Bought this to replace a Netgear Nighthawk X6. It is infinitely better. Tons of features (especially for gaming). Very useful app. And it looks cool as hell!

Using this as my primary router and its been nothing but solid. I get the full speed from my ISP that I’m paying for over wifi. Using another router as an aimesh node with this with no issues. I have a secondary internet connection and this has loadbalancing and failover. This also has a VPN function with openvpn so I can access my home network from anywhere.

The router works well. Easy to set up. Works well for me. Range in the house is good 1800 square feet not a massive home. No issues with devices connected to router wifi or wired. Game PC is wired to router and the other is on wifi with no complaints ecat for internet connection un related to router. Costs a little more for features but otherwise better than my Lynksys that just passed away.

Upgraded from my old netgear nighthawk router and I love it. I can control it through an app also instead of having to login through the browser.

    Fixed my Wifi network problems

Bought this yesterday, I'm happy with my purchase. Previously, the router I had was a Asus N56U doing router work (using OpenWRT) and a TP Link AP for wifi. And it did a decent job, just with minor quirks. For example, Chromecast would buffer every 10-20secs during a Youtube Livestream and always lag behind a mobile device (ex. streaming it to a phone would be ahead by 3secs give or take on the same Wifi network). Gaming on the Nintendo Switch (Smash Ultimate for example) would have a sudden lag every time someone used VoIP (again on WiFi). Oh did I mention VoIP also would have buffering issues as well (Messenger/Wifi Calling)? Despite the issues, OpenWRT did alleviate much of these problems because it was even worse using the CenturyLink Modem (despite the fact that it was NEWER than the N56U). Multiple streams would cause issues by either buffering or dropping the quality to 480p. Voice calls would buffer and slow the network, gaming on wifi sucked, downloads slowed down, etc. The custom firmware helped with bufferbloat by using Cake for SQM. But the issues persisted and would always annoy me when it happened. I've used that for about 3yrs and just adjusting settings to improve performance. But there's only so much you can do... Well, I bought this and had to adjust some settings to make sure it didn't interfere with other wifi signals and bam! it does. Does everthing perfectly and all the issues i mentioned have gone away. Honestly, its overkill for what I need. The biggest improvement wasn't AX/Wifi 6 or OFDMA or maybe MU-MIMO, but my guess is the processor and QoS. The N56U had a 500mhz processor and for multiple streaming devices (I have at least 3 devices streaming in the home) that takes a toll on it. This one has a 1.5Ghz tri-core processor. And it handles multiple streams like a champ along with gaming and calls. QoS is a bit more smarter? I guess... It gives me more options but just using Traditional QoS instead of their Adaptive QoS is good enough. Not as good as cake sqm but it does the job fine. Only issue i dont like is Asus collecting information if you use any of their "performance" and "security" settings, and as someone mentioned, it makes the router not worth it if you dont use those settings. But for my use case it's great and in the future i will plan on using custom firmware on it for long term use. Very pleased.

This router is excellent. I have over 60 devices connected to it and it doesn't skip a beat. I have the traffic monitor running and if you like to configure your devices, this will give you many tweaking options. Only negative I have found is it doesn't appear to support the RIP protocol. If it does support RIP... I have yet to find it.

Well so far it seems far better than my rt-ax58u. Range is better and covered the entire house, even the garage where no router ever would cover before. Turned my rt-ax58u into a mesh node, and also my old rt-ac68u. Now the whole house has no weak spots at all! The only thing I don't like is that it has no indicators for the LAN ports telling you which ones are plugged in. Don't know why Asus cheaped out on that part.

I love this router, I ditched my old netgear nighthawk for this one and it is 1000% so much better. Internet runs smoothly and so much faster, I’ve had this in my house for months and never one problem, so I bought another for my parents. the app is simple so use and overall I give this product a 5 star for sure!
