Absolutely in love with my new ASUS Zephyrus! I’ve been so impressed the last few years with my first ASUS ROG I bought, so when the time came to upgrade, I knew I wanted an ASUS ROG.
This one seemed the best fit, even with a downsize of the screen. After seeing it in person, I wouldn’t trade it! This screen is the best I’ve ever seen in a laptop. Beautiful & vibrant! (I also appreciate the different ways you can format it, the Eye Care setting is a big help to me.) The refresh rate is astounding, no “stuttering” whatsoever. I’m using this to play World of Warcraft (Classic & Retail) & Hearthstone. It’s gorgeous in all. Smooth, silky play. You can’t see pixels in this thing! (Even taking a picture of the screen, a sin, I know...there’s no refresh ‘lines’ or ‘dots’.) It’s beyond light, I love the iridescent pattern on the outside, the rubberized casing has a good feel to it (I’m very picky about texture) that keeps it from getting smudged during a long play session & the keyboard is very receptive & quiet. Love that the spacebar is wider on the left side for jumping in-game when using WASD. The different lights that can be configured in the keyboard are cool for making it your own & fun to look at. It really adds a lot of personality to your rig. The trackpad feels nice on the fingers & performs well. (I went into the settings & changed the up/down orientation to my personal preference, happy that was an option.) Love that the SSD is all together 1 TB rather than partitioned, which was a bit irksome in my past ROG. My only nitpick that I have after some time with this one is that it runs a *bit* warm whilst gaming, (Stormwind at peak time gets it hot), but a laptop cooling pad has helped with that. Also, for gamers who understand, this computer can load into New Dalaran in a FLASH! If you’re on the fence about buying one of these little guys, I would definitely recommend you take the plunge. I’ve been very pleased with mine & I look forward to many future adventures with it! :D Also, thank you to Best Buy for keeping me up-to-date on my shipping schedule & for getting it here quickly & safely. <3

So far the ROG Z M15 has been a great upgrade for me. Here's a list of pros and cons.
Pros:
1) Runs all my dev and design programs(Unity, Unreal, Photoshop, SolidWorks, Blender, Sculptris, and more)
2) A lot of controls and neat features out of the box.
3) Amazing screen that flushes out graphics.
4) Runs games on ultra without too much effort.
5) A feature I absolutely love is that your keyboard changes color based off the heat of your processor.
Cons:
1) Battery life is meh. The heavier the workload it'll last maybe an hour or 2.
2) This things heats up! Get a cooling fan for 30 bucks to give it a boost and better circulation.
3) Fans can get noisy on turbo during heavy workloads. ^ A quality external cooling fan will help reduce that.
4) Has no camera or a place to put one.
Overall it's pretty light and powerful. I will update more as time goes on and am about to test for VR compatibility.

This is my first gaming laptop. Its nothing short than amazing imo. The fan noise does get loud when running a stressful program/multiple programs or when I'm gaming, and the hand rest area gets hot at the point its uncomfortable on the lap for long periods of time. I guess its given of how powerful this laptop is, its understandable. My only reason I took it back that is because the fps is locked on 60hz. I know its not an issue for most people, but as a competitive FPS gamer, frame rate does matter a lot. I play a lot of rainbow six siege and COD. Added to that, I also have a desktop build that runs on 240hz monitor. I don't see the point of downgrading to 60hz were I've been playing on 240hz for almost 3-4 years. Its just personal preference. I gotta be honest, the 4k looks stunning on this monitor. I think the 60hz cap is holding the full potential of the RTX 2060. The 4k version of the M15 is best for content creator such as graphic designers or video editors because how perfect the color grading is.
I maximized the 14 days bestbuy return policy to test the laptop and research on the side to see what fits my needs. I decided to exchange it for the 240hz rtx 2070 max-q version of the M15. I will most probably update this review once I get hold of it and factor out the differences.

