As someone who’s been gaming on the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G16 over the past year, I was eager to get my hands on its smaller sibling, the 14-inch Zephyrus G14. While the G16 impressed me with its balance of power and portability, the new G14 takes that formula further with next-gen hardware, most notably the newer NVIDIA GPU, and an even more compact design. Here’s my hands-on review of the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 from an existing G16 owner looking for peak performance in a more travel-friendly package. The Zephyrus G14, with its upscale aluminum build, retains the professional aesthetic of its predecessor but in a considerably smaller footprint. Weighing just 3.46 lbs and measuring 0.63 in thin, it’s significantly lighter and sleeker than the G16, making it the lightest ROG laptop. The platinum white finish and precision-machined edges maintain the premium feel. If you’re always on the move, the G14’s size and weight make it a better choice. Stepping down to 14 inches doesn’t mean stepping back in visual quality. The G14’s 3K (2880 × 1800) OLED ROG Nebula Display delivers stunningly vibrant colors, infinite black levels, and a silky 120 Hz refresh rate with 0.2 ms response times ideal for fast-paced gaming and smooth content creation workflows. The 16:10 aspect ratio gives you extra vertical real estate for coding or productivity apps, and support for Dolby Vision HDR enhances movies and games with greater dynamic range. Under the hood, the G14 is powered by an AMD Ryzen™ AI 9 HX 370 processor—12 cores, 24 threads, built on “Zen 5” architecture—and the brand-new NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 Laptop GPU, complete with AI accelerators for on-chip upscaling and AI-driven tasks. This powerful combination outpaces my G16’s RTX 4070 configuration, delivering up to 44% faster multitasking in Cinebench, unleashing the potential for high-performance tasks. Memory stays at a generous 32 GB LPDDR5X, and storage is a roomy 2 TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD, ensuring near-instant boot and load times. Whether loading massive game worlds or juggling dozens of browser tabs, the G14 never breaks a sweat. ASUS employs an advanced ROG Intelligent Cooling system with liquid metal, Tri-Fan Technology, 2nd-Gen Arc Flow Fans, and a vapor-chamber heat spreader to manage such power efficiently. In gaming sessions exceeding an hour, the G14 maintains comfortable surface temperatures and elevated clock speeds without aggressive fan noise, providing reassurance of efficient heat management. The audio quality also sees a significant upgrade, with new woofers pumping out more volume and deeper bass to 100 Hz, all wrapped in a Dolby Atmos profile for immersive spatial sound. To conclude, the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 is a compelling evolution of the G-series: it condenses flagship performance into a marvelously light, compact design. As a G16 owner, I appreciate the jump in raw power and AI capabilities and the huge portability boost. While it commands a higher price, the G14 delivers a premium package for gamers and creators who refuse to compromise performance or mobility, especially if half-inch gains in thickness and a full pound of weight savings matter to you.

The 2025 ROG Zephyrus G14 is the perfect laptop for gamers, creators, and power users who want desktop-level performance in a 14-inch form factor. It’s expensive, yes—but if you want the best blend of power, portability, and premium quality, this is as close to perfect as a gaming laptop gets.

