly recommend this one.

ASUS produces a BEAST of a laptop with this!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. At first I was skeptical about how good this computer was going to be. It had a very small form factor as it is a 14" computer, how powerful could it be? WELL. Let me tell you. Setting it up is probably the biggest pain your going to encounter with this computer. After that you will revel in all it's majesty. Slick and speedy, this computer flies through every day tasks like they were nothing. But of course that's not why people buy a ROG gaming laptop now do they? The combination of the flashy Ryzen AI 9 HX chip and the powerful RTX 5070 Ti make this probably one of the most well rounded gaming laptops on the market. I'm not supposed to make comparisons but its hard not to mention two things when talking about the 5070 Ti compared to the older 40xx series graphics chips and those are these: 1) it's really hard to tell the difference in visual performance between the two BUT 2) the BIggest difference comes when you talk about efficiency, as the 5070 ran Call of Duty Zombies for 2 1/2 hours straight with the highest settings at a whopping 10 degrees Celsius cooler than the 40xx models all other things being equal. Not only that but the GPU clocked lower as well meaning this puppy wasn't even breaking a sweat! So its biggest advantage is energy efficiency, which is not obviously its only perk. ASUS brings with it it's own customization suite so you can not only monitor all these stats for yourself (which mesmerizes me) but you can customize the look of your laptop as well from the wallpaper to the lit slash on the outer shell of the top adding some pizzaz for those watching you own your rivals at the coffee shop. If i had to find one negative thing to say about it, it would probably be that the fans are a little loud when its running at max, but nothing out of the ordinary for high end gaming laptops, some might say that they're still quieter than most. but it sure doesn't deter me from glowing about this absolute Wolverine of a laptop (it's small, mighty, and it shreds!) I will completely be recommending this to my friends!

ROG hits the mark with this laptop
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop will always never cease to amaze me. I had the other older version which is bigger too and that laptop was peak. The design, the power, the form factor, the screen. It was all perfection. This one is no different. It feels like it has the design and simplicity of a Macbook so it looks very professional but it packs a better performance under the hood. The color of this laptop is probably one of the biggest highlights of it. I had the gray one before but the whitish silver look on this just screams elegance. The slash lighting is very cool imo, but if you don't like it, you can easily turn it off using the laptop's settings with its own ASUS ROG app. The keyboard works well but I do find that it "caps" out when you press several keys down and I find that kinda disappointing especially for playing games. The graphics with this CPU are amazing though. The graphics card is fantastic because it finally has 12GB VRAM and it can pretty much run any competitive game with ease. Playing Cyberpunk 2077 on this looks great and very smooth as well. The 12GB VRAM really helps with running these heftier games smoothly. I have no doubt that this will be able to play GTA 6 in the future. The FPS and the beautiful 3K OLED 120Hz screen really complement one another. The form factor is amazing because you can really carry this around anywhere when you travel because it is small and light. The best part is that it's still a very powerful laptop at that. The speakers are actually not bad at all with this laptop either. It sounds fresh but I do think it can be a little louder but it's enough for whatever you need it to be.

This is a MACHINE!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.ASUS has done it again. This laptop is a machine! The styling and sleek casing are very appealing. It has plenty of ports and is lightweight. The screen bezel is very slim and doesn't take away from the display at all. After setting it up, I installed two games on it, Cyberpunk 2077 and Forza. These games looked phenomenal. The OLED display really makes the images come to life. It has such detailed colors. The response time is great. No artifacts or shadow when there's motion. So, Cyberpunk 2077 played very well. I got an average of 87 frames per second, slow of 56 fps and a high of 101 fps. This was a whole new experience compared to my old laptop. Forza was awesome. I got 126 frames per second,a low of 109 fps and a high of 141fps. Both games were set to ultra settings. These games are very demanding and I played for hours. This machine stayed very cool. It never got too hot and it never had any drop in performance. I added a gaming mouse and a gaming headset and it feels like the ultimate gaming machine. Great job ASUS!

