    Good for high-medium level gaming.

    I got this for general use and gaming (primarily FFXIV). It's working very well for me. There are occasional technical hiccups, the keyboard occasional won't work after waking from sleep requiring a restart is the only one that comes to mind though. It stays nice and cool most of the time due to the great ventilation. The clock presets are great for when you want get some extra juice for your games or want to keep the computer relatively cool while playing games that are less intensive. Terrific option for the price as long as your not expecting a high-end PC experience.

    Fastest laptop on market. Period. I have a 2018 Alienware top tier model and this blows it away in every possible way from movies, games, battery, and lets not even talk about my compile times...... There is NO reason not to buy this vs ANY other laptop on market.

    NO. Spend the extra 500 on something else and be happier in the long run. The good reviews you see on this page are indicative of people who've had the computer for one month. I judge this laptop harshly because I've bought and experienced "gaming" laptops that were much more versatile and functional than this one. AMD Ryzen processor will come with issue after issue. Unlike earlier ASUS gaming laptops, this one will deliberately punish you for doing anything other than games. My ASUS gaming laptop from 2016 almost flawlessly runs things like Premiere Pro , Photoshop, Nuke. This thing on the other hand- wow. Complete utter failure. The graphics card has a high amount of memory but unlike earlier iterations of GeForce, it is designed in such a way that it cannot function outside of one purpose. The drivers are completely wrong for anything outside of video games. Now you may be like "but it's a gaming laptop". There are a A LOT of people like me out there-VFX students that want something they can get away with doing smaller assignments on once and every now and then when the lab is closed. That's probably the situation that 50% of the people looking at this computer are in. If this applies to you, DON'T GET THIS COMPUTER. I'm not computer illiterate and I have never experienced anything like this. DO NOT GET THIS COMPUTER FOR REMOTE CLASSES. Lets say you are just using it for games. This thing is so loud it's ridiculous. The computer sounds like a room with a server in it. I'm careful with my computer. Within weeks, the USB ports are loose and hard drives plug and unplug themselves pretty much. STAY AWAY. Cheaply made and not versatile.

    Great overall laptop Lightweight,thin and with good battery life. Great performance in multi tasking. Good Value for money NIce build quality DO NOT USE WINDOWS BATTERY SAVER. ALSO CHANGE BATTERY CHARGING PROFILE TO 100% CHARGE to get MAX battery. To get full brightness TURN OFF VERI BRIGHT in AMD Radeon Graphics control panel Cons smudges on lid downward speakers are not my thing No Webcam Not a hardcore gamer laptop instead a more balanced laptop

    Froze and crashed now it will not boot

    Purchased this laptop in may 2020 it is now august 2020 I really loved the laptop it ran perfect with all my music programs and did what it was suppose too.. however the other day I loaded up fl studio and the laptop completely froze and became unresponsive to any keyboard shortcut and keys such as brightness you name it.. so I shut it off holding the power button (didn't know what else to do) but now when I try to boot it, it freezes at the logo screen and becomes unresponsive the only command it accepts booting up is f2 but even while in this menu nothing you do fixes the issue. Not only that I spent all day trying to contact somebody to help and by the time I did they couldnt even help me fix the product and said I need to bring it to best buy... if the product gets fixed i may change my review but as it stands i am out of buiness until further notice please get it together

      It's regrettable to hear you've encountered issues with the unit not being able to boot. This is not the type of experience we want any of our customers to have. It seems as if you were able to boot into the BIOS menu, did you try to reset the BIOS back to default settings or try to perform a hard reset?


      If not, please attempt the steps below:

      1. Unplug the charger
      2. Press and hold the power button for 1 full minute
      3. Plug-in only the charger and then press the power button and allow it to start up normally

      BIOS Reset
      1. Push the power button and tap on "F2"
      2. Once in the BIOS, tap "F9" and select "Yes"
      3. Then tap on "F10" and select "Yes" (to save settings and restart)

    Huge waste of money- keep looking!

    I’ve had this bad boy for about 2 months and for the first month or so this thing ran smooth and was such a treat to have. After about a month or two of light use (playing World of Warcraft watching twitch) it started to barely be able to do either. Now it runs like trash. It takes about 3 minutes for chrome to open, Spotify puts the computer at a crippling state, and it just really can’t do anything. My MacBook that was 8 years old ran better than this. I’m not even doing anything new or taxing on the computer (with all apps open it’s at 20% cpu usage). I won’t/don’t need to go into details because everyone else already has but in short; It will run great for a couple weeks then turn into an overpriced hunk of junk that will leave you 1200 bucks up a creek.

    Worst laptop ever

    This laptop was an absolute waste of money. Asus continues to disappoint with poor/non-existent quality control. Avoid at all costs you are seriously better off with a Chromebook.
