Customers recognize the ROG Zephyrus G14's impressive performance and excellent battery life as major strengths. Its lightweight and portable design, along with the ample RAM, also receive positive feedback. However, some users point to the lack of a built-in camera and occasional high temperatures as drawbacks. The fan noise and display brightness also received mixed reviews.

Works well, very happy. Slim, use for work and play. I enjoy FPS, RPG and racing games on it. Also spreadsheets. I am always running a lot on it so I’m not a good judge regarding battery life even though I’m forced to rate it. It’s a gaming rig though so I’m rarely not plugged in.

Got this computer over a weekend sale and very happy so far. The 16GB RAM is more than fast enough to work and multitask; the laptop is sleek an lightweight. I'm using this as a hybrid work and gaming computer. Haven't gamed a ton on it yet but so far it's been solid. Recommend at this price point.

A bit noisy when gaming but it’s fine with headphones. Keyboard is really nice, track pad not so much. No webcam keep that in mind. Only two USB ports. Display is 60hz so its not the cleanest but games run well enough. Would recommend as a secondary gaming device but not for a primary.

Got a great deal on this laptop as an open box item for about $600 off the list price. Fast, light and powerful but please note there is no built-in camera. Didn't even know that was possible in 2022. I have USB cameras so it's not a big deal but a little dissapointing.

Despite the small screen and low refresh rate, this laptop packs a punch. The battery life on this laptop is efficient and really helps to those who use it for school and also for video editing. It also has a slim body and is lightweight. Really easy to bring anywhere.

A Good Content Creation Laptop

First off, I would not classify this laptop as a "gaming laptop." I would classify this as a good content creation laptop. I bought this for that particular reason and after using it for more than a month I'm very happy with this purchase. I did buy this used like-new in excellent condition.
The screen looks nice with colors on my unit. It is well enough for content creation. it may not get to the 500+ nitts as some other laptops but for most applications it is fine.
The laptop is very lightweight and has a decent selection of ports. two USB-C ports and 2 USB-A ports so enough to cover most of everything you will need. Lacking an SD-Card slot but nothing a dongle can't fix. Also, you get an HDMI port as well.
This device charge super fast in under an hour. I do like the fact you can top the battery off at 80% to prolong battery life. You can even go lower with a 60% top-off if you want to keep it plugged in.
Now for the performance, this thing is fast. The Ryzen 7 5800HS is enough for most applications with its 8 cores and 16 threads. I mean this thing eats up most things I throw at it easily. This Ryzen 7 performs a little less compared to the Ryzen 7 5800H but that is based on a 45W and not 35W. There is not much on the Ryzen 7 5800HS chip it seems to only come in this model of the G14. The GPU is nothing to ride home about but it is fine. It will play most games at 1080p settings. If you want to play games at 1440p or 4k look at something else.
The keyboard and trackpad or nice for a "gaming laptop." Not as good as my Lenovo yoga but I enjoy typing on this device. The travel is much more and soft touch for my taste.
The speakers on this thing are amazing. This thing gets loud when you are watching videos or movies. I leave this thing at 30% and it is clear and crisp. I don't feel a need to go higher than this.
The Asus Armory Crate is a nice add-on as well once you get used to it and its functions. This is where you can disable the discrete GPU so you are not draining the battery. It has many other functions as well.
I am only getting about 4 hours of battery on decent size workloads. I have things running in the background and am tasking the CPU. So your mileage may vary.
Now for the elephant in the room. This thing will get warm if you are going to game on it. This is a factor with all the G14s. After one hour of GTA5, this thing is pumping some major heat. CPU gets to about 80 degrees and the GPU about 60 degrees. So you need to either limit your fps or get a cooling pad. Yet, these temps are fine for Ryzen chips but you will not want to put this on your lap. I do leave this thing on Performance mode and I don't even notice the fans. When I first got it yes, I would hear the fans. Guess it has evened itself out.
Overall, I think this is a fantastic laptop for anyone who wants a powerful CPU and a little bit of graphics performance, and some casual gaming. If you are a hardcore gamer this is not the laptop for you. If you want a sleek all-metal build that won't draw a lot of attention. You are ok with an older CPU (Since the Rzyen 6000 chips have been released) this is a wonderful laptop that will not break the bank.

Writing this for the My Best Buy points lol. Overall, a great laptop for the price in terms of specs like RAM, processor, and GPU. Very nice trackpad. The screen could be a little nicer, but you get what you pay for.

Awesome gaming computer. Does everything my daughter wants it for and it’s sleek. You do have to keep the finger print access smudge free, it’s sensitive. Great graphics, lighting and sound. Fans on it are not very loud.

I absolutely love this laptop and highly recommend it!! Its really fast and really easy to set up! It does have a tendency to heat up quickly with more higher quality games with high quality graphics so just keep an eye on how hot it gets!

This PC is fast and has a very clear screen. I needed one with lots of memory for some design software I am using--so I'm not using it for gaming. Since I use it for my work and home, and did not see a camera hole on it, I asked in the store (before I bought it) if there was a camera and was told "yes, of course, they all have them now". Since my last 2 PC's (dating back to 2010 had them), I believed them. Much to my disappointment, when I signed in to host my first Zoom Meeting, there is NO CAMERA. After that embarrassment, I now need to go buy an external one... sigh.
