    ASUS continues to impress

Honestly, I've had dozens of routers over the past 10 years, I have a problem lol. I really like Netgear because they offer Bitdefender, and its easy to manage a bunch of them remotely for family. But for myself... I always come back to Asus, and this guy just makes me fall in love all over. I can't seem to make it angry, and trust me... I'm hard on networks being in Enterprise IT, and on off time streaming thousands of TV/Movies and hundreds of video games. I put these through the gauntlet downloading terabytes of data till they crash... and ASUS seldom ever do. If you are a gamer, this guy will be all you need for years.

The router is aesthetically appealing, has an array of options and settings you can play with, and pretty efficient in serving it’s purpose. The app is good if you know what you’re doing. For beginners, It could definitely be better in explaining the functions and all the various things the settings can change.

    ASUS over NETGEAR!

Bought a netgear AC1750 ($150) 3 weeks ago and spent forever trying to get it to broadcast the speeds that I was receiving from my ISP. Finally netgear said that they would replace it, but wanted me to pay to ship it back to them. Since I was still in my return window, I returned it to BB and got this bad boy. Installed, updated firmware, and off to the races. Not only does it do it’s job as a router, the iPhone app UI is hands down better than netgear. I wish I went with this one in the first place!

If you're looking for a reliable FAST WiFi router that can handle a lot of devices look no further. I've used Asus routers for 10+ years now and not only have they been reliable, rarely ever drops any devices. I did about 3 months of research on different brands, tri-band, all the latest and greatest Marketing Fluff and came to a conclusion that the Asus AX5400 is a great buy for the speed, ability to handle tons of smart devices connected to it without breaking a sweat. Plus Asus offers free internet security, parental controls, allows you to optimize performance, it's just a great router. I went from averaging 120Mbps at 50ft to 350+Mbps at 50ft with my HP work laptop, every corner of my home has increased speeds!

This router very fast and got very good range . It far more better than Asus AC 86U (the one it replaced) . But with $20.00 more I have a better choice with Asus AX5700 with slightly faster and got a better range

Bought in the summer of 2024, it died by January 2026. I got about a year and a half out if it before the radio chips burned out. This is the second Asus product I have purchased that did not make it to two years. I purchased a laptop and the hard drive failed a year and a half after purchase. DONE with junk Asus products. I would absolutely not recommend Asus products to anyone.

    ASUS Router Review

It is a good gaming router. I got it to prioritize my son’s gaming traffic (through QOS). I have had mixed results with that. I am not sure if it is the router or PC though. It also won’t sort by devices for real time data usage so that is odd. Besides that, it is good.

Very fast speeds. My wired connection to my ps5 gets close to the speeds i subscribe to (~900Mbps). Wireless devices get about 600Mbps. Very easy to set up. Happy with product so far.

Gets the job done. Only thing i question is Asus's loyalty to their consumers after them intentionally voiding their warrenty on other products like their motherboards having issues that burned up those AMD cpu's. Probably my last Asus product just to be safe incase. They always get greedy in the end...

STAY AWAY FROM TERRIBLE ROUTER. I'm an ex-computer tech. I've run our network in our building for 18 years. I know far more than the average person, but it shouldn't take more than the average person's knowledge level to run a router. First router we've used that won't stay connected through any browser. Loses website connections (all open tabs) many times per day. Reset, firmware update, simplify configuration, stock or modified, IT LOSES CONNECTION FOR 5-10 MINUTES AT A TIME MANY TIMES PER DAY. This happens while painlessly being connected to any number of RDP clients, or none. Doesn't matter. Would never recommend. And now BB only has a 14 day return policy, so no returns. Replaced it with a NETGEAR Nighthawk WiFi 6E Router (RAXE300). It's run perfectly without any changes on our end since we installed it. Bought is using Prime, since they have free returns and will even pay the shipping.

Really easy to set up. Wifi 6 appears to have boosted my speed by about 60 mps as my max speed was about 160 prior, then after this router I could get 210ish. A lot cheaper than other options. So all good!
