Broke day two after hardly using it

I picked it up and it seemed ok at first, I updated all the software and ran checks on everything. A little later it was running very hot (70°c) while just browsing the Internet. I went to bed and the next day it wouldn't turn on unless plugged in and the boot up process took about 10 minutes. Once it started up finally it was too slow to even pull up the task manager in less than 5 minutes. Couldn't even run diagnostic checks it was so slow. It sat for an hour and never finished. Also it only runs while plugged in. Just one day old and I barely used it and didn't install or do anything to it. Will be returning it tomorrow and not buying from BestBuy again. Great display though.

The only problem was that I didnt get what I payed, for the product specifically said it would come with a RTX 4070 but once i checked the specs it came with a radeon 780M which is not what it was suppose to come with. Im going to ask for a return or atleast for them to give me what i payed for sucks that it didn't come with what it was suppose to come with

The PC looks top quality (like a Mac) and the screen quality is great. But I bought two for my kids in college this fall. Before winter break, one of the PCs screen died. We sent it back to be fixed under warranty. While he waited for the PC to come back, my other son called as his blue screened and died. it also went back to ASUS for repair through Best Buy. The first G14 just came back a few days ago and it worked for a day or two before the screen died again. So it's going to have to go back again. I can see getting one lemon PC, but 2 out of 2? I do NOT recommend this PC. Note, I bought myself a G16 this summer and it has been flawless so far.

We certainly understand your disappointment with the quality of the product and the inconvenience this may have caused. All ASUS products undergo intensive quality control testing and inspections, and are built to last. Issues you have had wth two laptops are random. Typically, the following can be performed if the laptop will not boot up or power on suddenly. Please try to do a power cycle by pressing and holding down the power button to shut it down completely. If it still black screen after a few minutes, at least 10 minutes, please repeat the power cycle process again. If the laptop is applying updates in the System Registry, it will black screen temporarily until the update were applied successfully. Also, please try to disconnect the power cable and let the unit drain for 24 hours to clear the memory. This will reset the hardware to default settings. After doing this, please reconnect your AC adapter, do not power on the laptop until the battery was charged. Well for starters, the gpu is set to only 90 watts. That means you will never reach full potential of what a 4070 will do and its also got less memory than a 4070. That being said I was only getting 50 fps in a game called fractured online and per sey that game has avergae graphics on ultra setting. The battery also drained within 20 mins of game play. For the price point of being on sale at $1600. The price does not justify the value for the money. You are better off getting something else on sale with a 4060 at half the price. FYI, some programs squeeze themselves to fit on the tiny 14" screen which results in an awkard type of feeling.