The unpacking reveals the chassis that almost looks carved out of marble. The first sense you get that this is not just pretty but a solid performant machine is the heft, and the feel of the body. It feels remarkably rigid for a laptop, I could not discern any flex at all. You have to plug it in, to turn it on for the first time. Along with the laptop is a chonky 200W power supply, and the laptop has a DCIN port on the left hand side. And this is not a USB-C power supply, I am not sure why. Seems like the latest USB C standard allows for up to 240W of power supply, so... why not use that standard. There are 2 USB C ports capable of power delivery on both sides of the laptop, but I am guessing they don't deliver the full 200W of peak power. And the laptop can detect when its getting the 200W through the included supply, and auto switches to the discrete GPU even on the desktop. I usually play eSports like FC25, CS GO and this laptop chews them up like they are a spreadsheet. I also threw Witcher 3 and GTA V at it, and with the laptop plugged into the wall through the included power supply. Witcher 3 at high settings ran smooth, but I had to tweak some settings for GTAV. But once you start playing on that beautiful display, you are not focused on a couple of FPS dips, the experience is unparalleled. When the laptop switches from the integrated AMD GPU to the discrete NVIDIA GPU, the screen blinks for a second (goes dark and comes back on. It was a bit concerning at the beginning, till I realized that's just how the switch works. You can reduce the resolution to extend battery life, which is exactly what I did, honestly on a 14" screen I have never I felt I needed anything more than 1920 x 1200. Yes, 1200 not 1080, since this is a 16:10 screen, giving you a bit more vertical real estate. Which in the days of Windows 11, where the start menu still cannot be placed on whichever edge you want (! Microsoft!!), is a boon. And there have been days where I have purely used it as a web browsing machine, and on balanced power setting, with the resolution set as I have, I have almost eeked out 7ish hours. This includes Youtube and Netflix play back. And this is where we come to the audio. There is a 3.5mm headphone jack. But oh my god! The speakers, how they packed that kind of sound into this thing of a body is beyond me. Hands down the best laptop speakers I have heard. There is a surround sound effect, and the bass is felt, it truly fills the room. Just to round off the I/O, it also has a full HDMI port, 2 full USB A ports and a microSD card reader. Again, this is not something that can be taken for granted these days, where companies take any chance to reduce cost and remove features in the name of "slim" profiles. This laptop is ofcourse not ultra thin, its just about the right profile. Now lets talk about a few gripes of mine - This is Windows Hello capable, but just through the camera and not a fingerprint reader. The power button feels exactly like a fingerprint reader does, but apparently its not one. At least for me in Windows settings, no fingerprint scanner was detected. And I don't like facial scanning, so here I am using PIN number like a normie. This is not a touch enabled screen, I am not a heavy touch screen user on a laptop, but nowadays they are so universal, that on some occasions I do find myself without thinking , swiping on the screen and then realise, nothing's happening. Your mileage may vary. Also, I will bring it up for every single laptop, since Dell Inspiron spoiled me. In this day and age of privacy conscious consumer, the camera needs to have a privacy shutter built in. Overall though I absolutely adore it and it is my daily driver.

This is legitimately one of the best laptops on the market currently, probably only beaten by another of Asus's offerings. There are a lot of things that I've noticed improved over prior year models and some small issues that have remained the same. Design: The design is one of the things that has been most improved. Gone is the somewhat chonky block and in is this new slim, light svelte model. I was actually shocked by how light and thin it was compared to my 2021 model. The new white color is also quite a looker, with a tasteful blinking LED strip going across the back. Connectivity: There are no shortage of ports on this machine. There is 1 HDMI 2.1 port, 2 USB-A ports, 2 USB-C ports (1 USB 3.2, 1 USB 4), a headphone jack, and a micro SD card reader. Im pleased that the port for the charging cable has been moved further up so it doesn't sit directly in the middle of the laptop anymore. It's not as high up as I'd likely but much more comfortable to position now. Screen: The screen is also something majorly improved from my 2021 model. It is an absolutely gorgeous 1800p 120hz 10 bit screen screen. At this price point, you could make an argument that it should be full 4k or at least 240hz but in actual practice the clarity of the panel is superb, with no sort of screen door effect or lack of sharpness and with very good motion clarity with the inky blacks and vivid colors that OLED can offer. I think most people would be hard pressed to find a better screen than what's on offer here and even more difficult to actual notice the difference. In regards to the refresh rate, the laptop itself supports both freesync and gsync, but only through an externally connected screen. The laptop screen itself does not support VRR. This laptop also supports HDR/Dolby Vision. While HDR on Windows is still...interesting to setup, this screen still manages to look pretty excellent with native 10 bit color depth, just shy of 700 nits, and a claimed 100% DCI P3 coverage and is also pantone validated. I don't think I've seen a better looking screen on a laptop yet. Performance: Moving onto the main event, I've been positively thrilled by the capabilities of this machine. I truly believe that this Ryzen 9/RTX 