Customers find value in the ROG Zephyrus M15's performance, especially for creative work and gaming, and its superb screen quality. Many appreciate its lightweight design and the fast SSD, although some note that the battery life could be improved. While the keyboard is well-received, heat and fan noise are recurring concerns for some users.

Would give more stars but unfortunately within a few months of use the headphone jack is completely unusable and within a year the usb ports are slowly becoming unusable as well. Any sudden movement and all sound from my headphones are gone. You have to be very careful on any movement near the usb port area. Its very unfortunate considering I really love all other aspects of the laptop, games run really well. It does heat up quite a bit but its a laptop so of course its gonna heat up. The display is very pretty, I love how games look on it. I've had this laptop for 2 years so its doing its job for sure, its just disappointing that I have to be super careful when using my USB headphones otherwise they disconnect.

This is such an amazing step up. Super lightweight and cool during casual activity. The 4k display has ruined me for looking at any other screen to be perfectly honest. During heavy duty activity it gets very hot, but there are 3 fan settings.

Amazing gaming performance when charger is plugged in, runs the recent games on high settings at high FPS (around 500fps) and keyboard is awesome. 4K I don’t really have a use for but maybe others can. I only hope the refresh rate was higher than 60hz No I was not forced to write this.

The display is wonderful but it doesn’t seem enough. So I’ve been comparing the Asus M15 4k RTX 2060 to the new and cheaper and highly discouraged Tuf F15 RTX 3060. It loses every time. I know that it is wasting energy in powering the 4K panel but the difference is stark. Reviewers denounced the F15 3060 because of the 4 core processor but it is quiet, and highly capable, even more capable than last years 6 core 12 thread intel cpu when gaming. Running games like control and Forza in ultra settings on 1080p with no problem. The M15 struggles with running those games on ultra settings Ray tracing is not a thought with the M15. The F15 runs everything smoothly with Ray Tracing on high with still getting 80+ FPS in control. And it is quiet. More quiet than last years Revered G14 and definitely more quiet than this 4k M15. It yells just loading a game and completely screams when there is action happening on screen. I want to so badly to keep this, but the F15 is simply a better value with clearly more power. I’ve managed the fans, I’ve reduced resolution in hopes of helping it perform well. I’ve reduced the resolution and connected my monitor to the laptop and disabling the monitor to see if that helps. Nothing. Now, don’t get me wrong, this machine can game. And it will look good and play well on some titles. But throughout my testing the F15 is the better option. For creative work, I’m sure this display will be pleasing because it is gorgeous but if this is reason for the massive performance degradation, then avoid and get something else. 4K medium settings with no Raytracing with loud fans and burning internals is not worth. All of this being said: I am no computer wiz. I’m a slightly above average consumer and don’t know certain tricks to get this computer to my desired performance. I want it to blow me away Out of the box and unfortunately I had the F15 to place my expectations in reach with less compromise.

      Dear Brad,

I'm sorry to hear about your experience with this laptop, this certainly sounds like a frustrating situation. As you noted, 4K resolution is much more demanding for a GPU than 1080p, and it is much easier to achieve higher than 60FPS frame targets on 1080p systems. Based on your description, I would recommend returning this model. I will also forward your feedback to the Product team for review. If you have any general or technical questions, please email me at cl-lane@asus.com and include case #N2104050140 for reference.

      Thank you for choosing ASUS!

      Best regards,

I was reluctant to buy this computer because ASUS isn't the most highly recognized laptop maker. I wanted a powerful laptop with a GPU on which I could do some artificial intelligence and machine learning work. This laptop is exactly what I wanted. I'm very happy with my purchase. It works so well I wonder whether if I could live without my primary computer, my MacBook Pro. I'm very happy with the purchase. My biggest disappointments are the lack of camera and not having a touchscreen. I knew they were missing when I purchased it, though, so no crying over spilled milk.

This is a great entry level gaming laptop. Has the latest iteration of the Intel I-7 processor and a 4K with 60htz refresh rate. Screen is bright and colors are properly saturated. Not as powerful as the g14 and does run kinda of hot(and loud), but overall a great buy.

So far this laptop has impressed! Great display, runs smooth! Also, Best Buy and Newegg both have this particular models memory specs to go to 24 GB max, this is incorrect. This model has 8 GB soldered on the board and an 8 GB 3200 DIMM. The 8 GB DIMM can be removed and replaced with either a 16 GB or 32 GB DIMM, for a total of 40 GB! I opened a support case with ASUS to find out, as the specs page on the ASUS US website says it can go to 48 GB, with the 16 GB soldered memory, but this one has 8 GB soldered, so thus 40 GB total. I can confirm that I have upgraded to 40 GB, and the laptop runs great!

