Small Lightweight POWERFUL the AMD 5080 combo is best for my intended use. This guy is small enough to throw in a small backpack and powerful enough to use instead of my I9 and 4080 desktop.

It has a really nice design and build quality is excellent. Gaming on the 14 inch display is a little small, but is plenty for productivity and daily tasks. Used it with a 4k gamintor as well, the new 50 series graphics card worked very well. If you can swing the premium price tag, I don't think you'll regret it.

While this laptop cannot hit the same power levels as other laptops with the same GPU it makes up for in sheer quality and compactness. No other Windows laptop on the market has better sound and the display is stunning

15% faster than 5070 ti, contradicting to many online reviews, which suggests no gain.
a bit quiet than 5070 ti, can be due to individiual machine variance.

Lots of power, but... zero linux support. The implementation of their Intel Optimus GFX switching causes continual failure when attempting to boot any OS that isn't Win11.
No Calyx, no Mint, no Cachy, no Bazzite, nothing.
Was hoping to have a 5080 laptop ready for SteamOS but ASUS dropped the ball here.

As someone who’s been gaming on the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G16 over the past year, I was eager to get my hands on its smaller sibling, the 14-inch Zephyrus G14. While the G16 impressed me with its balance of power and portability, the new G14 takes that formula further with next-gen hardware, most notably the newer NVIDIA GPU, and an even more compact design. Here’s my hands-on review of the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 from an existing G16 owner looking for peak performance in a more travel-friendly package.
The Zephyrus G14, with its upscale aluminum build, retains the professional aesthetic of its predecessor but in a considerably smaller footprint. Weighing just 3.46 lbs and measuring 0.63 in thin, it’s significantly lighter and sleeker than the G16, making it the lightest ROG laptop. The platinum white finish and precision-machined edges maintain the premium feel. If you’re always on the move, the G14’s size and weight make it a better choice.
Stepping down to 14 inches doesn’t mean stepping back in visual quality. The G14’s 3K (2880 × 1800) OLED ROG Nebula Display delivers stunningly vibrant colors, infinite black levels, and a silky 120 Hz refresh rate with 0.2 ms response times ideal for fast-paced gaming and smooth content creation workflows. The 16:10 aspect ratio gives you extra vertical real estate for coding or productivity apps, and support for Dolby Vision HDR enhances movies and games with greater dynamic range.
Under the hood, the G14 is powered by an AMD Ryzen™ AI 9 HX 370 processor—12 cores, 24 threads, built on “Zen 5” architecture—and the brand-new NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 Laptop GPU, complete with AI accelerators for on-chip upscaling and AI-driven tasks. This powerful combination outpaces my G16’s RTX 4070 configuration, delivering up to 44% faster multitasking in Cinebench, unleashing the potential for high-performance tasks. Memory stays at a generous 32 GB LPDDR5X, and storage is a roomy 2 TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD, ensuring near-instant boot and load times. Whether loading massive game worlds or juggling dozens of browser tabs, the G14 never breaks a sweat.
ASUS employs an advanced ROG Intelligent Cooling system with liquid metal, Tri-Fan Technology, 2nd-Gen Arc Flow Fans, and a vapor-chamber heat spreader to manage such power efficiently. In gaming sessions exceeding an hour, the G14 maintains comfortable surface temperatures and elevated clock speeds without aggressive fan noise, providing reassurance of efficient heat management. The audio quality also sees a significant upgrade, with new woofers pumping out more volume and deeper bass to 100 Hz, all wrapped in a Dolby Atmos profile for immersive spatial sound.
To conclude, the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 is a compelling evolution of the G-series: it condenses flagship performance into a marvelously light, compact design. As a G16 owner, I appreciate the jump in raw power and AI capabilities and the huge portability boost. While it commands a higher price, the G14 delivers a premium package for gamers and creators who refuse to compromise performance or mobility, especially if half-inch gains in thickness and a full pound of weight savings matter to you.

This one is a beast, you can play anything you want at top high resolution using nvidia gpu and when you want to some serious work you have the options from where to choose: use nvidia gpu or amd AI cpu with integrated APU
Over all you you have the power of an gaming/AI laptop in the size of a tablet.