5080 combo with 32GB RAM hits the goldilocks zone in performance. You have the full suite of enhancement tools from both AMD and NVIDIA including DLSS, multi frame gen, FMF, etc. In pretty much all the games I have tested so far (shadow of the tomb raider, halo, fallout, final fantasy 15, ME legendary edition) even native resolution with no DLSS, max settings, and full ray tracing effects, I've managed at least 80 fps on all of them while games that allow using DLSS have all reached a consistent 120fps at least. During all this while ofc the GPU would be pretty active the CPU seemed to be chilling throughout this, never passing ~40ish% utilization which leads me to believe that even heavier games that are much more CPU bound. I've also been sitting at around 16GB RAM usage generally at all times so configurations with lesser RAM amounts might have some performance penalties without the extra headroom. While some of the newer games that have much more prevalent RT effects or are much more graphically intensive might lower performance slightly, I have no doubt that it can easily reach 60fps in pretty much every new game at high settings while using DLSS. Negatives/considerations: As fantastic as this laptop is, I would be remiss if I did not mention some of the downsides to it. Heat: the first issue is heat dissipation. Sadly this one aspect seems to still be an issue. Even when not gaming and just using it casually or for office work it gets very hot to the point its very uncomfortable to have on your lap and even the top surface of laptop gets toasty to the touch. You definitely need something to elevate the laptop or one of those cooling pads with fans in order to help get airflow through this thing. Even the charger itself get really hot to the point I might worry if you have it laying on anything that might be susceptible to heat or burning. Battery life: here's the second caveat which is somewhat worse. This is definitely not an all day battery life laptop. It averages about 2h30 off the charger just doing casual tasks, which while I understand somewhat due to the powerful components in the laptop that have high power draw I've had other gaming laptops that faired a few hours better so there's some room for improvement here, even if it's just Asus adding a power mode that throttles everything to the bare minimum for light/office usage. Glitches: as seems to be usual with Asus, I've had multiple times where upon booting the laptop up that backlight for the keyboard just didn't activate. On previous machines, just restarting the aura service would do the trick but not so on this one which required multiple restarts in order to finally trigger correctly although the instance of this occurring is somewhat less than previous models at the same time. Asus should really consider having a basic backlight function always active at the BIOS level (which can be toggled off from there) rather than depending solely on the aura service for its function/control. Overall considerations: At the end of the day, I think spec-wise and design-wise this laptop hits the mark perfectly. At the current time, I dont think there's anything that beats this laptop overall and its very well positioned for success. If you want a machine with a fantastic screen that will be your daily driver for modern AAA gaming, this is the machine for the job; just dont expect to be far away from a charger or use it without a riser of some sort. The only other alternative I can offer is Asus's own ROG Flow Z13. As a pure AMD APU based machine, while still very capable, it obviously loses performance to this monster but as a 2 in 1 with a folio keyboard it pretty much addresses the downsides of this machine in terms of heat dissipation and battery life, which might be a better consideration for remote workers/casual users that want a portable machine that can do some serious gaming but don't want to be tied to a charger exclusively or deal with thermal management as heavily

The Future in a Compact Package

If you are looking for a compact gaming powerhouse and have the money to spend, look no further. The ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14, specifically this model with the Ryzen 9 AI HX, 32GB of RAM, 2TB of storage, and the Nvidia RTX 5080. I’ve spent the past week giving it a thorough test in the two ways I plan on using it. As a laptop doing gaming on the go, and plugged into my tv as a console replacement. The G14 gets an A+ as a gaming laptop and an A- as a TV console replacement. After setting up, I immediately noticed something shocking. The bloatware that has weighed down these machines in the past is gone. Not sure if that is just for this high end model or if it’s across the board but boy am I happy to not have to uninstall 500 apps I’ll never use. Jumping into the actual meat of the device, gaming. I booted up what I have been addicted to for the past several weeks, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, because I wanted to play more of it, because it’s a beautiful game, and because it’s a resource hog. I was shocked at what it was able to achieve though, see the numbers and settings down below but either in laptop mode or connected to my TV and set to 1440p I was easily getting 60fps which is tough for this game. I could probably push fps higher with AI upscaling and frame interpolation, but I really wanted to see what the true hardware could do and I was impressed. Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 – 4K, High Graphics Settings: 40fps – 1440p, High Graphics Settings: 60fps Other more-optimized games were no sweat for the G14. Outside of Clair Obscur, I never felt constrained by this device, despite its compact form factor. This is near the pinnacle of where we are at when it comes to gaming laptops, with it only being slightly slower than a RTX 5090 in the graphics department. This 5080 will last us for a long time to come in terms of gaming. In terms of everything else, you are set. I did some work on the G14 and was so happy that any issues from the past are gone. The display is beautiful and 16:10 for better reading. The keyboard and touchpad are some of the best on the market. It has all the ports you need (ok it’s missing SD but at least has MicroSD). All of my qualms are really out of ASUS’s hands. It’s a gaming laptop so it’s always going to be more expensive than a desktop equivalent. The stupid Copilot button is a Microsoft requirement. Future prices are hugely up in the air due to tariffs. The only thing in their control is something I’m not sure of. Could a bigger chassis unlock speed increases? In any case, we have hit truly a momentous time in gaming laptops. This machine is beefier than most gaming rigs but easily fits in a messenger bag. It’s well designed to be both a gaming and work machine. It’s anything you need it to be, and that’s exactly what I need out of a laptop. Pros: An absolute powerhouse Beautiful OLED display 16:10 display aspect ratio for easier switching between work and play Well designed, compact package 5080 is only slightly slower than a 5090 for I’m guessing a decent price cut Keyboard and touchpad have been refined for perfection Bloatware is gone! All the ports you need Cons: As always, the desktop version of this would be cheaper A bigger chassis could likely see some speed increases The RGB blade on the back is pretty useless I don’t need a Copilot button, although that’s a Microsoft problem Who knows what the price will be in the future due to tariffs

This model of the Zephyrus G14 is a yearly refresh of the existing 2024 G14. The big changes here are that this 2025 model comes with the the new AMD Ryzen AI 300 Series CPUs and new 5000 series GPUs. Design: The entire laptop is aluminum and feels very premium. The color is labeled as metallic white and I think that's a good description of it. Under bight light it looks more silver but under darker conditions it looks more white. They included a customizable LED light strip on the back of the display to add a little more uniqueness. This year its a tad thicker at the bottom due to the GPU but its still both stylish and professional looking. It doesn't look like your typical gaming laptop and that's a good thing. Specs: This thing comes pretty loaded! 14" 3k 120Hz OLED display AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 32gb of DDR5 RAM AMD Radeon 890M GPU Nvidia RTX 5080 GPU 2tb SSD storage Display: This laptop comes with a 14 inch 3k 16:10 OLED display. The display is sharp and clear, with great contrast and vibrant colors. Asus calls it a Nebula Display but all you need to know is that it looks amazing! It also gets bright enough to the point I don't need max brightness. Looks a lot better than the older G14s that used an LCD panel. You can change the internal screen refresh rate to either 60Hz or 120Hz. You can use a external display and push that refresh rate even higher if you want. Keyboard/Touch Pad: Keyboard is the same as last years but with a Copilot dedicated key to trigger the Windows built in AI. The keyboard is RBG backlit and has 3 levels of brightness. It gets really bright on highest setting. You can customize the colors to your hearts desire but its all one zone. There is also different lighting effect you can apply. The touchpad on this thing is massive and I love it! It goes from the space key all the way to the edge of the laptop. Basically as big as they could make it. The touch sensitivity and clicks feel good but still no haptics. Webcam: It has a HD webcam that supports Windows Hello so you can unlock using facial recognition to login instead of typing a password every time. Sound: The speakers in this thing are actually really good. I was really surprised when I first heard them. Possibly the best laptop speakers I've ever heard. I guess Asus says it has 6 speakers. Some of them are front facing as well which helps. Performance: This specific model comes with the new AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370. With 12 cores so with hyper-threading the count comes out to be 24 threads! It also comes maxed out with 32GB of DDR5 RAM. It has a CPU, 2 GPUs, and a NPU for AI. Listen, with these maxed out specs this laptop smokes pretty much everything. I noticed no lag at all. Wifi: Since its AMD based it includes a Mediatek wifi card. It does support the latest wifi standard wifi 7 which is nice to see. Also backwards compatible with older wifi 4, 5, 6, 6e. Running speed tests I was able to hit my max internet speed with a strong signal but it still took longer to ramp up to max speed when compared to the intel wifi 7 cards. Fan/Heat: When it came to fan noise I expected it to be bad but was pleasantly impressed. For day to day non-gaming use it was extremely quite. I have no noise or heat issues at all. If you keep it in silent mode you can use it as a normal laptop on your lap and not worry about it getting too hot. If you switch into performance or turbo mode the fans will eventually kick on and once you do something that utilizes the Nvidia GPU the fans really kick up. It gets louder as all fans ramp up another level but its still not as loud as some other gaming laptops I've used. It does get pretty hot though. Especially above the keyboard. There is a lot packed into this small chassis so things heat up fast once you start to push it. I like to play around with AI so I loaded up some local AI models. With this CPU, RAM, and GPU combo it can handle small to mid sized AI models with ease. They were quick to respond and fans didn't push too hard. As expected when I load up larger models they were very slow to respond and the fans kicked to max which made this thing sound like it was about to take off. As long as you don't load a model that is too large it works well. Gaming: I've been using the iGPU (AMD 890M) for every day tasks. By doing so helps with battery, noise, and heat. Then using the dGPU (Nvidia RTX5080) for gaming. While it's not a desktop-level powerhouse, it's perfect for laptop gaming. I've been able to play everything from classic favorites to modern titles without a hitch. It's a fantastic balance of performance and portability. Obviously its not a desktop GPU but I've been able to play every game I've thrown at it so far. Overall it performs better than last years. The SSD in this is NVMe PCIe 4, not PCIe 5. Having 2tb of onboard space is nice though. I hate having to uninstall games to free up space for new games or for game updates to install. The 2tb of space is double what most gaming laptops typically come with. Battery: Obviously battery life depends on a lot of factors but I'm seeing around 6 hours in silent mode, not gaming. Once you start using the dGPU its game over on battery life. While gaming with the 5080 I'm getting about 1 hour. Thats with screen brightness at 75% and in performance power mode. When gaming your going to want to be plugged in anyway. The power supply is 200 watts with the same square connector as last year. Summary: The Zephyrus G14 is still my favorite 14" gaming laptop. Its got that perfect mix of premium functional laptop mixed with the specs of a gaming laptop. This years model gets a small bump in GPU but big bump in CPU. For anyone looking for a larger display get the G16 and if you are looking for something smaller and more portable get the G14. Also if you want to save some money, last years models will save you some cash and still really good. Either way get a Zephyrus!

ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 - Outstanding!

ASUS - ROG Zephyrus G14 14" OLED 3K 120Hz Gaming Laptop - AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX - 32GB RAM - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 - 2TB SSD - Platinum White I am impressed by this 14” gaming laptop! Fit and finish are superb - from its sculpted aluminum case to its large glass touch pad to its excellent keyboard to that wonderful OLED display and all the topnotch components inside. ASUS has done something exceptionally nice here, and I haven’t found anything I don’t like. All its components are upper tier. The battery is a 73Wh 4-cell Li-ion battery. I tested it fully charged and found for my use doing normal office/home use that it ran off the battery 5hrs with 27% of the battery charge left – if you calculate that out it comes to about 6.5 to 7.0 hours from 100% charge to zero charge. Of course, your experience may differ but off the charger I would expect between 5 to 6+ hours for ordinary office/home/class use. Obviously, that’s not in the same ballpark as some other laptops that get 10 to 15 hours out of a battery, but you must keep in mind that the ROG Zephyrus G14 is a gaming laptop or photo/video editing laptop or a CAD laptop and handles any other intensive, graphics heavy applications with ease. Those laptops getting twice or 3 times the use on one charge aren’t doing any heavy lifting at all. The ROG Zephyrus G14 does heavy lifting without working up a sweat, and it handles anything you want to do with it! I tested the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 GPU by running two games, 7 Days to Die (7d2d) and Horizon Zero Dawn (HZD), both games’ settings set to Ultimate. Both these games are intense graphically speaking, placing a lot of demand on any computer. Not one time playing either game was there any motion slowdown, hesitation or hiccups of any sort. I typically got between 60 to 140 FPS playing 7D2D (this game is notorious for there being few zombies in play to there being hundreds of zombies in play thus the swings in FPS) and between 110 to 140 FPS playing HZD (gorgeous scenery but seldom great swings of numbers of characters on the screen thus more even FPS during game play) while having two external monitors attached each handling other things during both games. As I played either game the fans were running 5000± rpm, 85℃± 45dBA of noise consistently no matter how long I played. While just watching videos with other apps open and no game playing the fans were at 2700 rpm with 27.7 dBA noise and the temperature was consistently 63±℃. As far as “noise” goes, this word would only apply while playing intense games, but if you game you soon tune out fan noise so that you don’t even notice it. When not doing graphics intense activities, the fans are hardly noticeable and would not bother anyone if you used your ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 in a classroom taking notes. All heat exhausts from the back of the laptop – connectors for everything are on both the left and right sides. This is a Copilot+PC concerning AI as well. The AI Neuro Processing Units (NPU) are integrated with the CPU or the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370, so onboard AI processing is available instead of just cloud AI processing. The NPU is rated at 50 trillion operations per second (TOPS). There’s a lot to be said about all the other components making up this excellent laptop, but you can get all the technical data easily with a search on your browser. However, I must make a brief comment about the sound – it is GREAT! Best sound I’ve heard from any laptop. It offers 6 speakers (including 2 woofers) along with Dolby Atmos and AI noise cancellation. The sound comes from two locations, one on either side of the keyboard facing up. I don’t mind the 3.6 lbs. the G14 weighs because it can do anything you need it to do from heavy graphics, ordinary office work or taking notes in meetings or classrooms. The 16:10 aspect ratio I really like for documents too, and the .63” thickness is svelte in my opinion. Sorry, I could keep going but this review is getting long as it is. ASUS has really come up with a beautiful and powerful laptop, and I love mine!