I love this computer, but there are some obvious faults too. So, lets go over the pros and cons.
Pros
- very bright, up to 400 nits
- 4k res, with 100% adobe RGB color accuracy, this machine is incredible for content creation
- good gpu
- decent cpu
- very nice, tactile keyboard
- accurate, glass trackpad
- decent ports
- lightweight, not super obvious that it was built for gaming
- the usb c port has thunderbolt 3, so it can charge your device and you can hook up an e-gpu
Cons
- if you are ONLY looking to game, this isn't the machine for you, this is because of the 4k screen. AAA games will not run well on this in 4k. The gpu is good, but not that good. When you degrade a game to 1080p on this screen to play more powerful games, it looks more blurry than if it was on a native 1080p screen.
- the keyboard is very good, but rgb is one zone if you care about that
- fans can be very loud, especially if the game is demanding
- the cpu isn't ryzen. Ryzen cpu's have beaten intel by miles this year, so its a shame this doesn't have one
- the battery isn't so good. With the 4k screen and a dedicated gpu, this computer drains battery fast. It only lasted 5 hours doing some web browsing and youtube, even less if you are playing games. Also, no nvidia optimus, so disabling the dedicated gpu isn't an option to save power. However, while running on battery, armoury crate gives you an option to stop all programs using a gpu, so there is a bright side.
- there is no mini usb ports. There is usb c, but for people with older phones like me, there isn't an option to plug in to charge my phone or transfer data.
- no webcam, i assume this was to minimize bezels
Conclusion
Overall, this computer is amazing for content creation, viewing media, or just being amazed by all the colors and extra pixels. If you don't play games like red dead 2 or assassin's creed oddesy, you can play most games at 4k, and they look great. Even though my con list was longer, i just wanted to prepare people who thought this was only for gaming. 5/5

Great value considering getting it at 1250. Good thermal after undervolting the CPU and GPU. Fan is loud when gaming so a headphone is a must. No webcam but I am fine with it. Pretty slim and lightweight design and the 4k about 400 nits screen is beautiful and color is great(4k OLED panel made by SAMSUNG is better in my opinion though). Keyboard and trackpad is good. Ports are sufficient. Built quality is pretty good. Definitely a fingerprint collector so regular cleaning is necessary. Battery is decent for video and web browsing, maybe 4 to 6 hrs (Max brightness). Heavy staff probably around one or one and a half hours. Will need to purchase a 65w type C charge o see if works fine but the heavy power brick will be needed for full potential. Overall a great buy especially for this price.

Wow, this gaming laptop is amazing! From the body design to the hardware to the software...it is all here for you!
First thoughts and definite pros... out of the box settings for the backlit keyboard truly create an ambience. It slowly moves through the color spectrum which I enjoy. If that's not your thing, you can easily change this through the onboard Aura Creator app.
The graphics are immediately impressive. You get a world of color and depth. The graphics card has the capability of taking even low res graphics and making them pop. I am an older gamer and I have to say I love the way this enhances my ability to actually see what I am doing.
Another stand-out item is the reactivity of the keyboard. I was surprised the first time I typed on a board like this and had no typos. It is so responsive. This allows for much easier email drafting, as well as social media posting... posts that don't look like you don't know how to speak (or spell).
With 16GB RAM, you can run games, music and multiple browser windows, though I have read this is a mid-range RAM range. Nonetheless, it seems like I can be running artistic software, multiple browser windows, games and music without this little beauty skipping a beat. I can appreciate this in a big way.
The sound quality? Clear, crisp, and amazing! Whether I am listening to piano music, Indie bands, rock & roll, or any other genre, I get a beautiful quality of tone with this device. It feels like ASUS thought of everything!
As for gaming, I tested the device in servers where I typically get a lot of lag. I was impressed with the responsiveness of my device. While a server may have lag we cannot control, the quality of this laptop made my gaming experience infinitely more enjoyable.
What about everyday use? If I need to operate normal office apps, those apps run like a dream. Creating a spreadsheet, developing a document, or making a presentation present no challenge to this device. I would suggest that these are the simplest apps to run.
A final positive thought is that this laptop does not seem to get hot or make excessive noise. You can run a ton of stuff and it remains quiet and cool.
There are only two cons I have discovered thus far. While the flat black finish looks great, it seems to show evidence of finger touches rather easily. the other con is no webcam but this does not prove to be a big issue for me.
Buy the Asus Republic of Gamers Zephyrus. You will be glad you did.

