For some reason it is causing random packet loss and not passing traffic for a few seconds. If you are browsing websites you won’t notice it, but if stream, use vpn for work, or play video games, you are definitely going to notice the issues.

I have owned a Netgear Nighthawk and had consistent issues with the router shutting off a lot. This router has great features such as direct ethernet prioritization built into the router. The QoS is easy to set up and ASUS has been a reliable brand that I have owned for the last 7 years. Hard to go wrong when picking this router.
