I think its related to keyboard. When backlight is off, coil whine is awful. When its on the dimmest setting, its really awful. On the last two settings, its better but still AWFUL. No way I'm dealing with this for three years. Next, the ASUS software thats preinstalled causes the computer to freeze, atleast on my system. Here is the proof. First, note that I reset this PC three times in the system settings and applied all Windows updates all three times. The issue never went away. Second, I then reinstalled Windows directly from Microsoft's website with a USB and boom, no more software issues. Problem solved right? Yes and no Yes, now the computer is super stable. No, because now I have two buttons on the computer that have no purpose because they're designed to be used with Asus specific software. There's no way I'm going to look at this keyboard for the next three years and have two silly buttons that don't do anything. Also, I'm not going to trouble shoot the 20 different Asus programs that came preinstalled with this thing to figure out what's breaking the system. That's not my job and I'm not going to wear down a computer I own trying to fix a problem that should've been handled upstream.

I'm sorry to hear that you are unsatisfied with your laptop. That is certainly not the kind of experience we want any of our customers to have. Can you take a video of the keyboard coil whine? I'd like to investigate that for quality control. Regarding your software problems, did you receive any error codes when the machine froze? Was it during gaming or light computing? Have you made any software adjustments other than factory resetting Windows, such as updating the BIOS or VGA drivers? The graphics are also much better. It is great quality and high tech yet very easy to use. This laptop is also good for internet searches and down loading my photographs.

Mainly play world of warships and Fortnite. Works great for regular computing as well. Fans do get loud when gaming but if your wearing a headset you shouldn’t notice it.

Fits perfectly, but windows 10 S is a little too pushy for our taste. Don’t like Microsoft telling us what we can run and what we can’t. Too much “Big Brother” in that.

The only reason I purchased this one over other laptops is because it didn’t say it was the MAX Q.. Called Bestbuy to get help and ask them to update their site they said just return it which I am for the MSI that’s $1099 and had a I7 that’s 15% slower but a RTX (non max Q) 2060 if you’re reading this do your research that’s a much better computer specially for gaming and the battery life is on par.

Worked great at first, then it didnt.

Then it wouldnt turn on. Took it to best buy for the warranty, and 7 weeks later they are still trying to fix it. 7 weeks.... A bad battery and a bad motherboard is what im told, so i guess there is some questionable quality in it, but the customer service and repair time will take so long it is outdated. i will update this if and or when i get my machine back.

My only real complaint is that the laptop will completely freeze while on the charger which is a bit confusing to me. If there is a fix that would be awesome I've had the laptop for less than a week so I would really like to avoid more freezes.
