Customers are saying
Customers find value in the ROG Zephyrus M15's performance, especially for creative work and gaming, and its superb screen quality. Many appreciate its lightweight design and the fast SSD, although some note that the battery life could be improved. While the keyboard is well-received, heat and fan noise are recurring concerns for some users.

Armoury Crate is the biggest downside
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this lap top for music and video editing as well as for some light game. I have no complaint about the build quality, display quality and connectivity. BUT BE WARE if you want to use Thunderbolt audio interface on this laptop. I am using Universal Audio Apollo Twin X Duo audio interface and get constant pops, cracks and distortions. Though I finally find kind of solutions and get it working. But it only works when you connect the power adapter. To be short, when you switch to "Turbo" or "Manual" mode in the buggy bloatware Armoury Crate. Namely, you disabled all power-saving features and let your laptop run in full-speed. All pops, cracks and distortions disappear. Once you switch to other mode like Silent, Performance or Windows, you get insane noise and distortion all the time. And once you unplug the power cord and run in battery, YOU CAN'T switch to Turbo or Manual mode anymore. On a regular windows desktop or laptop, you can customize these power-saving features like Intel SpeedStep, GPU behaviors in Windows Power Plan (I learned these in the time when I was using old-school Firewire Audio Interface). But on Asus laptops, Armoury Crate takes total control of Power Plan over windows. You can't customize these features in Windows control panel anymore. While in Amoury Crate, literally you can't change anything in these modes, you can't figure out what exactly caused those pops and cracks. What's even more, Armoury Crate is BAKED in the hardware. I format the hard drive and installed a clean Windows 10 and I still can't access these controls in Windows Control Panel and I saw "Asus Armoury Crate" in windows device manager! On a desktop, you can also disable things like SpeedStep in the Bios, but on this laptop, you don't have any options in the bios. So I have no way but to let laptop run in "manual" mode (ironically, you can basically change nothing in this mode). Other Cons I think should be mentioned include: When I connect my Apollo Twin to the TB3 port, the laptop will notify me that I am using a slow USB charger. (so my audio interface is CHARGING my laptop, funny?) Thus there will be a warning icon in the taskbar constantly The response time of the display is rather slow, there is noticeable ghosting even in some fast pacing video. I think it is not good for FPS players. So I think the Armoury Crate is THE BIGGEST problem of this laptop. But if you don’t use Thunderbolt Audio Interface (I believe most will use it on Mac). It won’t bother you. I will buy a Thunderbolt 3 Dock to see if I could get a perfect solution. Or I have to return either the laptop or the audio interface.

Great gaming, easy to navigate
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The gaming has been incredible, seamless to use, and has been one of my favorite computers I've had. It does run hot after playing a high performance game for more than an hour though, but no drop in FPS or performance have been noted.

Powerful laptop, not just for gaming
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Powerful laptop, has what I need for work. Connects easily to peripherals, drive is super speedy, and there's plenty of ram to ensure I can run the processes I need. Graphics are good for design work, as well. I'm very happy with this purchase and Best Buy's pricing.

Switching from Gaming Desktop to this Laptop
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I switched from a 5-year old gaming desktop that had an old mechanical hard drive that was becoming too slow to do anything. I'm so glad I made the switch to downsize to a laptop that could handle the gaming I wanted to do and I could take it on the go. What I love most about it so far is the speed and EVEN the extra stuff ASUS added to the machine that ADDS to the experience and isn't just bloatware. I love how it has the battery option built in their software to extend the battery life if you leave it plugged in most of the day. I love how it handles my games thus far, including Overwatch and Warzone. It's so speedy and does everything I want. The keyboard is a little smaller than I'm used to but I got accustomed to it real fast. I switched from CyberpowerPC to this ASUS and I think I might have found my new favorite gaming company. I have no complaints thus far. Very happy with my purchase.

