My Netgear router had the 5ghz channel crap out and factory reset did not fix it--it was less then 2 years old! Decided to change brands and try an ASUS router. On my Netgear, top wifi speed was around 170mbps. With the ASUS I'm consistently getting 210mbps. Excellent range and signal strength. It's been rock steady so far. I like the fact that with the switch on top you can completely turn off all of the lights (which I did). Hopefully it will last much longer than the Netgear brand did.

A straightforward process of having the router setup and working. Takes less than 10 minutes! Bandwidth and speed is a 100% improvement, no more buffering!

Initially worked great for high internet speeds for gaming and streaming netflix and other similar apps simultaneously. Then out of nowhere, spectrum does a firmware update and no longer supports 1 gbps download speeds even though it is on their website, as the supported device in the list, they provide. Unfair to rate this product poorly as I put the fault on Spectrum

The Asus RT-AX82U has a good balance between ease-of-use for beginners and advanced features for gamers. The app provides all the features needed, including the ability to set up a guest network, and extensive parental controls that include content filters for a wide range of unsuitable material. There’s also a security feature called AiProtection that monitors your network for malware and hacking attempts from malicious websites. Doesn’t require an additional subscription. Performance is very strong.

Fantastic router! Purchased for Wireless VR with Quest 2. Easily handles 200MBps highest quality setting in Oculus Desktop and Virtual Desktop apps.

Good app integration and fonnection was easy. Before connection just make sure you configure network settings on your device or else it won't connect

Absolutely love this router. It’s been my favorite router that I have ever owned. Before I had my Google Nest mesh Wi-Fi system and it was great but the speeds were not great and I would get only 170mbps at the most on the satellite Wi-Fi points throughout the house. So I made the switch to this router mesh system (currently have 2 in my home). It covers the entire house with anywhere from 400-700mbps and my desktop is wired to the router in the office upstairs and I have constant amazing speeds. If you want really good reliable speeds, I recommend this router for sure!

This wifi router is by far one of best! You will not be disappointed.

Works well easy to install a little hard on parental care but once in it sets the whole house up in the middle running like 15 to 20 devices and three hard wired

I have had noticeably less lag when gaming online when compared to the router/modem combo I used to use. I paired this with an Arris surfboard and it has been so great.

Non-techie, non-gamer review: We've had this router a few weeks now, and it's been terrific. It has great range and seems to loose very little speed compared to our hardwired computer and the devices using wi-fi. Setup was really easy. The dedicated gaming port (we're using it for streaming instead) is really fast. There are three other ports (is this the right word for "plug in a device"? port? non-techie/non-gamer, remember...) for other devices or systems. We get reliable, strong wi-fi through multiple walls, our entire household and outside areas.
