It’s a beautiful and very powerful laptop. It runs every game I play in high settings, and the build quality is amazing. The OLED screen makes the experience even better. The wifi issues people were complaining about it’s just a drivers issue, download the newest wifi driver from the ASUS website and you’re good to go.

I purchased the Zephyrus G16 because it had what I needed. Mostly, however, it was that 240hz OLED. I love OLED displays. This one is no different, aside from it just being really good. Good performance and smoothness. I like the large, smooth touchpad. I like the build quality, I think the light bar on the back is fun. I like the speakers. It has all the ports I'd consider using so I'll probably never have to plug in a dock. Keyboard is taking a bit of getting used to and the font could be better but it feels nice and it's quiet. Overall, this laptop is perfect for anything I personally would use it for and the display is a showstopper.

Excellent build quality, speakers sound amazing, the screen is nice, but I like more my HP Spectre screen, text looks better in that one, color are really good, I bought this model because of the CPU, AMD but sadly still have problems with bluetooth in Linux. Overall excellent and happy.

I purchased the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G16 laptop from Peru through a family member in the U.S., trusting the information provided by a Best Buy sales agent via chat. I specifically asked if the RAM could be upgraded, and the agent confidently said yes—even claiming it supported up to 128 GB. That information was false: the RAM is soldered and cannot be upgraded. As a result, I spent extra money buying 64 GB of RAM that I now can’t use. I was also promised a screen protector that never arrived. I reached out to customer support and, after weeks of back-and-forth, was offered minimal compensation considering the circumstances. Since I don’t live in the U.S., returning the laptop wasn’t an option. Despite all the frustration, misleading information, and financial loss, Best Buy only offered a $150 refund and dismissed further resolution. I trusted Best Buy for its reputation, but this experience has been deeply disappointing. I just hope the laptop doesn’t suddenly break down—because after this, I worry they won’t honor the warranty either.

Just wanted to start by saying this laptop fit all of my needs and then some. I don't usually leave reviews but wanted to for this laptop since it only had 3 stars because of a lot of reviews complaining about WiFi issues and screen tearing. I had the Wifi issue pop up once when I first bought it but all of that is fixed as soon as you update Windows and your drivers. No issues since then. In fact, the wifi card in this laptop surprisingly seems to pick up my wifi signal much quicker than my other devices, its been lightning fast and has great range. I have a pretty beefy PC setup with a 4080 ti GPU and 64 GB RAM that I use for "heavy duty" gaming, so I will add a bit of a disclaimer that I bought this laptop primarily to play some of my games portably; most of the casual day-to-day games I like to play aren't super graphically intensive - but for casual, portable play and not worrying about maxing out every single setting, this laptop gets the job done flawlessly for me and runs the majority of my games smoothly and at really high frames. 16 GB RAM is more than enough as long as you aren't running a lot of background processes. The screen is beautiful. I have a 4k OLED 240hz monitor for my PC, and you can definitely tell the difference between 3k and 4k, but it still looks fantastic, especially for a laptop. I was honestly surprised how fast this thing runs, it's a beast. It's perfect for cross-functionality between portable gaming and getting work done. The laptop's design is really sleek. I have a white aesthetic I go for and it fits the aesthetic perfectly. The light on the back is a cool addition and looks unique. The battery life is OK, about what I expected. I get about 3 hours of use while gaming before I need to plug it up again. Pretty solid for a budget gaming laptop. Some reviews mention the laptop gets hot - and it does underneath, but compared to laptops I had years ago, it's not bad at all and doesn't concern me. One thing to note: I bought this laptop for $500 off when it was on sale at $1400. I believe they were running a sale for it due to some of the review bombs. At its standard retail price of $1900, I would probably say is a little steep and there may be options out there with better specs for less. However, if you find this on sale again, or if you're willing to dish out a little more cash for a sleeker design, then this laptop is an excellent option.

Laptop is great for gaming but the area above the keyboard gets uncomfortably warm averaging around 119°F. So if you are looking to get this laptop just be aware that you will have to give it some time to cool down before closing the lid. While on the topic of downsides the hot air is shot straight down not far away from the intake of fresh air, I understand that it was made to be thin but this feels like an oversight on the creation of this laptop as all of the hot air of the laptop gets shot straight into your lap. The final 2 major gripes I have with this laptop is that by default it uses the integrated gpu unless the laptop thinks you are doing something intensive enough to warrant using the rtx 4060 that you paid to have included. Luckily there is a workaround for that but the fact that I have to manually change anything is a small headache. Finally we come to the most disappointing part of this laptop if you are buying at full price; the ram. It is not like the ram itself is bad, however there not being an option to upgrade the ram in anyway, is the most frustrating part of this laptop. 16GB of ram for a $2,000 laptop is already mildly insulting. Then toss in the fact that even if you wanted to pay extra to get more you can’t unless you ordered it with upgraded ram. However, the only way I have seen to do that was to buy the upgraded skew here on bestbuy that comes with the higher tier gpu and intel cpu. This laptop has a ton of issues and unless you are getting a killer deal like I did where it was basically half off in open box, you should probably avoid this laptop. I am giving it a relatively good review because: 1- I got a great price on it so I can look past the many issues of this laptop. But more importantly: 2- My previous gaming laptop died some time ago, and I have been on the hunt for a new one and that can play most of the games I play on my desktop at 1440p. While also just being able to launch most of the games I played. I cannot tell you the amount of laptops I have purchased and returned up until this point because they just would not open a game that I play fairly often. Now for a few of the good things. First I would like to say is that ASUS support was amazing this laptop had been originally setup under someone else’s warranty account, but that got fixed within 24hrs of reaching out. Secondly the laptop has done everything I have asked of it even if it is a little warm at times. Finally the display, this display is among some of the best OLED displays I have seen it doesn’t do many things well but you can tell that they did an amazing job at the display and performance(for the most part). All of this being said if you aren’t in the same position I was or you aren’t getting a 50% off or better deal on this whether open box or not, do not buy this laptop.

