Best Laptop I’ve Bought t to date

I completed a fair amount of research on laptops. This is an amazing machine. I bought it for school, and gaming and I’m blown away. I use AutoCAD, it loads in seconds and I’ve had 0 issues since day one. Please be aware this thing is a space heater. When gaming, have your headphones handy. In silent mode, well it’s just as I would expect, performs well for regular tasks. I will be upgrading the RAM and adding a second storage drive in the future. I wish I had bought something like this sooner. Well done ASUS.

Amazing product. The laptop is sleek looking and quite fast. I've played several triple A games and graphics are great while maintaining great speed during load times. My only negative is the battery life... simple tasks or small games are good but anything tasking like COD, RDR2 or Doom eternal drain the battery fast. Other than that I am very happy with the product.

Great laptop especially after doing some tuning (CPU undervolting, using manual fan curves on Armoury Crate + using a cooling pad). I managed to run most of my AAA games at high settings, 50 to 60 fps while keeping the temps in the 65-75 range and the fan noise to 43 db on Armoury Crate, and this is a lot quieter than the turbo mode (which allows me, by the way, to run most of these AAA games at ultra settings 60+ fps at the cost of heat and extreme fan noise).

Good price for what's in the system. Plays todays games on medium settings with ease, high end games will bog it down if you're trying to play on max settings. Like any other laptop, it does get hot, but the turbo settings allows for the system to get cooled down. BUY A COOLING PAD!!!

Excellent Laptop for the price I got it! It is amazing how it looks and the screen is so beautiful that it sometimes looks better than my curve monitor. It does run relatively hot when you start a game, but so does your desktop, you just don't realize it. It is a powerful machine. I have a gaming desktop, and although I don't game that much, I installed a game just to test the capabilities of both devices. I was surprised to find out that the laptop performs (slightly) better than the desktop. I will still use the laptop for work mainly, but it gives me peace to find out that it is so powerful. Recommendation: do not start a game without the computer plugged it. The battery does not have the capabilities to run everything as it if was plugged in and you will not be able to use the laptop at its maximum potential, unless you change the settings, but then your battery will die out really quick. Speaking of the battery, it's great! Can be compared to some non-gaming notebooks, but it is definitely better than most gaming laptops. I was between this and the G14, but I decided to go for this one because the G14 didn't have this nice screen and although many people agree that the build quality is better, that is simply a matter of preference. I love the feel of the keyboard and the laptop and I think it is much better than the G14. Final remarks: Absolutely great, it is a beautiful laptop with extremely powerful capabilities.

I got this little beast on sale, but if I hadn't it is still a great value and a powerful little machine. Right now you would be lucky to find and buy a desktop 2070 GPU for the price I paid for this laptop. I have not had a stutter or a throttle in Doom Eternal or COD. My version also has a 1TB SSD which is very nice. Good brand too - my last laptop was an Asus and I never had a problem with it except a dead battery and that is gonna happen to all laptops.

Needed a gaming laptop while on a trip and didn't think anything would compare to my desktop. It did an amazing job for the price and size. I ran it in "Turbo" with an extra fan mat to keep temps down but was able to run all of my games in high quality (not max or ultra though) and it was perfectly responsive. Turbo is loud because the fans are running max but I was using a headset so it didn't matter to me. 75-80°c is pretty scary to see but I guess that's normally for gaming laptops.

Very good gaming laptop! The refresh rate is what it is described. My only issue is the laptop easily heating, and the fan in the laptop ins’t enough to cool down the heat while gaming. But i bought cooling underpad in amazon and my issue is solved. All in all , its perfect for gaming, and very classy design . And pleasing on the eyes

I purchased this Laptop at a discount price. For the value and what you get, it is awesome. The fans do run loud under heavy load, so if you use this for long gaming sessions, I suggest to get a cooling pad. So far, every game thrown at it plays great with no problems. I use this laptop as my main for gaming and streaming and so far, I am not disappointed with my purchase. Asus has been making great products at a affordable price compared to competitors.

