Customers admire the ROG Zephyrus M15's performance, graphics capabilities, and long battery life. Many appreciate its lightweight design, comfortable keyboard, and ease of use, finding it a good value for the price. However, some users note that the fan noise and heat generation could be improved, and the lack of a built-in camera is a common point of feedback. Storage capacity is also mentioned as an area for potential improvement by some users.

honestly feels a little slow for the specs you are getting but overall this is a great laptop. when in turbo mode, the fans are horrendously loud but with a nice pair of headphones on, you can't hear them. it gets quite hot fairly quickly but it's a laptop so that isn't unexpected; just remember that the far left edge of the laptop is going to get very hot. i can run call of duty cold war at 90 ~ 130 fps on high settings, vanguard runs at 60 ~ 80 and halo: infinite runs at about 80 consistently. the 144 hz display is also great coming from 60 hz. i never realised how huge the difference actually is!

This computer has exceeded my expectations in many aspects, I lasted about 1 month looking for the best option of computers to buy a new one since my previous one was about to stop serving, I was looking to go to the next level in terms of speed, storage and processor. graphics, without a doubt it is a very good option and for the price it is just the point between quality and price. The processor is good, the speed is good, the graphic quality, the size of the computer, the size of the screen, the speakers, the volume, the number of ports usb, hdmi, ethernet, microphone, camera and C. are of wonder the only thing that I would have also included would be the camera.

Great mid-range gaming laptop

I got this laptop to do VR at other people's houses (right now just my parents due to COVID). I tested it on FarCry 5 and it averaged over 75 FPS on ultra and 90 fps on high. It plays all the games I have tried on high to ultra detail with no issues. As for how it handles VR, it works great. I tried Five nights at Freddy's VR and Half-Life Alyx, both ran smooth and had no issues. I would recommend this laptop to anyone who does not want to break the bank but wants a good mid-range laptop. Also, the only drawback to this laptop was the Solid-state drive, but I bought a second NVMe (you have to use an M.2 SATA/NVMe drive as this cannot hook up a 2.5 laptop drive) to add an extra 1tb of storage space.

It's been my first gaming laptop and it has met all my expectations. Even succeded them on some fields. Powerful enough to run demanding games, and still have a comfortable experience. It does run hot and it's loud, but it's just to be expected from a gaming laptop; get a cooling pad! I also love its aesthetic, it doesn't scream out loud "I'm made for gaming!" but it's also not plain and simple like just casual or business laptops. For this price, it's easily one of the best options to go. Absolutely recommended for begginers and even for those who just want a portable companion!

Good computer.
I’ve played games like Overwatch, Modern Warefare and it runs good on a power supply.
I’ve also used it for school runs zoom and other things well too.
I liked this computer because it is one of the best looking- slimmer performance computers on the market.
-only bad thing is that the battery is bad: 4 hours is ok if you use idle in a single place. If you plan on using it on the go it might be sorta hard.

Laptop for WOW and Manjaro

I specifically bought this laptop to play World of Warcraft on Linux. Everything works on Manjaro with the 5.11 kernel with the exception of the headphones. I'm able to play on ultra settings with the CPU/GPU reaching temperatures of 80+ degrees celsius. At medium settings, the temp doesn't get above 77 degrees.
Speakers are decent, color palate is acceptable. Keyboard is great.
If you're using this to play WoW, and you're concerned about heat, DO NOT install gamemode.

Very fast processor that can pretty much handle everything thrown at it. The GPU inside this laptop is definitely mid range but can handle most recent games at max settings 60fps minimum. The only game that struggled at max settings on this laptop is Flight Simulator but the game runs great on medium settings in that game. 16GB of RAM is great for multitasking without an issue on top of the 6GB of memory with the GPU. The SSD loads games very quickly as well.

I love the led multicolor keyboard very sci-fi, the only drawback is the fan screams but I guess they all would at this performance level. Enjoy this you deserve it.

Amazing Laptop For Price Point ($999)

