    Not a great experience out of the box. Blue screen after first boot. Gets hot quickly. Keyboard lights flicker and don’t stay on. When charging via usb-c, it introduces a 10-30 second input delay for trackpad and keystrokes. Returned this one.

    I ordered this laptop just over a week ago. After reading several other reviews, I decided it was important to confirm I had the correct video card. I ordered the RTX 4070 and, unfortunately, I received an RTX 4060. I also ordered 32GB of RAM and received 16GB. Unacceptable and extremely frustrating.

    Missing proprietor power supply

    Laptop is great. Unfortunately I had to ship it to a relative house. When we opened the box 1 month later the power supply was missing so we are out side the return window. You would think a proprietary charger that you can’t buy would come in the box.

    Thunderbolt is a no go.

    As is wi the all AMD computers, there is no thunderbolt, only USB4. It says it is capable of display output, but only at 1080p at 60hrtz. Don’t buy the AMD version, spend the little extra for the intel version if you need thunderbolt.

    I bought the G14 32GB a month ago. It freezes regularly even when i have one tab open on chrome with not other programs running. Please avoid this laptop. please do not buy. I wish I could record it freeze and post the proof here.

    This laptop got raving reviews and the Bestbuy employee was telling me about how good it was for the deal that they offered. It stopped working after 3 hours, the screen went completly black. I tried turning it off and back on, tried to do a soft reset and that didnt work. For a $1800 laptop it sure didnt come close to meeting my expectations.

    I order this laptop and got the defective product and on top of that wasnt offered any support fro the replacement of the product. The customer agents stop responding after sometime without providing any solid resolution. Quite dissapointed with the service. I had to talk to 3 different agents and explain the whole situation again and again without any resolution.

    I got sent a faulty computer, which was happily accepted for refund, however after I got refunded the full amount, the same computer open box excellent condition is a 100$ more expensive. The best buy worker said nothing can be done about it. Disappointing

    I had 2 separate problems in less than a week with the second being a blue screen of death forcing a complete restart of the computer. Having to factory reset a brand new computer is completely unacceptable.

    Device is non-upgradable, everything is soldered down which means if one thing goes, you have to buy a brand new laptop again. For $2k, it should be somewhat fixable, save yourself the pain and get a framework

    Terrible laptop. Broke within one day. Screen just randomly turned off and never could get it back on. Tried a game and it dragged and made lines everywhere. No way it’s a gaming laptop not even for school or business. Terrible.

    Recently purchased the system. Wont bore everyone with the details but the RTX4070 visibly artifacts in games. Loud crinkly sound coming from the right hinge when opening the system. Unsure if I'm hearing the flex cables or not. Completely unacceptable for a notebook this expensive.

    I have to say, Asus wasn’t always the direction I turned for gaming computers, but the more I’ve used them the more I love them. And what’s an added bonus with this G14 is that even though it was designed for gaming, it’s much lighter and more portable than a lot of gaming laptops on the market, which makes it way more competitive in my opinion because it’s just a good all around computer on top of being a gaming computer. At this point, I feel like Asus pretty much as it down when it comes to the combo of a good processor, graphics card, display, and other important gaming specs. They know how to give you good bang for your buck without compromising on the overall gaming experience. I can see where sometimes I’d want a bigger screen since 14” is pushing it on how small want to go for immersive gaming. But it’s no big deal these days to plug into a dock with a larger screen and keyboard and mouse. The good thing about G14 though is it gives you those options. I saw where a couple of people have commented on overheating. In my experience, you just need to change your battery and fan settings. Asus gives you a LOT of options and if you just go with the default, that may not meet your needs. Personally I’m loving the 2024 G14 and have found myself using it more and more as just my day to day laptop on top of using it for my gaming needs.