I purchased this open-box from the Best Buy at the Avenue's mall in Jacksonville, Florida as a "I'm working from 'Home'" while travelling computer. Fast and easy setup, no missing items as far as I can tell. Handles Citrix remote connections very well, both the web client and the citrix receiver. (old version of the receiver, Citrix is pushing their Workspace product but the number of issues it creates with other software renders it useless) The granularity of control enabled by the included software is insane! Per application control of the fan, keyboard backlight, etc, etc, etc. gives the user the ability to tune the laptops power consumption and performance to a level I only could dream about before. The keyboard is responsive, the keycaps easily readable, the lighting is great. The display's color is crisp and accurate and the included software has pre-sets for different applications (Fast paced games, RTS, RPG, Cinema .... ) that realy make the display POP! Performance of the SSD is insane, Streaming games from my desktop works super on AC wireless even across the house, although it outpaces my desktop if I run the same games locally on the laptop. There is no webcam, so I use my phone on the thunderbolt port for Zoom calls. And what a pleasure it is to use for work! Citrix streams without hiccups or noticeable lag. The RTX 2070 Max Q seems to perform almost as well as a 1080 TI for non-raytraced games with much less power draw (the MAX-Q series is downclocked to meet the TDP of small and thin laptops, providing impressive performance while it practically sips power and still doesn't turn the laptop into an adhoc hot-plate)

I love the laptop. I already played gears 5 and i enjoyed it. I had to return one since one of the fans was making noice. No questions asked, bestbuy gave me a new one. Before buying the laptop I got 34 inch LG monitor with Freesync. At that point I wasn't thinking on buying an nvidia GPU laptop. I noticed some lagging, but not much I hope I can get a decent gsync GPU. I enjoyed the game. I am adding more memory and another ssd. Great buy, no complaints yet.

Quality build, snappy performance. Keyboard has a great feel. The mousepad has a quality click and surface texture is great. The outer body is made from a quality plastic that has a slightly rubbery feel which keeps the weight down. People have complained about how the key lighting isn't the greatest but I think there is just the right amount of light from the keys. The speakers sound slightly heavy with bass. This computer is a great bang for the buck

Bought this as a portable laptop that will play some games (CoD, Destiny 2, Division 2). It handles them all quite nicely. It does get rather hot, and the battery life is not that great, but the battery life management program is great. I love it that it’s understated. It is a solid gaming laptop without looking like an alien spaceship.

So far I really like this laptop. I have never owned a gaming computer before this. I like how lite and portable it is. Much easier to take around than my old 17". So far no issues playing games. Though it does get hot in a very short order. Though I have not encountered any loss of performance because of the heat so far. Love it so far.

I purchased it about a moth ago on sale. Runs current games well, but the fan will get very loud and the computer will become unbearably hot while playing graphically intense games. Recommend using headphones and some sort of lap table if you plan on using it on your lap. Overall I have been happy with my purchase.

I am enjoying the beautiful display, light weight and fast processing. (These were the things I was looking for). The light up keys are a nice feature as well. Yes, the fan is a little noisier than a more basic computer as others have described. If you wear headphones you won't hear it. It has been great for video games, videos, and work projects. I can finally enjoy features in games that I did not know I was missing.

Used daily for over a month and really like this laptop. For me, it’s a fantastic balance of performance for gaming, personal and professional use. It does get loud in turbo and will get hot while gaming so recommend a good cooling pad but I haven’t experienced any heat related issues under heavy load. The only ding against is one of the RAM sticks is soldered on so upgrading to 32Gb in parallel not really an option.

I decided to purchase a gaming laptop due to the lack of space in my room. This gaming laptop will perform beyond your expectations, but I would greatly suggest a cooling system to go with it due to the constant overheating. Overall, I would recommend this to teenagers and adults whom are into running the latest games and those who prefer a more condensed gaming system.
