It is easy and intuitive. The only odd thing is that it keeps disconnecting from the wifi. It is easy to reconnect but i dont know why it does this after being shut down. Using it for molecular simulation. So far so good

So far still testing. But love it so far Con is the battery only lasts 4 hours Definite negative. Don’t think that’s normal but got a great price so we are hoping it’s other attributes make up for the lack of battery life

Excellent laptop for $800. Was looking for a Ryzen 7 laptop and this one had all the things. Graphic card could have been better but at this price, cant complain.

The Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 got rave reviews when it came out last year. It was even called the best gaming laptop by some people. For good reason, it was very impressive in a small form factor at a fairly affordable price point. It is still very impressive, but when people talk about that, they usually are referring to the higher-highest spec'ed versions with Ryzen 9 or higher resolution screen with high refresh rate. What about the base model? The one with Ryzen 7, 1080P resolution, and 60 Hz refresh rate. It's still good. For the vast majority of people, they want a computer that is decently fast, decent performance, be productive, good keyboard, good trackpad, good battery life, and maybe play games when they feel like it. Maybe throw in good build quality because you want a product that will actually last you a bit. This is actually quite hard to achieve. Especially at a decent price point. The base model Asus Zephyrus G14 hits pretty close. Even if its a gamer product, it really is versatile. The build quality of the device is just very decent. You're not getting a unibody metal chassis. However, the chassis is very sturdy with a little flex. There is a bit of screen flex and I can see it warping over time if you aren't too careful with your computers. I was still pleased with the design of the computer. It isn't too loud or scream gamer. The thin bezels and overall form factor make it look modern. Ports included HDMI (thank you), two USB type C, two USB type A, and an audio jack. It is very practical. No need for pesky adapters or dongles. How is the every day use? In terms of its keyboard, it is a backlit keyboard. I got used to it very quickly. The backlight is white with 3 levels of brightness. It's fairly quite and comfortable. I enjoyed typing on it. The touchpad is also very smooth, comfortable, and accurate. The speakers are AWESOME. Definitely makes media consumption really enjoyable. They get loud and are upward-firing so it is all directed towards you. The display is probably one of the weaknesses of this laptop. It's got decent color accuracy. Colors are a bit warm but I actually prefer that. It is fairly sharp. Images were as crisp as you would expect from a 1080P laptop. It has wide viewing angles. However, it is fairly dim. It struggles with sunlight but you will not have any problems with indoors. The 60 Hz display may deter gamers who are looking for that smoothness. Something that people should be aware of, the base model does NOT have the AniMe Matrix LED display which are when the lights on the back can light up and do short animations. In addition, there is NO webcam which in my opinion really impacts the utility of this device especially in the virtual world we live in right now. Even with all of its perks, this alone really bothered me. Even a cheap low resolution one would have worked. In terms of its performance, it can handle everyday driver tasks with no issue. It can edit some photos and videos. For games, I tried Witcher 3 and was getting 40-50 frames per second. This was honestly great. Ryzen 7 performs great. I did not run any benchmarks but they are easily found online. They easily outperform Intel. Thermals were awesome. The fans are quiet at baseline. They do kick in during games and can get a little high-pitched but nothing too bad. The design also helps by lifting up the bottom of the laptop when you open the lid and that increases airflow along the bottom. Battery life was good. I could get 8 hours of normal use, 10 hours if I really squeezed it. The FHD display and low refresh rate help a lot with this. All in all, this is a good laptop. You get so much in a small form factor and for the money. In fact, my biggest gripe is the lack of a webcam which prevents it from being the best at this price point. However, if you want an all-around performer, then you cannot go wrong with the Asus Zephyrus G14. Especially if you can get these on sale or open box, then these are an excellent choice for a sub 1000$ laptop. Pros Good build quality Sleek and modern design Good port selection that is both practical and future-proof Comfortable keyboard and trackpad GREAT speakers Ryzen 7 CPU really shines - great performance Good thermals 8-10 hours of battery Great price Cons Screen is FHD and 60 Hz (for those who want higher performance) Screen is a bit dim No AniMe Matrix LED display on the back NO WEBCAM!

I purchased this top of the line graphics laptop computer for architectural schooling. I set it up, used it at school for 2 days and day 3 it wouldn’t even power on. (I should have known better than to later purchase the router- see that review) 1 year ago I returned the laptop and purchased a Mac book 14 pro- no issues whatsoever!

Hinge threw me off, but it is fine. Fingerprint sensor seems kinda inconsistent, but does not really add much annoying to anything. Takes a non-zero amount of effort to open lid. Looks pretty.
