The computer meets my expectations. The display is beautiful but very prone to scratches. It's a quieter computer compared to other competitors. The materials are of very good quality. For some reason, the silent mode works better for photo and video editing, and in moderation, it's perfect for certain situations. I recommend it if you're looking for power and portability.

I absolutely am in love with my new Asus ROG Zephyrus 16’ laptop. 32gb ram and 1tb storage. It’s super fast and has a beautiful display. The battery last me a solid 10 hours I would say between charges. Has everything I wanted and the light strip on the top view is a nice touch. Highly recommend. The staff at the Best Buy location I bought it from was also top notch! Shoutout to Morgan for being so patient with me and helping me out!

Stunning laptop. Yea the price is high but this is an incredible machine. The display is gorgeous. OLED makes a huge difference for you hard visual advocates. The best thing about the guy is that it makes the most of its internal components and gives exceptional gaming performance all while only weighing 5 pounds. Its cooling system is premium although still recommend using a cooling pad for gaming. Every device that puts out serious energy is going to create heat so yes it can get hot but the design of this guy makes it where you can still have this thing in your bear skin lap at peak temperatures and be fine. It has a premium build all around and puts my iMac to shame. 16 inch screen is a perfect size and the device can be used as a console just by connecting to a compatible monitor or TV. Great job ASUS. Thank you

I’m a civil engineer and this ASUS ROG Zephyrus G16 works great both on site and in the office. It runs AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D and structural software smoothly, and the RTX GPU speeds up 3D views and renderings. The OLED screen is sharp for reviewing plans, it’s light enough to carry to site visits, and the 1 TB SSD handles large projects easily. Fans get a bit loud under heavy load, but overall it’s a fast, reliable and very capable work laptop.

I will say I love this Laptop. It does run very hot to touch but I purchased a cooling pad from Best Buy to help ensure everything stays cool. This laptop has incredible graphics and the built in speakers are much better than I expected. The OLED screen is a massive win with its clarity and eye catching colors that even someone like me that usually games on a large monitor due to my vision helps me see and compete in matches with the smaller laptop screen. I gave this 5 stars because there wasn't a 4.5 option. I only docked it by.5 due to the heat which is an easy fix.

This is my 2nd gaming laptop and my 1st high-end laptop. My eyes were really into the Lenovo Legion laptops but they don’t have it in store so I ended up with this model. I like the minimalist design it feels like a mac, feels premium. Loving the screen, tried playing Ghost of Tsushima and Black Myth Wukong and both look so good (everything looks good). Specs and performance, I haven’t played long enough to feel the drop in performance (like heat throttle).

Before you read the title and look at the price and think "HUH?", allow me to clarify - this is CHEAP..ly made. The price is anything from it. Funny enough, the price was actually a couple hundred dollars lower until certain government things went into play and it landed where it is today. Bureaucracy aside, this thing runs HOT. I don't mean "well, duh, it's a gaming laptop" hot, I mean you can turn it on, leave it flat on a desk and allow the vents (raised by speedbumps on the bottom chassis) to do their thing, open Steam (not a game, just the launcher), and hear the jet engines fire up. Just downloading a game will push the CPU enough to need a fan on in the room - that's ridiculous for a laptop. It comes pre-installed with all your favorite ASUS bloatware - MyASUS, Armoury Crate, AURA Sync, etc. The Windows install itself takes forever, oddly enough, coupled in with any updates and ASUS registration screens - it took a solid 45 minutes before I was actually able to USE the laptop. The OLED screen leaves a lot to be desired if you've used an actual OLED monitor - both less-than-vibrant images and mediocre refresh rate unless you bypass the recommended power settings and/or leave it plugged in all the time. At that point, you might as well invest in a PC - one at the price of this laptop will hang around for a few years, actually. It's not all bad, though. The speakers are fairly balanced. While annoying as bloatware, the lighting options are fun (although the cover light effects seem entirely pointless). Although the keys themselves are a tough sell for a GAMING laptop, they are smooth to the touch and at least responsive. The trackpad, on the other hand, is a whole other beast with how it is TOO responsive - at some point I felt like I was playing a theremin with how it was responding to just the air between it and my palm. 3 hours on balanced mode off charger? Not bad, but always feels bad on these "gaming" laptops. ASUS products serve me well in my custom-built gaming PC but take factors like government taxes, the price bloat of RTX 50s, the portability of a laptop, and ASUS seemingly cheaping out on thermals, and this is not one of their proudest moments.

This thing is a beast. I have no complaints about game performance. Temps can get high (80-90 CPU, 70-80 GPU) but that is normal for a laptop. When on battery life there is no fan noise and it lasts quite long (although I haven't done a full test, just looked at wattage draw). Also, the speakers are some of the best I have heard. Definitely opt for gHelper over armory crate, it is just better. The only complaint I have is some noise around the hinges, but that doesn't warrant it losing a star.

I got it for college, but found the fan noise and battery life worse than other options. It’s amazing for gaming, especially for how thin it is, but I decided I’d sacrifice gaming perfomance for better battery life and fan noise.

    Awful QC & firmware

Had to return this item a few times to get one that actually worked -- had some that stuttered every few moments, black screened, and/or overheated. So annoying but I went through a few exchanges for the hardware (its a nicely built laptop -- best on market). QC and software sucks though. Wasted hours of my time (and my local Best Buy's) to get a good one. when it doesn't stutter stutter (in optimus mode with asus armoury create uninstalled), I've set 3D Mark records. The intel chip surprised me, not bad at all. The 5070 ti is great. However, back to the bad. Asus is a joke when it comes to their software and firmware team. See report from Zephkek on GitHub, where he absolutely dismantles the awful firmware design team from Asus. https://github.com/Zephkek/Asus-ROG-Aml-Deep-Dive Asus, do better! 1 guy figured out what a 0.5 TRILLION COMPANY COULDN'T. Shocking. Avoid this laptop if you want something that works outta the box. If you have it, change to Optimus mode and look up G-Helper alternative to Armoury crate.

This laptop is nearly perfect. It's compact yet powerful with a stunning display and once you install G helper you'll have the best management software in the world. The GPU is capable of playing basically every game on high settings at native resolution and with 12 gigs of 99% of games will run buttery smooth.

If you want a gaming laptop that isn't cringe aesthetically this or the G14 are your best choices. The performance will not disappoint and the screen is amazing. I have a desktop with a 4090 and I can enjoy gaming on either equally. The one drawback is the battery which gives me between 3 and 4 hours of watching youtube at max brightness.

Probably the best thin and light "gaming" laptop you can purhcase. I would not call this a gaming laptop given it's form factor, portability, and complete lack of gaming appreance. This is more of a Macbook like laptop that can also game. Nothing even comes close to this thing in terms of form factor and performance.

Bucks the trend of the traditional RBG BRO gaming laptop. Looks professional and minimal, while having great functionality. I would classify this as the best gaming laptop out now, bar none. The only thing on par would be the Razer Blade. I appreciate the low level of Windows bloatware that Asus ships with. Great performance with AAA games, and it doesn't break a sweat doing it. Maximum power savings through GHelper allowed me to get almost 9hrs of battery life, which is fantastic. This thing is truly the best of both worlds as a commuter laptop. Unfortunately, the entire experience is let down by buggy hardware & crashes. After getting everything installed and set-up it started crashing multiple times with no real reason. I tried a brand new installation of Windows 11 and it was no better. I hope that Asus does better. History shows that the 2023 Zephyrus series had the same issues out of the box and they eventually fixed them... Still, ultimately I returned this, because I can't accept so many problems with usability for such an expensive device. It's a shame because I really, really like this laptop.