Awesome 4K screen. Super fast 10th gen Intel. RTX 2060 runs any game at over 100 FPS at 1920x1080. At 4K it does 60 FPS but I didn’t buy it for 4K gaming. 4K gaming at 15 inches is kind of absurd in its own right. Granted this baby can do it easily. I still run games at 1920x1080. The color reproduction is insanely good. The other versions of this laptop that run 144hz, or 240hz have horrible color reproduction in comparison. The reds are real red, blue and green are dialed in so a photo editing enthusiast can’t complain. When I play a game, or view media on a screen, I want TRUE and ACCURATE color reproduction. This does meets and exceeds that expectation. Some people say it runs hot. I say all laptops run hot now. The CPU can handle it. I invested in a laptop cooling pad nonetheless. I can position the fans on the cooling pad wherever I want (there’s three fans) I positioned them right where the air intake is on the bottom of this laptop. Don’t waste your money on cheap gimmicky laptop cooling pads that have lights galore that never turn off. Get an adult laptop cooling pad from cooler master. It’s called U3 Plus.
I am also big on quality audio, I mean 192000hz and above. This laptop has the ability to do 96000hz. It says Sabre audio but it reads as Realtek HD audio in the device manager. This disappoints me. Also my super high definition Sony headphones that have a frequency response range of 3hz up to 100khz sound amazing on this laptop with one complaint. When the power cord is plugged in, there is always a buzzing sound. They positioned the headphone jack within a few inches of the AC input jack. I can unplug the charger from the lapto and buzzing goes away. This is super frustrating for me, only because I am a bit of electrician/engineer. This flaw may slip past teenagers or pot smoking adults hell bent on FPS but not me. I hear and see all. Also, the screen backlight is uneven. You can notice this on an all black screen. You simply can’t avoid this problem with current IPS LCD technology. Especially on laptops, it’s impossible, so it was not unexpected. I invested in the 3 year geek squad accidental damage protection plan. Don’t leave home without it. It covers just about anything. If you’re spending over $50 it just makes sense. 3 years cost me 36 cents a day. Don’t be stupid, get it.
Aside from the sound buzzing, this laptop is truly a sight to behold. It’s thin, it’s powerful, it’s everything you want in a laptop. When the 3070, 3060, 3080 laptops hit the market in January, this baby will still hold its own while the new ones will cost upwards of $2500.
Get it. Protect it. And be prepared for buzzing sound.

I adore this laptop, the screen quality vastly superior to my previous ASUS. (If you want clarity and quality, definitely opt for the 4K.)
The machine processes much faster, and handles multiple programs going easily. Download space is more than enough, and this will function perfectly for my full-time school, part-time work, and pat-time gaming. Full package!
However, this does tend to get hot quickly, and does sound like a loud fan as it cools, but it works well.

I bought this laptop for personal use, and I have to say that I absolutely love it. It is simple to use, is very fast and can play all my games on max settings and can the graphics look amazing the the screen (even though I lowered the resolution due to a second monitor being lower).
Initially, I was worried about purchasing this laptop, especially as I read about the fan being extremely loud and how hot it got. Well, trusting in the 14 day return policy from Bestbuy, I bought it. And initially, all of the issues that others were bringing up, I found them two, but then I started searching for solutions to see if it was possible to fix it in safe, easy ways that do not go against the terms of service. Some of the things I did was first, I undervolted my CPU in the BIOS, due to the fact that I didn't need to use the full power of the CPU which is in intel turbo mode by default and my screen could run a maximum of 60 fps. Second, was that I used a program meant for gaming laptop GPU's that was recommended on the ASUS forums. I adjusted my GPU to run it's maximum output to roughly 1500 Megahertz, one I didn't see any drop in graphics, even when I went back to the 4k screen, two my laptop fan became much quieter (the super loud fan was from the GPU), and lastly the heat output went from 79- 81 C to a maximum of 57 - 60 C. And again, I saw absolutely no performance loss.
One of the other items about this laptop is the asus power control and being able to adjust my laptop power supply to never charge above 60%, this allows me to safely leave it plugged in indefinitely without potentially harming the battery. It is also easy to adjust the option as well to go to 80% if I will be brining it to a meeting and 100% if I will be out all day with it.
The only real issue I have with this laptop is that when I close the lid to let it sleep, it seems to just turn off instead so when I open the lid, I have to manually turn it on each time. I don't lose any of my previously lost windows though which is nice, just a small inconvenience.
Overall, I wouldn't be afraid to tell others to get this laptop, especially if it is on sell, I would only caution others in saying that to fix some of the minor inconveniences that might annoy you, you will need to do some work and adjust a few settings to make it a machine you are happy with.

