This Wi-Fi extender is great. It was easy to setup the extender using the WPS button. Wi-Fi network through out the house is very robust.

I got this to see if it would be faster than my wireless TP Link adapter and unfortunately for my situation it was actually slower even with a hard wired ethernet cable. Could be decent if your router is closer.

The product was junk it only worked for 4 days before I quit working it was difficult to set up but once it was set up it only worked for 4 days it's junk

Doesn't join AIMesh Wirelessly, constantly drops

Would not join AIMesh network wirelessly despite trying/factory resetting several times. I had to connect it to another mesh node with a network cable.
Once connected, it stays connected for a few days then drops from the network.
This ASUS AIMesh system is very pricey and with this kind of quality, save your money and go with a cheaper brand. It'll give you heartburn too, but at least your wallet won't be hurting so bad.

Very rarely do I write a review, and I dont think I’ve ever written one on the Bestbuy site. Nonetheless, I felt compelled to do so for this device because there was only one other review, and it was a very poor one. I don’t mean to argue with someone else’s experience but I do want to support a company when it makes a good product, so that they will continue doing so. Just to be clear, I have two pretty high end Asus routers so I cannot comment on the user experience with other brands. However, for my specific needs, I am very happy with the device. I recently purchased a new Asus GT-BE98Pro Wifi 7 Quad Band Router, which I also think is a great product, and which has greatly improved the speed and performance of many of my connected devices, using AT&T fiber as rhe internet provider. Additionally, I now have my older Asus GT-AXE16000 set up in my home office as a mesh node, with my main computer and other business related devices connected by cables. With that said, the problem I was having was that while the two routers communicated, the connection just wasn’t very good, primarily because of the unique configuration of my house and the fact that the signal has to travel through a few walls. As such, I was looking for a solution and noticed that there was one of these devices in stock at Bestbuy, so I bought it online and picked it up on my way home, despite the one negative review. It took just a few minutes to set up and it works flawlessly. The connection between my two routers is strong and steady now and my many devices throughout my home are now happily connected to one or the other router. One specific customization that i made was to set the dedicated backhaul of my office router to this device, which keeps that router from trying to switch connections to my main router. Anyway, I can’t say for sure that the person who left the negative review did not encounter a genuine oroblem. But I felt compelled to leave this review as a counterpoint because I am very pleased with it and appreciate that Asus made such a great product available.

We bought this to extend our WiFi into our back four season room. While it works great for the room, it really needs to be part of a mesh system. Buying just 1 isn’t doing the job.

The Asus WiFi router management app was unable to establish a connection even though the range extender was connected on WiFi on my iPhone. The setup and mange device functions were not usable.
Additionally the Ethernet connection if you plan to use it feeds into the bottom of the device rendering the plug below completely useless.
As delivered this product is not functional as a WiFi extender. I will be returning this pile of hot garbage. Wish I could give it zero stars.
