It’s surprisingly slim given the hardware inside. The build quality is finally on par with that of a MacBook Pro, which is a significant improvement and a testament to ASUS’s commitment to quality. Display The laptop comes with a 16-inch OLED display with a refresh rate of 240Hz, which offers vibrant colors and sharp details. It’s so smooth, it makes both games and regular tasks feel like butter sliding on a hot pan. It’s so good, you might forget you’re looking at a screen and not a window into another world. The screen is sturdy and can be opened with one hand, a feature that is often overlooked but greatly appreciated. Keyboard The keyboard on the ASUS Zephyrus G16 2024 is very nice, providing a comfortable typing experience. However, it only has one RGB zone. Having more than one RGB zone would allow for cool effects when typing, adding a bit of flair to your gaming sessions. For its premium price point, it’s also missing Wi-Fi 7. However, the good news is that the Wi-Fi card can be upgraded, so you’re not stuck with Wi-Fi 6E forever. Battery Life: The laptop comes with a 90Wh battery that offers good runtimes. But with a 4090 keep expectations within reason. Price: The laptop is priced at around $3299, which is a bit pricey, especially for the 4090 version. But hey, who said being the coolest kid on the block was cheap? Gaming Experience: For serious gaming, a chill mat is highly recommended to keep the laptop cool during intense gaming sessions. It’s like giving your laptop a personal air conditioner. Future Potential: With the upcoming addition of Copilot+ functionality for Nvidia GPUs by Nvidia and Microsoft, this laptop has the potential to become a powerful tool for AI-related tasks. I really think this is the best gaming laptop out there for now at this price range it’s fast and has tons of features and lots of storage

purchased the ASUS Zephyrus G16 (RTX 4090, i9, 2024 model) based on its branding as one of your “best gaming laptops.” However, after using it for only a short time, I’ve encountered consistent overheating during normal gaming sessions — even with titles that aren’t particularly demanding. Temperatures frequently hit unsafe levels: CPU exceeds 95°C under load GPU climbs past 85°C within minutes System fans struggle to maintain safe temps, even on Turbo or Manual profiles in Armoury Crate This isn’t a one-off defect — it’s a known issue in the user community, with numerous others reporting the same experience. This machine throttles frequently, cannot sustain performance for long sessions, and often becomes uncomfortably hot to the touch — all while running games it’s clearly advertised to handle. I find it incredibly misleading to market this as a top-tier “gaming laptop” when it clearly lacks the thermal capacity to deliver consistent, reliable gaming performance without advanced manual tweaks, third-party cooling pads, or undervolting — all of which most buyers shouldn’t have to resort to. I’m extremely disappointed with this purchase and feel the marketing did not accurately represent the real-world performance of this product. At the very least, ASUS should: Acknowledge the thermal design limitations Provide optimized firmware/fan updates Stop labeling this as a high-performance gaming laptop unless the overheating is resolved. So not I am stuck with a "gaming" laptop that can't provide very good gaming and now I am out $3300 sicne it is past the return date. ASUS should refund customers money based on this and allow the customer to return lroduct to them or allow them to choose another laptop in place of this one to acutally be able to fully game. I would even be willing to oay a oroce difference for something that does NOT over heat underload and its not even a game that should even come close to making this laptop overheat at all. VERY unhappy customer

This is a Great Laptop so great I wished for another one for Christmas for myself my son says the speed is awesome and the FPS and ping is top of the chart, whatever that means but he has not complained. this Gaming laptop is well constructed for both school and play. I recommend this on for sure. oh yeah the price is RIGHT!!

Runs a little warm and a little loud, but it's not bad given the power and form factor.

This laptop has it all. Best screen with Oled and 240 fps. Amazing colors. Enough power to run 99% games on ultra settings. Build quality is top notch not to mention how slim it is. Stay relatively cool during heavy use.

Great laptop some initial issues but as usual Beat buy to the rescue and replaced it for me. But a great product lots of power in such a compact for factor

I waited 6-months before writing this review. On the positive side, this computer is very light and portable. Very clean on the look too, which I appreciate it. And great screen resolution. However, it has some major issues for a "gaming laptop". First, performance. I have an older ROG, 3060, 16GB, which performs the same, and sometimes even better than this one. I have no explanation for this, all I can say is that it does not feel as a 3090 32GB... Second, overheating. This is a major thing. The top of the keyboard heats so much under gaming or other demanding activities you cannot even touch it. IT IS HOT! My main concern for this is longevity. Third, small stuff. Doesn't have an ethernet port, it is not upgradeable, the face ID fails ALL the time, and it has awful charging port (square one). Conclusion: If your goal is a portable laptop, that has some power to do some editing or occasional gaming, this might do the trick (although a little pricey for a second pc). But if you are buying this to be your main computer, and you use editing software or games, I would not recommend it. There are other options in this price range.

Excellent laptop. Superb screen and great performance with 4090 graphics

To be Honest the build quality is excellent but performance is very bad for 3.2k laptop . Cons 1. Does not handle long gaming sessions well (Over heats and game starts lagging). 2. when connected to a monitor it cannot handle , 240 hz displays . It simply shutters with a 4090 graphics and ultra 9 processor . Tried all the display settings but no help 3. Network Adapter needs a buff. Cannot reach any wifi signal even though in range . Had to buy a ethernet cable for stable gaming . 4. Haven't tried any editing softwares . Might perform well with those. Might be a Faulty laptop from the start ... Will return it as soon as possible. Anything beyond web browsing and this one heated up and is too hot to touch except on the keyboard. I really wanted to love this laptop because of the design and OLED. Just wasnt meant to be.

Awesome Laptop, the best ive ever used and probably will ever use. Alumium chasis, and 240hz OLED is awesome, i would reccomend this laptop at its asking price of $3200.

A powerful machine, but under heavy load the keyboard heats up quite a bit.
