Pros: Gorgeous screen, decent performance, super solid build, surprisingly good speakers Cons: It gets so hot that you can't put it on your lap

This laptop is basically built like a Mac, all aluminum thin, sleek, modern but runs Windows of course and can game! These new i9 Ultra's are finally a step in the right direction they can actually last close to 9hrs on light online use, but can crank out power for heavy productivity and gaming. This laptop is a Jack of all traits but master at none there are laptops that are slimmer, lighter, & more efficient as well as laptops that are more powerful but none that strike the balance that this one does. The cherry on top is the beautiful OLED display no game or movie has looked better than on this butter smooth, ripping fast, gorgeous 2560x1600 .03ms 240HZ display. This laptop is a great everyday laptop and easy to travel with it thin and light design also applies to it included 200w power supply.

The laptop is amazing. for a first time gaming pc, it’s amazing. i love it. it works so good. the graphics look great. the sound quality is amazing. i love my laptop. the only thing is you have to have it plugged in but that is typical for gaming laptops.

The design is really nice, it feels like something expensive but performance wise is a total disappointment. There is a serious overheating issue, to the point that the OLED display starts developing white spots where the heat exhaust is located, and overall the laptop gets really hot doing nothing, 75 on idle is crazy high, will go to 95-100 while under stress. The RAM usage is another bad thing about this laptop, using 7-8 Gb of memory just by running windows, I've tried both W10 and W11 and I got the same RAM usage. The Asus driver is the equivalent of Frankenstein for softwares, glitches, the UI is just terrible and nonresponsive. Another drawback is the lack of an internet port and on top of that they throw in the sh#ttiest Wi-Fi card possible so even if you have all the power to run games in optimal conditions you will still be fck by the internet connectivity. If you don't care about the OLED (which is very nice) I would advise to get something else as there are better options in this price range if you are willing to give up on the display.

I’ve been using the Zephyrus G14 for a bit now, and I’m really happy with it. The performance is amazing — everything feels smooth, whether I’m gaming, coding, or just doing everyday stuff. It’s also super lightweight, which makes it easy to carry around, and the build quality feels premium. The only thing I noticed is that the battery drains pretty fast, especially when I’m doing anything heavy. It’s not a dealbreaker, but definitely something to keep in mind. Other than that, the screen looks great, the keyboard feels nice, and the laptop stays fast even when the fans kick in. Overall, it’s a solid laptop and I’m really glad I bought it.

Pros: Amazing performance. Smooth gameplay. Light weight. Easy to carry. Good display. Cons: Heating issues within 30 - 45 mins of gameplay of Counter Strike GO 2.0 Armory crate uses a lot of memory and slows the stuff.

This is an amazing laptop. I got it for $1400 (with tax $1500) and it’s the biggest steal ever. Even if you can’t get that price, this laptop is so powerful, and just awesome. The battery doesn’t last longer than 3 hours but that’s to be expected with such a powerful laptop. The screen quality is out of this world. I’ve never seen a screen so high quality and you will notice it if you buy this thing. Seriously it’s a beast and you’ll probably never have to upgrade for multiple years so it’s a great buy!

Im a pc builder , gamer since nes days . I have a 4090 desktop but need a portable labtop for travel , or even if i want to be with my family in the living room . I will not go into specs as specs are listed , this is an amazing labtop once you fine tune it as performnace profiles dont align with armory crate and thats wny everyone posting bad reviewes . First install firmware 322 . Its a must to iron out majority of the bugs . Second unistall armory crate and my asus app . Once you do that install G-hleper . It will one free up your system ram as it doesnt use much its a exe file not an app . Once you do that you will be able to truly enjoy this machine . Also make sure you use not a labtop cooler as what most people dont know that this labtop thermal design is that it sucks air through the keyboard and vents out from the back , so you should blow air back to the system . Having said that best thing is do use a stand . Relative cheap invesment i get around 75-79 on the CPU in heavy gaming sessions and about 78-82 on the GPU . Yes this labtop will overheat if not tilted . The 95 watts TGP on this 4070 barely affects it if you setup Ghelper . I get around 6 to 7 hours on video playback , internet browsing etc on silent mode while on optimus . Higly recommend this labtop !!

I got this on sale. The build quality, screen and performance are fabulous. Fans run a little loud under heavy loud, but with headphones in you don't notice.

Great notebook in that sweet spot of some games and daily use. It gets very hot make sure your using it on a table or laptop cooler. The screen is so great, the keyboard is good, better than the HP OMEN counterpart. I was really surprised by the sound system. An all-around good laptop.

Beautiful graphics, and worked great for retail WoW, Fortnite, and some others. After using it for POE 2, it just couldn’t keep up. Had Geek Squad help me optimize it, and still had serious lag and freezes after. RAM is not upgradable like on old versions. You can use this and be very happy with most games.

Great first gaming laptop. Comparing to console im very happy I made the change. The customizing for each game is over the top. More than enough storage I have 5 AAA games on the laptop. The interface is easy to use. The big touchpad is more than enough. In turbo mode it isn’t terribly loud. Twice as quiet as I was expecting. I had a console that would wake the wife up when late night gaming. The wife only woke up once cause the screen was to bright. Which is saying something! 4070 graphic card is amazing. The 240hz screen makes gaming super smooth. 16 inch screen still fits in my backpack, but is so immersive when playing Games. 16GB is more than enough for playing games I would recommend this to any one very good bang for the buck.

The cooling is terrible and regularly reaches 85°C on max fan speed just watching videos with turbo mode. Can't run games I've played on laptops with worse specs and freezes frequently. The laptop is too thin and overheats easily with poor thermal paste. The OLED display is good and it has decent battery life.

The new G16 is not just a great gaming laptop, it’s a great laptop. I am totally blown away by the redesign. The speakers, keyboard, and trackpad, are finally on par or better (the keyboard at least) than a MacBook Pro. The screen is absolutely incredible. I’ve never gamed on an OLED and I am ruined because I don’t want to game on any other screen anymore. Even though it’s only 16”, I”d rather game on this than any other screen in my house. One great thing about it being so small is it’s able to sustain higher brightness levels in everyday tasks, unlike desktop OLED monitors. Another thing is the text clarity is great and a non-issue at this resolution and size. The only issue I had was the fans were constantly running no matter what I was doing, even in silent mode. Not very audible, but still, I expect a silent laptop if it’s in silent mode…I downloaded the third-party G-Helper program and changed the fan curve to turn on at slightly higher temps and that mostly solved the issue. Still, I think it could use a little tuning from the factory. Maybe the models with the better cooling performs better. Also, the build quality could be slightly more refined. There is no notch to put your finger in to open the laptop like on a MacBook, and the hinge is quite loose in comparison with some audible creaking. Still, these are minor nitpicks but something they could improve. All in all, it’s absolutely incredible. I no longer even want to use a MacBook, not when this has as good or better keyboard/trackpad/speakers/weight and definitely a better screen.

Love this laptop has been awesome for college, great battery and its thin and light for gaming on the go as well.

Screen was beautiful. The machine wasn't too heavy. What made me change from a G16 to a G14 ... 1. Standby battery life 2. Heat from the machine during normal/light task 3. Speaker/eletircal noise/pop coming from the unit 4. Unable to use 4TB NVMe In the end, if you get a flawless machine, you will enjoy it.

The closest to a "Gaming Macbook Pro." Excellent display, speakers, and build quality. Also, you can game with max settings without any problem