Amazing Gaming Machine!!!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So I received my ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 14" 3K OLED 120Hz Gaming Laptop about a week ago and have been putting it through its paces. Now over the last few years I've come across a few laptops that called themselves gaming laptops and they were so-so. Sometimes they'd overheat to the point where they'd shutdown until they cooled off. So when this 14" 3K OLED gaming laptop with 120Hz came along, I knew I had to snag one. First off, ASUS continues to shine in the design category in my book. This laptop comes in a very sleek and clean form factor. From the lightbar on the top lid to the illuminated RGB keyboard, this laptop is presented in a very smooth way. Kudos to the design team. And this silvery platinum white color is amazing. On the top lid as stated before is a lightbar that can be tweaked to your liking via the Armoury Crate app once you get it up and running. The left side of the laptop features the power port, HDMI port, USB-C, and a USB-A port as well as a headphone jack. The right side features an additional USB-C port, and additional USB-A port, and a microSD card slot. After completing the initial setup, I loaded up one of my go-to racing games and was amazed how well it handled the game. The graphics were very impressive and smooth, with the sound quality having an equally richness to it that was simply amazing. That's thanks to all of the specs packed into this beast: from the AMD Ryzen AAI 9 HX processor to the 32GB Ram and 1 TB hard drive and the 5070 Ti Nvidia RTX graphics card. Ive been using this almost non-stop and can't find anything about it that I don't like. Like its amazing for gaming and just as good when I stop to get some work done. As with other ASUS gaming desktops/laptops Armoury Crate is also included on this beast, which allows you to tweak your system to your hearts content (within reason). Now I know some may not like Armoury Crate and I used to be in that boat but I think its come a long way. Could there be improvements sure, but it's gotten better over the years. All in all I love this gaming laptop and you can't go wrong with it.

|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Okay this ones going to be a tiny bit brutal for me being an ASUS fan this item is said to be a gaming laptop to which I have only put one game on it just to see how it handled which it did okay once I found the hidden feature card the graphic the setting to change it to the gforce graphic gpu which by the way handles the game well. There is a major difference in the screen it's crisp and clear from what it shows as for the size I don't now how to even start other than come right out of the gate and say it the screen size is to small for gaming on it but hey it is what it is and I really hate to say anything bad about ASUS but it needs to be said. Weight wise this laptop is very lite in weight when it comes to that which is both good hand bad to a point and by that I feel that ASUUS should go back to the Drawing board for this one as it heats fast due to not having the clearance under the fans or fan for the air flow it could and needs to have taller pads on it to raise it so the hot air can flow out also it could use a tiny bit larger fan to keep it cooled. I really think it's a semi good laptop because of this but that's the reason for 3 stars on the major things the one thing that really irks me on this one and it a software issue is the fact of when you set the task bar to be hidden that setting will not stay even when you restart or shut down. this is one time that I will not recommend that anyone should get as the overheating issue could start a fire if left on to long

Just like 2024's but slightly faster.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent machine, beautiful just like 2024's model, same premium design. The only I reason i purchased this one is because I gave my son the 4070 version and decided to go with the 5070ti. If you need a powerful gaming laptop with portability, then i highly recommend purchasing this one.

Little Beast
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s a great computer, coming from a Mac I needed it for college to run some specific programs. It does what it is supposed to and is a computing beast. However, when doing those intense things it runs hot and the fans are noisy compared to my Mac. Really excellent build quality on par with my Mac and superior to the other windows based machines I’ve used.

Good product
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good product, good fit and finish, overall very well made. Decent performance. Some hiccups as always the case with windows. The audio driver was broken and had to be reinstalled. Sometimes it doesn’t auto switch back to integrated graphics when on battery power. There is some unknown issue that I still haven’t figured out that causes it to randomly restart when I’m not using.