This laptop is a true step into next-gen without breaking the bank getting the best-of-the-best hardware. The i7 intel processor is so fast its ridiculous. Shut down and restart is a matter of seconds. ThCIDe amount of storage with a 1tb SSD is impressive. The RTX graphics are amazing, although most games have 7 million different graphics settings and that's what slows me down, "How does it run if I turn this up and this off" is what I find myself doing a lot.
Ran Cyberpunk 2077 on this with no issues on the laptop end. Play COD cold war all the time on high-end settings with 60 fps being no issue.
It gets hot, but this laptop has ample cooling. In-fact you'll game for a while and notice it getting warm and after a while you'll also notice the fans have a done a great job cooling it down.
I'm very happy with this laptop as I've always been concerned as far as performance goes, I bought a "gaming" laptop several years ago for 900$ to play Guild Wars 2 and when I got home and setup I was disappointed to find that it barely ran on medium-low settings. That laptop is currently hooked up to my TV via HDMI resembling a circuit board because it has broken so many times over the years and now has no purpose other than streaming Netflix and various other media outlets. I don't need it but I don't wish to throw away something that once cost slightly over 900$
Overall, this laptop slaps. Its powerful, has a lot of settings and storage. If you're computer savvy then I bet you be more than pleased with this.
Bonus points to the monitor, every time I open this thing up I'm impressed so much by the display crispness and color quality.

Great 4k Laptop for Price

One of the best 4k laptops you can buy on the market right now.
- 1080p and 1440p gaming at high/ultra settings will easily go above 60fps on most titles. Lack of fps on 4k titles however (30-40fps usually).
- Panel is one of the best screens I've ever seen; incredibly color accurate and bright. Combined with the specs of the PC, this makes it great for content creation.
- Thermals are to be expected on a gaming laptop but not horrible (40-50 C on idle/light workload for CPU to 80-90 on heavy gaming loads for CPU and GPU). Expect fans to reach 40 - 60 dB when at load, which is easily masked by a headset.
- ASUS support is horrible and unresponsive however, so if problems come up expect to fix it yourself or through another vendor. (I had a problem redeeming a game during a promotional event, there has been no hardware problem as of yet).
- Overall, if you're looking for a good gaming laptop with an incredible panel for content creation or even for work/school, this computer is almost a perfect option.

Great savings on this laptop. The 4K screen is downright gorgeous. Fast boot up and game loading from the 2060. Computer is fast in general and upgradable. The only negative thing is the 60hz refresh rate and the battery life (which is to be expected on gaming laptops) but everything else makes up for it!

This laptop is amazing, the 4k display is bright and sharp and for gaming I use it mainly for Final Fantasy XI so no need for high refresh rates, the 60HZ works great. Runs quiet, and even on turbo mode it's not that bad to the point where it sounds like a Jet engine. If you game with a headphone and mic it'll be a complete no-issue also.
The only thing that Asus could've done better is put a Ryzen 9 4800hs on this as it would've improved battery life and workloads as it's 8 core while this is the i7-10th gen with 6 cores for mult-threaded apps and would've probably brought the price down a bit as well.
Battery life I get about 2.5-3 hours of gaming unplugged and 6-7 hours on light workloads not bad but not industry leading.
The case is nice and clean, love the prism look to the cover, and the interior is soft and tactile and does a good job to prevent fingerprint smudges. It's also light and portable.
No webcam or biometrics by the way if that's a dealbreaker for you.

I really like this laptop. For watching Netflix the 4K screen is unbelievable, just use an external monitor if you want to game. It’s about as fast any other rtx2060/10750h combo, so choose the laptop that looks the best to you. This one has a squared off shape that I like. It’s got loads of ports including a thunderbolt 3. If you use this computer for school in addition to gaming, the thunderbolt port also supports usb c charging. So I bring along a little 65w usb c charger in my backpack, and leave the 30lb block of a main 220w charger at home. It’s ssd is very fast, definitely nvme speeds. And the WiFi is way faster than my 2017 laptops was. It can get a little loud if you have more than one or two things running at once. So put it in power saving mode when at school, lest the teachers will think it’s room service trying to vacuum the floors.