Turbo Fan speed sucks & temperature isn't great.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far it's been smooth at handling average simulation gaming with medium graphics settings and still being useful when it comes to creator content. It does lag a lot when using max graphics or gaming in 4k settings which is to be expected with only 60 frames per second. It's definitely a nice upgrade from my old laptop that took over 5 minutes to start and hours to update compared to 3-5 seconds for this one to do both. When first testing it out I noticed that when plugged in or unplugged, gaming, and putting the fans on turbo it causes temperatures to reach 80-90 degrees on average. Also don't expect to be able to game for more than an hour on full charge while unplugged, because it can not handle that. If the fan speed is left on silent no matter what task im doing it does not come close to reaching those high temperatures. So i don't know if it's just mine or what but it kinda defeats the purpose of being able to control the fan speed.

Excellent build quality
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really love this laptop. The screen is amazing. The speed and power are superb. I researched laptops for several days and finally decided on this laptop. The build quality is also fantastic. I will stick with Asus when I make another laptop purchase in 3-4 years.

Worth the price
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop is great! More that what I need for games, video and photo editing. It feels light and could not tell the difference between the 3lb G14. It was worth the purchase. Not too bummed out with the no built in webcam.

Great laptop, but a few issues.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The laptop is great, its quick and it has many uses. I use it for gaming. I only have 2 issues. 1, it is LOUD under performance or turbo, and 2 I have a screen flicker issue. The screen just randomly flickers every now and again.

Content.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It doesn't annoy with excessive fan noise, instead delighting with visual pleasures and audible goodness. The battery life means you can happily work all day too. Indeed, about the only irks are the limited connections and lack of webcam.

Very nice the colors look super bright.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first gaming laptop. I really like the 4K display and how bright the colors look. It runs league really well. Only problem is the battery, I haven’t found a way to make it last long. But still gets a 5 star.

Gorgeous Windows Gaming Machine
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is one beautiful machine. I needed a personal laptop and decided on a gaming laptop, since I couldn't find a Xbox Series X. I figured this would provide better bang for the buck. The 4K screen is beautiful, however the performance mode while gaming revs the fans like a 747, but since I got this OOB for ~$900.00, I got one heck of a deal. The keyboard is wonderful. I upgraded the ram (max 40GB) with a HyperX Impact 32GB 3200MHz DDR4 CL20 SODIMM Laptop Memory (HX432S20IB/32). The laptop only runs @2666 MHz, according to Asus specs, maybe a future bios f/w will provide 3200MHz capability. Overall I am happy with this purchase, my only cother consideration, would have been the Asus Rog Duo, but it costs 2-3x more. Peace and blessings, Azeke

Good laptop
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I enjoy this laptop. Lots of memory and easy to set up and use. My son uses it for his gaming. Only complaint is it gets super hot while gaming. Simple fix of an extra fan. Very light and easy to type on.

Excellent little powerhouse
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent laptop for gaming, unbelievably light and tiny for a 15”. Easy to upgrade RAM, only one stick though, and easy to add another m.2 drive with the screw for it already inside the laptop.

Gaming laptop
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I used to be a mac fan) till now, and I am still using my 2011 macbook pro 13, I think this thing will never dies)) But I bought an Asus, and it's just WOW! It is so fast, it takes about 10 seconds to turn on, my old mac boot up time is about 2 minutes!!! And this is not a joke. I am not a serious gamer but I like to play racing and shooter games, and looks like RTX 2060 can handle everything, no thermal issues, fans do a great job, and 4K display is just amazing, am very glad I didn't get it with 1080p screen. I wish rgb lights where brighter and have more control, and a keyboard feels a little shallow, but this is not a deal breaker, you can always buy a nice mechanical keyboard, and this is what I did, everything else is great, no complaints so far!

Great Gaming Computer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is a great gaming computer. I really enjoy the size and weight of it. My only complaint about it is that this computer doesn't have a camera so you'll need to get one if you want to do any video recording or video calls.

Open Box Heaven
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It has been two months and I’ve checked of a few tasks in that time that I think have demonstrated that this was a good buy. I was looking to replace a tower that I had custom built some years ago. The tower had lasted quite some time, I used it for imaging analysis, but lately it has gotten slow. No amount of work was going to help on this tower without a significant investment. I was lucky enough to look at some open box items at my local Best Buy and found this ROG for a significant discount. I am happy I did as now I am having fun with my VR headsets and Microsoft Flight Simulator, the laptop is a beast and handles anything you throw at it with ease. Looking forward to keep putting it to the test.
