Decent router for small area coverage

Setup is super easy, user interface is excellent, just wish it had better range. If using it in a small-medium sized single story home or apartment it would be a great choice.

I needed additional coverage, but the ASUS was no help. I returned the Asus router. I purchased a Linksys mesh system which was easy to install and had much better cover.

Bad warranty support, apparently not reliable.

Warranty is handled through best buy, who is impossible to deal with. Maybe worth it if you buy through another website and get proper warranty service.

Horrible product

Like others have said, this router won't stay connected for any length of time at all. I've had two other Asus routers that worked flawlessly, so I'm not sure how Asus screwed this up so bad. There is a model up from this, and it would be the one you'd want. Stay away from this like the plague

Doesn’t work at all

I tried to setup this router using both wifi and hardwired ethernet. Both don’t work. The wifi would not come on at all. The ethernet lights blink a few times and disappears. I tried resetting the router. I went through the troubleshooting steps. Nothing works. It could be a bad unit but I’m very disappointed because I had high hopes.

New Router

I had good clean signal in the house and anywhere around the densely wooded property even right along a path of power lines some 300 feet from the house. THEN IT DIED. KAPUT! Lasted 2 weeks. Exchanged for another one, a U model not an S, that is still working.

If this is related to your interner service or connection, please verify if the PC or device connecting to the router is working properly and it is within range to the router. Also, check if the router is within 30 feet to the ISP's modem, if not wired by a network cable, and ISP(Internet Service Porvider) internet service or connection is working properly or stable.
