Customers praise the ROG Zephyrus G14's performance, stunning OLED display, and excellent battery life. Many appreciate its premium build quality, impressive speakers, and lightweight, portable design. However, some users note that the laptop can get warm under heavy use and that the RAM is not upgradeable. Concerns were also raised regarding the fan noise and the GPU's limitations in fully utilizing the high-resolution display.

Got this on sale for $1199 for an bday gift for my son. Outstanding laptop for the price. The only con is no availability to upgrade memory. I have the previous model and upgrade to 24 GB. This laptop will not disappoint & buy it on sale now!

Quite possibly one of the most beautiful screens I've seen on a laptop. Compact and ergonomic, this is a must buy if you want gaming on the go in a Compact size with a compact price. My only complaint is that the RAM is soldered to the motherboard so you cannot upgrade the RAM. I don't understand why these companies keep doing this. Everyone wants more RAM. The good news is there is a second spot for a larger memory module. ASUS really hit it out of the park.

I bought this computer on here for $1300 four months ago. TLDR: This is the only computer I've ever bought that I didn't have buyer's remorse over --- Switching between silent & turbo modes on the fly is insanely useful (uninstall Asus and replace with GHelper, much more efficient); this makes it completely silent to take to class or work without bothering others. The turbo mode does cause the components to reach >80C and the fans do have to compensate, but I lower the wattage on the CPU to prevent overheating. If you dock the laptop to play with a monitor, I recommend keeping the screen open to let the heat dissipate through the keyboard, as I have had a couple dozen auto-shutdowns with the lid closed in a vertical stand. The screen on this laptop has received compliments from most of the people I work with; insanely color accurate, comparatively speaking, and the pixel density alone leads me to use the laptop screen more often than my monitor when playing games. Battery is about what I expected, and it does charge with USB-C as a backup if you forget the proprietary charger at home. The trackpad is slightly physical, but it is larger than that of the MacBooks and F10 quickly turns it off to prevent palm detection when using an external mouse.

I’ve been using the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 for a while, and overall it’s one of the best balance laptops I’ve come across. The 14-inch size makes it super portable, but it still packs a punch with great CPU/GPU performance for gaming and creative work. The display is sharp, colors are vibrant, and the 120Hz refresh rate makes everything smooth. Build quality feels premium too — slim, light, and easy to carry without looking overly “gamer-ish.”
That said, there are a few trade-offs. The GPU isn’t running at full power like bigger gaming laptops, so while performance is strong, you won’t always hit the same frame rates as bulkier machines. Under heavy load the fans get loud, and the laptop can heat up, especially around the keyboard. Battery life is solid for everyday use (around 6–7 hours for browsing and work), but gaming off-battery drains it quickly. Also, you don’t get a lot of upgrade flexibility — RAM is mostly fixed, so it’s important to buy the spec you’ll need long term.
If you want a laptop that blends portability, performance, and style, the Zephyrus G14 is an excellent choice. It’s perfect for people who travel, game, or do creative work on the go. But if you’re chasing maximum GPU power or all-day unplugged gaming, you’ll probably want a larger system.

Screen is beautiful, battery life is as expected of a gaming laptop, runs amazingly especially when plugged in. Storage goes by fast but manageable. Very fast in games, but the fans can get loud.

The ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 is a premium, well-rounded gaming laptop with outstanding performance, a breathtaking display, and a sleek design. Whether you’re gaming on the go, working on intensive creative projects, or just looking for a top-tier portable machine, the G14 excels across the board. However, it’s important to note that due to its premium price tag, I’d only recommend purchasing the G14 if it’s heavily discounted. For gamers and professionals who want a high-powered laptop in a compact and portable package, it’s definitely a great option—just make sure you’re getting it at a price that reflects its value.

Bought on discount, have had no issues whatsoever. Will run almost all games at 90+ fps, VR included. Great speakers, great image quality. Perfect for watching videos or movies. Battery life could be longer but is decent enough. VERY quiet.

Orginally, i was suspicous because of horror open box storiues that i have read about or seen but i was willing to give it a try and let me tell you that I am very impressed with the "good" condition of this open box laptop. As a display unit, i was almost never put to strain because a little load on the battery and screen but the screen was at perfect condition and so was the battery. Works likle brand new!!!

This laptop is amazing. Just the like the old G14s, this laptop is the perfect blend of portability and performance in a nice small package. As always it needs tuning out of the box to reach its full potential, which sadly Asus' Armory Crate cannot provide. But luckily, G-Helper exists.

Probably one of the best laptops I've ever owned. Yes it does get hot but that is to be expected when you're playing games for hours and being such a thin laptop. It's super lightweight extremely premium feel. I had to keep this one because of how amazing the OLED was. Never had a hiccup playing video games, and everything runs extremely smooth. Obviously good for productivity. I'm not bothered by the fans either, they are as loud as needed to be expected. If I had the funds I would even go for the RTX 4070. Amazing laptop.

I would recommend getting a cooling pad as the computer does run hot. But the overall performance is fantastic the ram is on the lower side sadly but games still run good! Good gift for college students l.

The highlight of this laptop is the screen. The OLED display is extremely bright and vibrant. The processor and RTX 4060 are enough for light gaming but I wouldn't recommend it for graphics intense games. I love the laptop for online shopping, watching Youtube/videos, and just browsing in general because of the OLED display. As long as you aren't gaming, the battery life does well enough, I can't say its anything fantastic but that is just how must gaming laptops are. I got this on sale for $500 off. Full price at $1600 might not be as good as a buy, recommend to wait for it to go on sale but don't hesitate if it is on sale!

Amazing computer, customized to disable cpu boost on battery and it's basically a macbook replacement for a school and media as well as a great gaming device when plugged in. Battery life around 6-7 hours for school work. 16gb of ram pretty full most the time, wish there was a 32gb version

LOVE the G14. It’s slim, portable, and capable. I’m easily playing BG3 at over 70fps at the full 3k resolution on high setting which is wild with its small chassis.

Fantastic product!! I was pretty unsure how it would perform because it is a laptop, but wow! This thing really cranks. I use it as a workstation for ML/AI/DL and it packs a punch for the size and components. Super happy with it. If its on sale, PICK IT UP.