As mentioned, it's really a great computer for the price point. It runs nicely on performance mode. Quiet is great for browsing. It has a lot of fluff. The big issue is the heat. Even with a desk fan, it really cooks. I mean burning fingertips if they sit too long, hot. I'm looking into spending a total of almost $100 additionally to attempt a remedy for this. I still consider it worth it, as I haven't used a powerful laptop that doesn't run hot yet at the mid-range price-point. From what I've researched, it's due to the material used in the casing. It's fairly conductive and not great for temp control. It does get too hot to use after a few hours, but that isn't totally unheard of.

I had an Alienware M17 - constant problems and finally just gave up and bought this ASUS today. I highly recommend this laptop, it's fantastic. It's hyper-fast (SSD), CPU/GPU are great, the myASUS panel is easy to use, and the Armoury Crate has tons of customization options any gamer will love. It's much lighter than my old laptop, really like the care they put into keyboard placement for sound, F-keys, and normal function keys. Keyboard has a nice tactile response, the UHD resolution is top notch. Two drawbacks: it came with Windows Home (would have preferred PRO,) and there isn't an integrated camera. If you're looking for an upgrade or new gaming laptop, this is a great priced powerhouse.

This laptop was a 5 star for the first 10 days. We bought it on 1/14/21 then the screen stopped working 1/24/21. It was definitely the screen as we hooked it up to a remote monitor and everything appeared as it should. We took it back to Best Buy since we were still in the correct timeframe for a return. Best Buy was excellent as usual and provided an exchange. We came home with the same model laptop and have not had any problems with new one. We definitely bought the extended warranty this time though. The graphics are excellent and it runs relatively fast enough for our gaming teenager. It does run hot so we purchased a laptop stand with built in fans to keep down the heat.

This laptop has a great 4k HDR screen so streaming a 4k HDR video from sites looks great. It is understated styling for a gaming laptop, there is no glaring RGB lighting. The keyboard is soft-touch and when not playing graphics-intensive games it does not get hot. The touchpad is not too sensitive and has good touch-detection. It has plenty of RAM upgradability with one M.2 drive slot open. it also can be upgraded to 40 GB of memory if you put in a 32GB memory module. it is a great little laptop for the price, it runs well and is light.

I use this as my daily driver for work. A *lot* of programming, working through the browser on web servers, VPN, remote desktop, Office 365, etc. This machine runs all of that without breaking a sweat. I've tried running Steam and some of my more graphics intensive games and it runs *those* just fine as well. Honestly, my frame rates in games like Grounded, 7 Days to Die, Subsistence and others are the same as (or extremely close to) on my desktop system that has an RTX 2070 Super. That system has a MUCH older quad-core processor, though, so take that as you will. Pros: * Runs daily office and programming tasks, web browsing, Netflix, etc. like a dream. * When NOT running graphics-/processor-heavy tasks, I'm getting 7+ hours of battery. * Can run AAA games without issue, especially if you keep it at 1080p. Will run at 4K too, though. * Too many to name, so I'll stop there. Cons: * Just nit-picking, but it doesn't have an onboard camera. This is both bad AND good, though, as a lot of people don't WANT a camera that they have to cover up to avoid privacy issues. * Also nit-picking, but you won't get much gaming time with this thing unplugged; maybe a couple of hours. If you're looking for a daily workhorse that can do video and audio editing, programming, movie watching, gaming and whatever else you throw at it, all while being very light and sleek, then I highly recommend this laptop!

This computer is a beast. I didnt even know this compuyer was on sale. I walked into the store and one if the guys that took care of me explained the difference between 2 i was looking at and then suggested this computer. It runs games well if u play ay high settings for demanding high graphic games. On regular games that dont have high fidelity u can run at 4k 60fps. The speed of this computer from boot up is faster than a ps5s boot up screen which isnt normal on laptops. This thing packs a punch just make sure u get a really good cooling fan this thing heats up alot but not enough to worry about it crashing due to overheating

I purchased this one after having a few issues with my previous laptop. The screen resolution was the big thing for me as I was spoiled by Apple's displays by owning a Macbook Pro prior to that machine. The screen itself is something that I can honestly say that competes with apple. Every day I open my laptop to play a game I always get such joy knowing my resolution is extremely high. GPU matches and lets me play 50 FPS on Final Fantasy 14 in windowed mode which isn't 60 but it's acceptable. I have yet to try other games out but so far this laptop is top tier. Excellent quality, subtle looks, light, and powerful. Overall its a solid machine that I do not regret purchasing.

It was great for a little while. I didn’t get a protection plan, and it started overheating quite a bit. Fans are strong enough to cool it, thing is, it cools so quickly that it causes condensation, which in turn got the motherboard wet with condensation, which caused it to corrode. Lasted about 2 years. Little bit less.
