runs hot! around 80 degress not gaming. but when gaming, it still hovers around 80. can't upgrade memory ram(soldered) only 2 usb-a slots no ethernet port still a good laptop. the sound is good OLED HDR! satisfied with purchase

If you’re looking for a gaming laptop this is not it. Just stay away from it. Sure the screen is incredible and the looks are beyond good. But, the performance for gaming in this machine just is not there. From the scorching hot body within minutes of gaming to the low frame rates in not even power hungry games makes this an expensive and loud web browser. Such a bummer. The laptop wanted to levitate with it’s three fans after just a few minutes of playing Balatro. Helldivers II turned it into a hellbomb ready to melt through my desk.

So far loving it--runs great, surprisingly light, and doesn't get too hot (though I did buy a cooling mat after reading others' reviews that it could run hot). Been playing a wide range of games to test it--played Baldur's Gate 3 on it for about an hour and a half last weekend and didn't have any framerate drops or performance issues. The touchpad is quite sensitive which I don't like, but I also use a mouse most of the time if I can. Definitely think I'll get my money's worth for this one!

Powerful, sleek looking gaming laptop. Initially used for a class to write large documents and create power points, it has a beautiful oled screen so i was worried about screen burn in with the stagnant text and graphics for that sort of productivity, but nope, screen showed a little bit but i suppose with newer oleds it leaves after a moment, always bounces back. Now used for gaming on the go, run’s everything easily and without needing to lower graphics. It got fairly hot and i do wish it had better cooling technology but that’s my only complaint. I resolved the issue by buying a cooling pad. I’d probably buy the same laptop again if i went back in time.

The cooling is terrible and regularly reaches 85°C on max fan speed just watching videos with turbo mode. Can't run games I've played on laptops with worse specs and freezes frequently. The laptop is too thin and overheats easily with poor thermal paste. The OLED display is good and it has decent battery life.

Nice laptop, beautiful screen, just runs way too hot for me. Running Core Temp after I started seeing jerkiness in Diablo 4, all cores hitting 95C with throttling; running Civ 6 fans would spin up and down constantly and same heat issues, sitting on a wood table or lap desk. I could have bought a cooling pad but at $1600 I wasn't thrilled with this. Also I wasn't crazy about all the fiddling trying to get gsync and screen settings right with all the automatic switching between onboard and discrete graphics even when plugged in. YMMV but this one wasn't for me however if you don't mind all that and want to get a cooling pad, it does have a great display I just don't know if it is taking full advantage of that GPU.

Love this laptop has been awesome for college, great battery and its thin and light for gaming on the go as well.

The closest to a "Gaming Macbook Pro." Excellent display, speakers, and build quality. Also, you can game with max settings without any problem

This laptop is a beast but with thinner design I wont expect it keeping cool. G helper is a good tool for any Zephyrus user because AC of Asus gonna heat up your laptop even I dont do anything. The oled screen is beautiful with 240hz display and last longer battery is what I want.

Great build quality, desktop level performance, amazing screen probably the best screen in any laptop but it’s lacking the battery duration to game without being plugged in. Even just browsing the web eats through battery.

It’s great! The display is great too! Fans get loud while playing. Would be better if RAM is upgradeable.

I would not call this a gaming laptop but a very good creative productivity laptop. Problem with windows will always be battery life. This PC no matter how much you optomize gets very very hot to the touch gaming. Its a beautiful machine though. Returned for a strix

It's a great device for users who want a portable device with some power. However it requires some tinkering in order for it to be worth while. I would recommend users of this device to get Quick CPU and adjust the Frequency scaling and Turbo boost amounts when in DC mode. I found that the computer stuttered when doing basic task. Put those numbers 20% and 60% respectively, made the microstutters go away. Also, I can't say it's an amazing computer because of ASUS's decision to make the RAM soldered on which means there is no upgrade path from 16 gigs. While I don't think that I would need 32 gigs while working on this device since I have a desktop for heavy duty work, not being able to upgrade this computer in the future is disappointing.

Runs amazing, super fast and great for any type of work you wanna do, whether that be gaming or data analysis, or research, or really anything you throw at it this will take it like a champ!! It does not overheat ever! Other than the razorblade 16, which overheats like crazy and can never run up to its full potential, this right here is the laptop for you!

I’ve been using the Zephyrus G14 for a bit now, and I’m really happy with it. The performance is amazing — everything feels smooth, whether I’m gaming, coding, or just doing everyday stuff. It’s also super lightweight, which makes it easy to carry around, and the build quality feels premium. The only thing I noticed is that the battery drains pretty fast, especially when I’m doing anything heavy. It’s not a dealbreaker, but definitely something to keep in mind. Other than that, the screen looks great, the keyboard feels nice, and the laptop stays fast even when the fans kick in. Overall, it’s a solid laptop and I’m really glad I bought it.