TL;DR: Amazing laptop, though depending on how you are, may require some tweaking before you get comfortable.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I bought this thing 300 dollars off (it was 999) and honestly, I am very satisfied. It does what it says on the tin, however a few compromises were made. Nothing drastic, but I feel it needs mentioning.
Screen: Color is honestly a personal thing. I like vivid colors. For me, I find the screen just a bit on the dull side, but that's just because I can be a bit picky. Thankfully has pretty much non-existent backlight bleed so it actually does very well in a dark room. (IPS monitors are notorious for backlight bleed, even on very expensive panels). Also nice having that high refresh rate as well, definitely helps for those intense games where every frame counts.
Storage: Not bad, but not the greatest. For me it's not so bad because I mainly just need it for like 2 games and everything else is on desktop, but it's still pretty small. Thankfully, you can unscrew the back cover and simply either add another or just flat out replace the main drive. There is two slots, only one has the drive.
RAM: Good amount, though having one stick can be a bit harsh on those that really really need RAM speed. Can make upgrading difficult since it's only one slot.
Case/Build: Not really an issue, but something I noticed is that the right hinge cover is a bit loose. Probably that way for maintenance purposes, but it was a bit odd to feel. The physical lid hinge is solid though.
Software/OS: I did find that it had some random weirdness due to throttling when not plugged in. Was playing rust and it for some reason started lagging when turning, but was 100% fine when plugged in. The power modes in the armoury crate didn't do much to help if it was on battery.
Overall: For that price, it's amazing! You do get what you paid for and there were definitely compromises made to save money. If you're just a regular user who wants a good computer, this is for you. If you are a professional who absolutely must have the best of quality, please go save a bit more and get something else. I got it on sale, not the original price. I would not want to pay 1300 for what I got with that. 1000 is fine though.
Even if you do have issues with some things, there's almost always a way around. Besides the RAM, you can pretty easily upgrade and what not. The few gripes I do have are more towards the occasional glitches with the armoury application than the hardware itself. The only real issue I see with it is being a bit harder to figure out when first pulling it out. There's a lot that can be tweaked, but not much explanation. Hell, even I had some issues and I feel like I can say I am pretty good with computers. After getting settled in though, it works great. Since it really never had any true issues and instead had some minor caveats, I will still give it 5 stars.
If you want to spend more than a thousand dollars though, I recommend looking at one of ASUS's higher tier products. This one is by no means bad, but if I spent any more, I would hope to have a bit more quality. Especially on storage size.
One last thing.... No bloat ware! Of course, since this is a premium laptop, that is to be expected, but no all manufacturers will do this. Makes it really easy on the end user since you don't have to clear crap you won't even use
I love this computer however the Asus I had to return due to it was open box and crashed was so much nicer it had Retina display and was touch screen this computer does the same level of functionality except no camera which was a easy fix for 20.00 I added a webcam however for the price they should consider adding one into this model otherwise it is a awesome gaming computer quick response time and able to run multiple platforms
It's a nice laptop, but it doesn't quite set my socks on fire. I came from using a mac, and while the transition was somewhat smooth, there's a few things that bother me:
- Right out of the box I had to replace the charging cord.
- The screen brightness is lacking. I find myself squinting even on max brightness during the day.
- The plastic casing feels...flimsy? I'm not at all gentle with my machines, so I'm precious about it for fear of breaking something. I've accidentally punched it a few times trying to do VR and my soul left my body each time.
- Not fun to try and clean. :(
As for what I like?
- The battery life is insane and it charges quickly.
- The sound from the speakers is great as well, and it seems that the onboard microphone has done nicely for remote DnD.
- The keyboard is REALLY nice to type on. I can type my fingers off and I don't get a lot of fatigue-- this is coming from someone who slaps on a mechanical keyboard 8 hours a day for work and gets some serious soreness. I wish my work keyboard was this nice.
- It doesn't get hot unless I play games with my partner.
I'm a little sad that I'm now going to be spoiled by the screen size, and I'm not so keen on the storage space, but it seems that upgrading the onboard storage shouldn't be too hard. You can crack it open and service it easily, it looks like, which is important to me.
I'm not entirely sure if I'd buy another one of these if it burst into flames, but I'm fine to ride this laptop for as long as it'll last for me. It meets my needs, and those needs aren't super demanding.
This is a great laptop, I did not play too much, but I used some heavy software and laptop ran smooth. Fan kicks in when heavy processing, it may be loud for some people I am ok with it. I got it on sale and it was a great deal for the price compared with similar ones. I also have a acer nitro 5 which is awesome too, but it has an older processor and less ram. For regular games you won notice difference, they both have same graphics card.
Worked great for about a year and a half, upgraded the ram and added a 2tb m.2, then eventually the cpu fan started buzzing and I started getting BSOD, it stopped being capable of installing drivers a while ago so I can't fix it by booting from usb since it won't read usb drives, now its just a brick
I consider Asus to be one of the best companies in the game, especially for gaming computers. The build quality of this machine is fantastic and it performs wonderfully. I purchased this laptop on open box for 829.00. I believe it retailed at 1100.00. I play all AAA files with ease. The screen is fantastic and colors look amazing. One con is the fans can get loud but the system stays cool.
I really like this laptop as it can handle quite a lot! The laptop has a good amount of ram so it can do a bit in the same time span. I also edit on Adobe PP and it runs very smoothly, an upgrade from my old Macbook for sure! This screen is also HUGE and very nice to look at. The screen is great for watching TV and movies, as well as editing! I could not be more happy with my purchase!
