Wonderful laptop with incredible power! It gets the job done . . Gaming, work or even just watching movies!

The ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 has really been quite impressive to use. So far, we are really liking the design, specifications and performance of this computer. Out of the box the look is quite sleek with an aluminum, CNC chassis that has a top cover with their very unique slash light. This lighter and thinner G14 feels really well built and solid. This redesigned 14” laptop is a nice size for a multitude of uses and at .63” thin and 3.31 lbs we’ve found it a great balance of size and weight. This new G14 laptop is quite versatile for a multitude of uses from simply browsing to coding to gaming. Gaming performance was quite good with some warmth to the laptop that is somewhat noticeable when using macro keys, but vent placement has been modified from the prior model and most often gamers will be utilizing a gaming mouse for best comfort. Ports are plentiful and their placement is good with them being further back. Charging ports are available on the left side of the laptop and the battery brick runs smaller which is nice. Memory is not upgradeable so one should consider if paying the additional dollars for going from 16gb to 32 GB is worthwhile. I’d opt for trying to catch a sale at some point and go with the 32GB version. The look and design of the keyboard is great. Keys are very readable and I appreciate the standard layout Use of the keyboard and trackpad is quite comfortable. The backlit keys are a great feature, but do not light the secondary functions. Keyboard lighting can be modified to one color for all keys. I like the feel and responsiveness of the trackpad also. A standout feature of the G14 is the OLED screen. What an improvement over other laptops we’ve owned in terms of the fast refresh rate, high resolution and color accuracy. Six speakers with improved woofers make the sound quality quite acceptable for a 14” laptop, yet those looking for more bass are best to opt for other speaker options. The 1080 webcam works well and the laptop features Windows Hello recognition. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the ASUS ROG Zephryus G14 and gamers especially will appreciate the great specs included in the AMD Ryzen processor, NVIDIA graphics and noticeable improvements over the prior model. It’s a lighter, thinner, high spec’d model with an outstanding OLED 3K screen. The Platinum White is a really nice-looking laptop which I think ASUS did a great job designing.

I dont like the fact that people on constantly comparing this to the razer blade 14 because once you hold the blade 14, you understand the price premium. While the alluminum cutouts are decently strong, there are components that are still plastic. Namely the hinges. the back side keeps emitting creaking sound whenever one opens/closes the laptop, and I have tried this with the display models, and 4 differen units.

Love the speed that all my apps use. There is the speed plus the space that I have available.

Bought this but ultimately returned it as it just wasn't worth the price and having to take care of the OLED display would just annoy me.

Other than the soldered ram, this is a great laptop. I love the form factor and sleek refresh from 2023. Performance took a hit, but for the games I play, it doesnt matter. I needed something more portable and the OLED screen is beautiful.

I've been using thsi laptop for about a week. It's very impressive for it's small size and has not disappointed me. It's a portable solution for computer gaming and has served well for office type tasks.

The best laptop I have ever owned! 14" screen is amazing and not small at all for gaming as I had expected, was going to get the G16 but love the white color and the extra 16GB of RAM.

I bought this laptop at the end of June (it is now November 1st) and the laptop has already failed me. 1. It is stuck in an auto-shut off loop. My guess is that it is overheating but I am not sure. I can't start the computer anymore. 2. The rubber bumper at the bottom completely deformed and stretched and is hanging off. I can't glue it back on as it is now longer than it used to be. These are two nasty problems for a relatively new laptop. I am deeply concerned with the build quality and long term performance.

Is an excellent upgrade from my former laptop. The graphics are great for game play.

I mean just from its description your expectations go up. The ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 14" OLED EK 120 Hz Gaming Laptop with AMD Ryzen 9, RTX 4070, 32 GB RAM, 1 TB SSD is a beast modern technology for sure. Out of the box, I was just how light the whole thing was. I have owned previous generations of ASUS ROG Zephyrus and they are not typically the lightest ones on the market. It weighs around 3.3 lbs which to me is just an incredible feat of engineering from ASUS. I really love the design as well. It does not scream gaming laptop. It just feels incredibly sleek and well-built. ASUS really is appealing to a broader market with this design. Even my wife who generally despises using my gaming laptops and computers was impressed by how good it looked. In terms of actual usage, the screen is just gorgeous. The OLED speaks for itself. It gets fairly bright. The max refresh rate of 120 Hz is more than enough in my opinion for what this laptop is used for. The keyboard feels great to type on. The touchpad is great. ASUS didn't cheap out on ports which is in line with its previous Zephyrus models. In terms of performance, it definitely performs well. It puts the the RTX 4070 to work. One thing to remember, is that in this form factor, there are some compromises made for thermals. I believe the power limit is lower. You will not be running 1800P games at 120 Hz but you can still have a decent portable gamer. With the form factor, I do think the bottom can get pretty hot at times but overall with everyday use, I had no issues whatsoever. All in all, I think the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 this year is an incredible feat and helps set the bar.

Look I always hear horror stories about ASUS products and yes I've owned other ASUS items before from pc parts to monitors. And I bought this thinking, its okay only people with bad experiences write reviews, I'm sure mine won't have problems! But this laptop has truly been nothing but a headache for me since I purchased it 7 months ago. Some issues have been fixed with BIOS updates, but still those took way too long. As I write this I'm currently waiting for my laptop to be RMA'd because of motherboard issues. But getting to this step was a pain in the A as ASUS and BestBuy will constantly try to pass you off to eachother with automated chats so they don't have to spend the time or money to fix it. To get a real person to help me I had to call a completely random ASUS department and demand their supervisor connect me with the RMA department.
