The only problem was that I didnt get what I payed, for the product specifically said it would come with a RTX 4070 but once i checked the specs it came with a radeon 780M which is not what it was suppose to come with. Im going to ask for a return or atleast for them to give me what i payed for sucks that it didn't come with what it was suppose to come with

I’m not a hardcore gamer but I wanted something that could handle my 3-D printing software needs and this machine does exactly that , with way more speed than I’ve previously experienced. I am very happy with this purchase and with everyone I dealt with at Best Buy. Fantastic experience.

The PC looks top quality (like a Mac) and the screen quality is great. But I bought two for my kids in college this fall. Before winter break, one of the PCs screen died. We sent it back to be fixed under warranty. While he waited for the PC to come back, my other son called as his blue screened and died. it also went back to ASUS for repair through Best Buy. The first G14 just came back a few days ago and it worked for a day or two before the screen died again. So it's going to have to go back again. I can see getting one lemon PC, but 2 out of 2? I do NOT recommend this PC. Note, I bought myself a G16 this summer and it has been flawless so far.

All ASUS products undergo intensive quality control testing and inspections, and are built to last. Issues you have had wth two laptops are random. Typically, the following can be performed if the laptop will not boot up or power on suddenly. Please try to do a power cycle by pressing and holding down the power button to shut it down completely. If it still black screen after a few minutes, at least 10 minutes, please repeat the power cycle process again. If the laptop is applying updates in the System Registry, it will black screen temporarily until the update were applied successfully. Also, please try to disconnect the power cable and let the unit drain for 24 hours to clear the memory. This will reset the hardware to default settings. After doing this, please reconnect your AC adapter, do not power on the laptop until the battery was charged. Well for starters, the gpu is set to only 90 watts. That means you will never reach full potential of what a 4070 will do and its also got less memory than a 4070. That being said I was only getting 50 fps in a game called fractured online and per sey that game has avergae graphics on ultra setting. The battery also drained within 20 mins of game play. For the price point of being on sale at $1600. The price does not justify the value for the money. You are better off getting something else on sale with a 4060 at half the price. FYI, some programs squeeze themselves to fit on the tiny 14" screen which results in an awkard type of feeling.

ASUS software isn't too bloaty and genuinely does help you customize some things. Face recognition occasionally doesn't trigger when OS prompts for it (for example, extra auth in Google Chrome) but usually works fine and can easily be backed up by PIN.

Why is this even being sold?

It gets too hot and the fans are too loud. The battery life is awful as well. It is light but being Intel based it just doesn't really work. The software is a bit intrusive. Compared to a Macbook Pro this feels like 10+ year old technology. I totally regret buying this because the used market is non-existent.

Certainly, this was designed as a gaming laptop that runs high-end games without compromising system stability and performance as long as Windows, drivers, BIOS, games and applications are updated. Additionally, while accessing games, please ensure this laptop has access to an established router and internet service is working properly since poor and unstable internet connection will definitely affect system speed and performance. If these steps were performed to no avail, please try to run a diagnostics or optimization test using the "My ASUS" utility software or application. We do understand your concern about the thermal and fan noise issues. It is normal for laptop, with the same hardware configuration and regardless of the manufacturer, to generate more heat than normal while under heavy load especially during gaming, WINDOWS Update and antivirus scan. When system resource utilization is high, this will generate more heat than normal and tends to trigger the fan to spin at full throttle. Please ensure the air ventilations are free from obstructions in order to have an efficient air flow for better heat dissipation. While gaming, please ensure no resource hungry applications are running in the background, this will definitely spike the temperature. The heat or temperature does decreases or normalizes once system resource utilization goes down. We recommend connecting the AC adapter while gaming since the battery drains faster than normal.

Portable gaming without bulk

Battery life would have been 5 stars if it weren't for the recent snapdragon releases.

Seriously, why does Asus have to use MediaTek. The thing kept disconnecting and not holding a connection. I replaced mine with an Intel Wi-Fi chip and it works fine now.