This is an amazing little powerhouse. The laptop is small and compact making it easy to take with me where ever I want to go. Despite being pretty small, it has a full HDMI connection as well as a couple full sized USB plugs. This is a big deal for me. I know that the new USBc plugs are better in so many ways, but the transition is still pretty recent. I can’t tell you how often I am trying to use an accessory I have only to find out I don’t have an available USB port. I have a few adapters to help, but really I don’t have the money to upgrade every accessory I have to a USBc version. Eventually I won’t care, but as of right now this is a huge plus. I did notice they went with a different plug for the charger. If this is your only laptop no big deal, but I have a few of the same brand, and it would be nicer for me to be able to just set a charger in key locations and whatever laptop is being used there can just plug in. I’m not sure if the charger port is better or just different but this is a computer with a USBa port so its accepting that its a version that transitions across standards so I would have personally preferred the older style charger. Now it can charge over USBc and it does a decent job here, but the power direct charging is never quite as good with these higher spec laptops. Actually running the laptop is great. I loaded up Baulder’s Gate 3 and it ran just fine at highest settings. I got a little bit of visual glitches after I had been playing for a while, but honestly I think it was a heat issue from playing for a while and if I had a cooler setup it wouldn’t have been an issue. I thought that the screen was really crisp and clear. I’ll admit that I’m not the pickiest when it comes to this and the smaller size means a the manufacturers can get a way with a bit more, but I’m really happy with it. Of course for long term gaming, its just not big enough. I hooked it up to my 27 inch monitor and everything still looked great. I also plugged it into a projector and things looked good, but at that point my projector would be the quality bottleneck anyway. I didn’t love the inputs, but I chalk this up to a smaller form factor. You can only do so much for ergonomics on a keyboard that small. Its more than serviceable but I’ll be using my wireless keyboard most of the time. Overall this is an amazing laptop for any gamer. Maybe not the highest specs you could possibly get, but for the sacrifices you have to make to get a smaller laptop, this is perfect.

Build quality is excellent with surprisingly good speakers. Keyboard has built-in LED programmable color change. Wi-Fi is quite fast Wi-Fi seven Chip is media tech. ROG installs quite a bit of software to help with game optimization and coloring. Fan is frequently on and it’s fairly quiet unless running demanding applications. On the left, there is a headphone jack USB-A, HDMI, power and 40 GB thunderbolt port. On the right there is a 10 GB USB and an additional USB-C. A microSD slot is also present on the left. Screen is fantastic and bright. Screen to size ratio is excellent with a minimal bezel particularly on the left and right. The glass track pad is large and very functional. The keyboard is very good and given the size there is no number pad. A separate power button is supplied. This is always preferred as it can be found easily without backlighting. AURALED lighting is access via function button. Silent performance and turbo motors are also available Via hot key. The silent mode runs a small speed fan. Copilot button is unfortunately included. Restart and power on quite quick. I tested several games and play was quite smooth and sound is surprisingly good without headphones. All steam games including latest call of duty were quite smooth - I attempted Doom Eternal via Xbox live but it failed to launch. I will test more but believe the issue not related to the laptop or drivers but the install. I much prefer steam and GOG over the Microsoft launcher. Armory crate software is very good and more robust than some other gaming software optimization utilities that I have utilized. With the system in the Windows operating mode, the fans were between 2320 600 rpm with an acoustic level of 24.2 DBA. The silent mode was similar. Performance mode in turbo mode were louder./Lighting allows, illuminated examinations to cost your laptop lid through a customizable LED display and has a sonic match capability. Overal an excellent 14 inch gaming laptop with none of the typical small size limitations!