This variant of the G16 is miles and miles better than the intel variant. Runs cooler like much cooler. No thermal throttling. Absolutely silent in balanced mode. 9 watt discharge with buttery smooth processing even at lower wattages. Battery can last close to 9-10 hours with great performance. Multicore score is desktop class. Single core is also a beast. 16gb was enough for my needs so no complaints there. Honestly for $1400 this laptop is an absolute steal and then some. Played c2077 yesterday for an hours with DLSS at 1440p got a solid 60fps with quality settings. CS2 at 4:3 stretched is 240+ fps with only 5ms frametime buttery smooth. Valorant and league of legends also super smooth. Screen is the best coming from MBP m1 pro. ALSO big screen is better if you arent hooking up to external monitor. Anyways.. need tk raise the ratings of this laptop as 2.7 stars DOES NOT DO IT JUSTICE. IT’S 5 stars for me.

Very slick looking doesnt look like a gaming laptop, the keyboard lay out isnt the best (the keys arent in the usaully spots of a laptop but it runs the best as a person who has owned multiple gaming laptops big and small brand this laptop not only performs well, and looks great it also doesnt have loud fans. I believe laptop to be 4.5/5.0 stars I only give it -5 half a star due to the keyboard layout. I had no issues with wifi connections like how other reviewer previously stated. Truly is worth the money

Build quality is fantastic. The OLED screen is crisp and clear. I had the WiFi issues some reviews talk about but updating drivers fixed the issue. Had the computer set to sleep when lid closed, despite this I opened my backpack to a furnace. Took 10 min with a fan blowing on it to get it to come back to life. Battery life is pretty sub par with no gaming just light school work. Probably better options out there.

Overall it is has a very sleek profile, very fast Wi-Fi speeds, and fantastic OLED screen. I did wind up returning mine for a slightly better model because I needed more RAM but I was very happy with it.

I don't have anything to complain about this laptop. Wifi works well, battery life is great, and the screen is beautiful.

I love this laptop, except for the heat (w/ cooling mat) when gaming/programming and non-upgradable RAM. I am exchanging it for the newer 32GB 5070Ti. There was not a 32GB G16 available when I purchased, but was misinformed that the RAM was upgradable- it is not. 16GB is not enough for a gaming laptop. It will also be 2TB with no 1TB choice, so I hope the graphics and performance justify this significant price point of the new 5070Ti G16. Flexibility is important to me and this is my first ASUS laptop, so it was a bummer. Time will tell whether the value is there or not, regarding performance, battery life over time, and durability. Perhaps due to the high performance, but I do find myself having to charge it more often than expected. With that, the charging is easy and reasonably fast…but it is also still new. Portability is great and I LOVE the port options, including SS card slot (not on G14). I could use one extra USB 3.0 slot because of having to use the cooling mat, but it is not a dealbreaker. If you are not gaming, regularly programming, or video editing, then this is phenomenal and the 16GB would be okay. I will update once I’ve used my upgrade. I know it is not common with gaming laptops, but I miss TouchScreen and tablet conversion options.

Great Laptop, one of the best displays I have ever seen. Great value for money. But has some screen flicker and heating issues.

It’s a bit pricey but an incredible lap top for work and gaming especially how light it is for easy travel. It has some good hardware in it but is way to expensive for what it is but still runs most games and heavy hitting programs perfectly

Perfect portable gaming laptop. The latest Ryzen ai processor is very powerful but still efficient. With DLSS Rtx 4060 is enough for playing aaa games smoothly.

This laptop is a piece of art. Sound quality is superb. The glowing light on atart up is quite creative. I sat it beside my latest macbook pro 16 and didn't feel like this thing is inferior. It's a 16 gig machine so can't quite compare but it's way more than what i need it for. The wifi exists. But it's an easy fix. Start the machine without plugging in anything to the usb port. If you did that already, just reset the machine. Then plug in the ethernet cable a through a system update. Next restart would recove the wifi.
