    Big Improvement Over ISP's Router

    My client had a weak wireless signal in his back room, which he uses as a home office. He had a contractor run an Ethernet cable for his desktop computer, but needed better wireless for his phone and laptop. I bought the ASUS RT-AC1200GE, and configured it as a wireless access point. I'm tech savvy, but the setup was still easier than I expected. It is connected to his office Ethernet cable, and the desktop is plugged in to one of its 4 gigabit Ethernet ports. He now has a great wireless connection in his office. But he told me he's found the ASUS router also has a better signal, everywhere else, than his ISP-provided router - even when standing right next to it! He's very happy with this unit.

    This ASUS router was easy to setup and works great. It has a dual band, 2 ghz and 5 ghz. I use the 5 ghz and it is fast and reliable. I downloaded the phone app which allowed me to update the router's firmware. I recommend this router!

    Router was easy to set up and connect. This router is a little faster and reaches throughout the house, which our older one had a little trouble with. So far, we have been very happy with this purchase.

    No more freezes on Zooms and Skypes

    We had been having trouble for months when on Zoom and Skype where we got frequent freezes in motion and sounds. It would snap back after about 10 seconds or so but it was a pain. I complained to the internet provider. They said it wasn't them. I upgraded to this router replacing our old one. It's been weeks and a lot of Zooms and Skypes. So far, no freezes.

    I set up this router as an Access Point, the coverage is great. Setup was easy with both the ASUS app and through the IP address. Speed is consistent with my other ASUS router or slightly faster.

    Good for a basic router. Range is ok for a small house but the signal gets weak quickly as the distance increases. If you need high performance, consider one of the more expensive premium models.
