Many appreciate its premium build quality, impressive speakers, and lightweight, portable design. Excellent for school and mixed gaming! I would recommend getting a cooling pad as the computer does run hot. But the overall performance is fantastic the ram is on the lower side sadly but games still run good! Good gift for college students l.

The do everything laptop with a slim compact design. I've owned every iteration of the G14, this one smacks it out of the park with its 120hz OLED display. The hardware is perfectly suited for this resolution and size. The 4060 with DLSS can run almost every game 60+ fps ON BATTERY. It's really remarkable to see something so thin and quiet push out Unreal Engine 5 gameplay.

Runs very hot. I've always contemplated the reason for calling gold and carry compress being called laptops as they cannot function easily on ones lap and even if you can type as lightly aa a mouse the laptop will burn you and there is not enough air circulation on any lap to cool them even with fans that push air out at the fold as well as under the keyboard that draws air from below and pushes it out the sides. I purchased this gaming laptop for the graphics and speed because the'standard' graphics for work computers are shared and videos are dull and lag or chop on movies. I have eyesight problems and need competent graphics to adjust for or eyesight without paying for a built-for-me laptop of 5k. Televisions are so much less however they don't fit a bedside feeding table. Were I rich is have a 6k television that could lower from the ceiling at the foot of my bed but I'm not rich. Social Security pays my bills and feeds me and I'm one of the lucky people who paid 30 years of the tax just before i couldn't pay more due to chronic and some catastrophic illness(es). I would give the ROG 5 stars were it or any laptop could run without burning ones lap and could have disabled more of what makes it a gamers laptop (too much bells and whistles) OEM and software unnecessary toward my needs. I do use accounting and tax software and calenders with 5 separate email accts for different accounting, apps purchased and banking along with Microsoft 365. None of this requires excellent graphics and sound but I've ignored somewhat the interruptions of its bells and whistles. I've day I'll call geek squad and see if i can get a faster way to disable these things without having to research what i must keep running and what i can truly shut off.

G14 packs a punch. 4080 Runs AAA 4k res games at 60-80FPS. Great battery life. OLED Screen is gorgeous. Gets hot but with a laptop stand and GHelper it’s not an issue.

Phenomenal laptop! The chassis is premium and fit and finish is phenomenal. Great battery life on eco mode and churns through anything I toss at it. Only downside is that the ram is not upgradeable, but has a powerful dGPU with its own ram which helps a bundle.

For the sale price I got it for, I have no rela complaints, excpet for the mere 16gb of unupgradeable ram. Display, battery, performance are all good, just wosh the ram was upgradeable.

I bought this so I can replace my old Asus M15. I like the design and it's portability. I love the color contrasts that it projects. I think it's worth the buy. I would recommend this definitely. The only caveat is that the battery life is not the best

This was a beautiful and impressive laptop, great for both work and gaming. The only drawback I experienced was the battery life. I eventually had to purchase a MacBook Pro because the battery limitations became a serious issue for my daily workflow. That said, compared to other laptops on the market, this slim and stylish device still offers better battery performance. However, if you need to use it unplugged for extended periods—especially while running power-intensive software—it may not meet your needs. The display is stunning, and overall, this was the best Windows laptop I’ve used in its price range.

Battery Life: 10 or so hours doing light tasks. I feel comfortable with leaving the charger at home for the day. RAM: Not upgradeable and may not be enough for heavy tasks. SSD: Upgradeable. Only one nvme slot available. OLED: looks great and I do a lot typing and reading with no eye fatigue. Charging port is on the same side as the only usb c port that can also charge. It would have been nice to have it on the opposite side or even better have one on each side.

I had several G14 models and this one was clearly the best - thinner design, good weight distribution, although not fan of that led stripe, and a bit too shinny for me, but performance, screen, battery, fan noise, temp - all was clearly the best so far in G14 series.

I’ve had it for a month now and this laptop is my favorite I’ve ever owned. It works perfectly for video editing on the go and the battery life is satisfactory. It always gives me a good few hours of video editing before it gets too low, which is just what I need. Fast, clean, and powerful. Great Laptop.

    One thing to know...

I recently bought this PC and I noticed that there are many videos of people who are not "gamers" who got this PC and complain about the heat and other issues. First thing, this is a "gaming PC" and this computers are a little different than other laptops. Probably someone close to you is a "gamer" and if that is the case, you know that this person is always talking about GPU's, FPS, RAM, VRAM and some other terms that sound so alien to the average person, well, this kind of laptop is designed for such people, and that means that this PCneeds a lot of twiking and tunning to make it your own. You need to invest a good amount of time to set it up so all those "defects" that many people mention, become more manageable. It is true, this laptop DOES get hot but that can be solve with some fine tunning (I am trying to avod using "gamer" terms for simplicity) and download some software that can help you with that. You are free to buy what you want but before you blame your device, gey informed and try to understand that this is a gamers laptop, NOT a regular one and as such, needs tunning.I don't blame you if you bought this out of looks, the thing is beautiful, well build and with great specs but maybe too much technlogy for non-gamer hands to handle. If you do some research around and learn about how to tune this device (if you are not a gamer) you may solve some of the issues with this computer but if you are impatient or simply you need a computer that works without problems out of the box, then I suuggest you to get another model, if you love Asus , they have some other "non-gamer" offerings that will work mostly fine out of the box, but this one (and all the ROG line) are beautiful beasts that need taming.

    Feels like a desktop computer!

Performance When I compare this with my previous computer, galaxybook 4 pro 360, it feels more capable to handle my samsung Odessey G80 external display. I usually run it at 4k 120hz, but this laptop can run it at 4k 240hz. I set it at 4k 120hz to match the hz internal display on the G14. On my galaxybook it seems fine when using only the external display, but when i run both screens the fans start roaring to their maximum and seems to heat up the computer a lot when playing youtube and multitasking. The G14 runs much cooler and much quieter when I'm doing this same workload and i can hear the audio better. I think I need to do more testing, but when i set it to dgpu only(ultimate), it runs like a desktop with virtually no interface lag. When I set it to standard using both igpu and dgpu the os moves mostly fine. It still beats the galaxybook when under high load. Convenience I wanted a 14 inch laptop with desktop power i could take with me to places. I thought i would take my gb pro 16 inch with me but i don't. I appreciate the smaller form factor and the slightly lighter weight. Battery The battery i am not so thrilled about since i have to turn off the dgpu to get good estimates like 4 to 6 hrs. If i leave it on it usually looks like 2 to 3 hrs. I run the screen at 120hz. This is all under light use, just internet, youtube, and documents. I have to do more tweaking, but i primarly got it because my inegrated gpu laptop with low profile cooling vents felt inadequate for using at my desk most of the time. The keyboard feels better than the gb pro and has good travel. I do wish it had a touchscreen even though i didnt use it much on the gb pro, but given the extra performance, i am willing to sacrifice it.
