Huge difference from my old ASUS router.
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. With three kids in zoom class, video streaming and video games the Internet Wi-Fi has been a bit unbearable throughout the day with super low speeds. This router has made a huge difference, it also was extremely easy to setup! The ASUS app is really easy to use and haven’t had any problems with drops or slow speeds. If your dealing with drops or having a problem with full coverage in your home this router will make a difference!

So far so good!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Quickest setup I've ever had on a router. My kid really likes the blue lights too because they kinda have a cool in and out fade. I have a 2600 square feet home and the wifi is reliable througout the whole house ever since I set this up.

||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love how this router looks like a spaceship. You can customize the colors. Was soo easy to set up and it is future proof with WiFi 6 and mesh networking. I recommend this to everyone. You can even control the rougher from your phone with ASUS’s App.

Great for the first two weeks.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After a Year of using a First gen wifi 6 TP Link router, I decided it was time for an upgrade. Enter this Asus router. I won’t lie. Aside from its wifi 6 capability and its slick alien/gamer design. There isn’t much outside of the ordinary. The setup was easy and the experience was great. Then about 2 weeks ago I got a firmware update that ruined my experience. I ended up having my devices constantly disconnected from my network and the have the connection established immediately. Initially I thought it too be an overwhelming amount of devices on the network, when in reality I barely had 1/3rd of it max capacity. After dealing with the constant connection and disconnection my devices, and with little support from Asus, I made the choice to return the unit. Much better options for the same price roughly.

Awesome Router and Awesome App. Love ASUS.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This router was amazing. I originally purchased the Netgear AX5400 on black Friday thinking it was a good deal "half off for $150", but man was I wrong. Constantly having issues with the 5Ghz band and the range. With a router that is normally $300 that is unacceptable. I had so many other issues with that router as well. When I went to best buy to return it, they were out of stock but had this router in stock at a comparable price. I paid a few extra bucks and got this and haven't had any regrets. I've had it for a few weeks now and have not had any issues. The range is awesome and both 5Ghz and 2.4Ghz bands are working great. I have about 20 devices in the house "Xbox, PC's, Firesticks, Smartbulbs & plugs, cameras, etc.." and no problems with any of them. Would highly recommend spending the extra money on this one.

definitely worth the buy
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.this thing is epic!!! we have at least 6 streaming devices running at the same time in my house. sometimes i feels like more with phones, multiple tv/roku devices, game consoles, 4 computers. now with 6 devices running on a 500mbps bandwidth streaming at the same time, we dont have any lag whatsoever. i tested the internet speed for wireless and wired devices. i got 430mbps wireless and 480 wired. that is really good. and this was with eyesight to the router so best case scenario. objects and electrical devices in between could cause interference with any router configuration. the router has a lot of tools to help you personalize your network as well. i can add devices to the network and name them individually like dad's phone, or home pc. with an asus motherboard, i can give my computer priority over all other devices. you can do that with other devices too, but it favors asus products of course. you can set a guest access feature that turns off after a set period of time. and there is much more to play with that i have not tried yet.

Fast speed, dedicated gaming port.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This router is very fast and thus far seems to maintain a very reliable wireless connection. The range WIFI range is good. I have about a 2,800 sg.ft. house and I can get good signal in all rooms but not much on the patio. The reason for the four star review is the phone app. I find the app is hard to navigate and I can't get it to work at all outside the home. I thought the apps were intended for remote access.

Works great; good deal for wiFi 6 capability
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This review is from a technologically knowledgeable but normal home user, not from an expert in wireless technology who require amazing bandwidth for 45 devices. The router was my first wireless router purchase in probably a decade...apparently devices are all fancy now, and can "beam-form". I was using an ATT-fiber-service-provided modem/router combo that they force you to use, and wanted to see if we could get better coverage for outdoor wireless cameras around the property. I can't conclusively say there is better coverage because i didn't measure the difference, but everything seems to working very well so far and my cameras seem to be running out of battery less often (which COULD be partially because they don't have to constantly search so hard for a wifi signal). I don't play games that require a lot of bandwidth, so i can't comment on that. If you don't like the "Aura" lighting, you can customize and change it. For people like me who tend to NOT buy the latest and greatest tech every 2 years but still want to future-proof somewhat, this is one of the most affordable wifi6-enabled routers i've seen. Here's to hoping this carries me through the next 10 years. *WARNING TO ATT FIBER CUSTOMERS: There is apparently no way to "turn off" the wifi router portion of their combo modem/router. Port forwarding through your required modem/router combo will be required to make this router work with their equipment. If you don't know how to do that, call ATT and they should be able to help you (i was actually surprised by how helpful they were).
